Rated 7 out of 10 by Game Sniper A cool game but...
Alright here is a deal. When ever there is a movie based game, you know it either sucks or is good. This falls under good. The gameplay makes you feel like your part of the terminator movie and with more story line. However, it is missing one major factor. The ONLINE MODE. Hello? what happens when you beat the game. Sure, the campaign may be fun but after a week or less, your 60 bucks is done. What creators don't realize is that they will be do so much better if they put more time into the online modes. It will give the gamer more to do with the game and simply give excitement to a true gamer. When you see the new movie, you will recognize a lot of things. The scenes are closely related with more side scenes. There are machine guns galore which brings out the excitement. Nothing really special though. Hey, if you want to be apart of the machine, why not get it. If your looking for a game you can keep playing...PASS ON THIS ONE!

This game is at best mediocre, which in the gaming world is typically unacceptable. For starters there are alot of little things that hold this back from bieng all that it could be,like aggravating checkpoint locations, annoying difficulty spikes, and the small fact that this game takes forever to load.Plus there are alot of other annoying little things, like how all of your allies have the same a.i.as a carrot, and all your enemys are almost super genious's.On top of that all the terminators are insanely over powered(really hard to kill and can do way too much damage). The graphics....arent very good.Although I do like the setting, and the textures for the environment(pavement, dirt, and trees)are mostly pretty good, but the poor animations for the people make them look more robotic than the terminators at times. But what kills this game is the 4 and a half hour campaign, this game ends before it even really begins. The soundtrack is descent, and the voice acting is ok,and 2 player co-op is always nice, but dosnt save this from bieng a waste of time and money.

I really can't find out what is more unbelievable: that the game has received terrible reviews, or that I thought the game was great! SOUND: good sound, I could hear the entire game (especially the bullets). CHALLENGE: I thought the game was pretty challenging throughout all of the levels. CONTROLS: I thought the controls were just fine. They were just the same from any other action game. GRAPHICS: the graphics were okay, but sometimes the characters mouths wouldn't move ( most of the time they did) . INTERFACE: I think the game all together was pretty much related to everything they did (they weren't just running around in circles shooting robots). LENGTH: I have to admit it, it was pretty short . But most of the levels were long. STORYLINE:I think the game made a great use of it's plot. Trying to save a man who's hiding in SKYNET where all of the machines are made. The game is about the journey to SKYNET and what you have to do to survive all of the machines. I think there will be some people who are fans of this game and some people who will despise it.
Rated 1 out of 10 by Fire5 disapointment
Pretty much it is a very shot game with not any challenges whatsoever. When i mean short game it is really really short. A major disapointment is the co-op mode. You cannot even do the co-op mode unless you have a second controller connected to your xbox or via wireless. You cannot even connect to a game with your friend or what not. So in other words false advertisement in the xbox live mode of the game because there is none period. I beat it in like a few hours after getting the game on easy normal and hard. only 11 achievements very easy most of the achievements and 80g so its pretty easy to get a good gamer score on it. It may look good but I personally thought I wasted my money on it. :'( I mean if you want to get then go ahead but I would wait for the price to go down or get it on gamefly or blockbuster or someplace because its not worth the money. I give it some props with how i rated it but not worth the money or effort. hard is even considered easy. Thats all have fun if you want it but i suggest getting a game more worth the money and the time.
Rated 4 out of 10 by GameCollector78 The Terminator Games Countinue
As a game collector i have played the many terminator games.I think the franchise is an underrated series.Terminator games are far from perfect though they are plenty undderated. This game was pretty much a huge blowout to it's undderated series. The story first of all was about 4-5 hours long. The game is extremely repetitive as you go through and fight 3 enimies. The cover system works pretty well but the overrall game is pretty bad.The graphics are very bad for the next gen consoles. The challenge is nice and easy on any diffucalty.Controls are basic shooter controls and this game exceeds in the control era but heres where the twist comes in.The story is cutscene after cutscene as it fails trying to tell the movie story.Players will often be confused by the extremely dark graphics. So many characters will often fail at trying to fight these robots as they would die in a second failing to fight the machines. This game is co-op but try finding a friend who wants to play this game.Overral this game is not recommend for any player unless you enjoyed the others in the series.
Rated 10 out of 10 by SonicNIGHT Rent first, cuz this is more of a party-game.
By party game, I mean, the game is much better offline co-op than it is by yourself. Aside from T3: Redemption and T2 Arcade, this is prolly one of the best Terminator games out there at the moment. I don't think it was worth *** ***** but it's not as terrible as everyone is saying. Ironically, I had problems with the sound sync but after a few days it seemed to correct itself, lol. If this game had multiplayer and Online co-op, it'd probably rival Gears of War or Army of Two, but alas, it does not. The Terminators in the game are fairly tough to beat without a few lucky shots here and there, but the loading times are brutal after awhile. You can use the joysticks to mess with the Terminator's head though so loading times aren't completely unbearable. All in all, it's a fun game but if you're not a die-hard Terminator fan, this is more of a rental, due to the game's length and lack of special features.
Rated 4 out of 10 by dangerz0ne lazy game creation
I completed it in about 4 hours. You move along the wasteland and encounter the same 4 enemies throughout the whole game from start to finish. When the characters speak, the mouths don't move. The graphics were decent. If you are bored and just want a short couple of nights game then it's ok. I would be really mad if I had spent retail price for this game. Basically, it follows along the same results of all the movie-to-game titles. The backgrounds and effects were pretty good, but they just got lazy with the actual enemy creation. I mean with all the machines turning against humanity, and all the possibilities of enemies, the most you will encounter is 4!? The movie had some really good enemies, but this was not transferred at all into the game. The game also has nothing to do with the story of the movie. That's not a negative, and the storyline they created was ok.

Well, another movie game that turns out to be awful, what a surprise. The commercials actually made it look good, but apparently they focused on that instead of the actual game. Last-gen graphics, no length or challenge. Good thing I rented this. I returned it 4 hours after picking it up. Do developers even think that what they are making is worth mass production? This game actually makes me wish there was a nuclear holocaust and my skin was harvested by robots. Don't buy this unless you're willing to lose $**. They teach you in school not to wait to write a paper the day before it is due...maybe developers need to rethink higher education. So, to reiterate, DO NOT buy this junk. At least the movie will be awesome, and honestly, what shooter doesn't have online multiplayer? You are just asking for failure if you don't include that feature. TERRIBLE.

After seeing the movie I thought this game would be great. After a short trip thru the game I thought wow this is it? Too short, they throw in cut scenes everywhere, sometimes you run around a level without fighting an then bam a cut scene. The AI "team" is useless. You wind up using a shotty and rocket launcher or grenade launcher the whole time. Grenades only work on spiders pipe bombs work on terminators but only with direct hits. The M16 and Saw are useless. The driving parts are ok, they also are short. The only fun driving part was in the tank. Only 11 achievements? Wow. There is no replay value to this game. NO MULTIPLAYER!! What were the makers of this game thinking? Have they ever made a game before? No multiplayer = a dusty game on your shelf or traded in. I would give this game the finger if it was a choice. Very lame.

Being a T-fan I have to say that this game was a disappointment. The length of the game and the difficulty were truly non-existent. Weak story line, but you did get to blow some terminators away. The only good point was that I rented it and didn't buy it. Done in 3 1/2 hours and I am not a professional gamer (hard). Don't go playing this if you think it will represent the movie----NOT. Story shows the development of John Connor to what he becomes-really has nothing to do with movie-which by the way was great! Once, you have figured out to flank the machines the game becomes pretty easy except for a few unsteady vehicle situations. Hate those motorobos. Anyways-it's not a total bust if you like the T-Franchise, but it on par with the rest of the terminator games that have come out in the past. Overall, just good enough for a rental.
