Product Details:

Surf's Up is an exciting arcade surfing and extreme sports video game. The action is set at the annual "Reggie Belafonte Big Z Memorial Surf Off," where surfers from around the world are ready to risk it all for glory. Players will experience the rush and thrills of surfing in exotic surf spots around Pen Gu Island, and can rip it up as one of 10 characters from the film, such as Cody, the young challenger from Shiverpool; Tank, the merciless champion; or Z, the surfing legend from the past. Only by mastering and understanding the waves can the player become not only the new champion, but a true surf legend.

  • Innovative arcade and surf feeling with players performing a variety of impressive tricks in the air and learning to surf inside a tube.
  • Win the championship in the single-player mode or challenge your friends in the multiplayer mode with easy pick-up-and-play game controls.
  • 10 playable characters with their own tricks and characteristics.
  • Impressive water simulation and physics. Surf in a variety of locations, each with its own waves and obstacles. Train in the calm water of Shiverpool, ride your first tubes in Pen Gu Island and try to surf on the explosive waters of the volcano area.
  • Tons of unlockable content.
  • Awesome game soundtrack for carving waves featuring more than 20 licensed music tracks.
    1. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Entertaining enough for the Quick Gamerscore This game is obviously like six years old now, but I only just now played it. The only reason I got it was because I remember how much I enjoyed the demo from the arcade disc like five years ago. My favorite games are RPG's like Mass Effect and shooters like Battlefield, but even this game was a rather entertaining game for some quick Gamerscore. It's easy to play, although controls are a little iffy, and the fastest Gamerscore I've come across in awhile. You're thrown into a zone of water and there's a constant wave on the side of the screen that you can go on and do tricks and tons of ramps and rails to grind on. Once in the air all you have to do is click the trick buttons and a random trick is done. There are 10 characters and many surfboards, which can be customized. You can beat the whole game in about an hour and probably have like 650 Gamerscore. With about two hours you can have 850 if you get the main medals and some surf idols (collectibles). With about four hours you can have 950 if you hunt most the surf idols. And if the sloppy turning controls screw you over as much as they did to me, it will take about six hours, or less, to get the full 1000 Gamerscore. There's like nine surfing levels and 3 leaf sliding levels in this game, and that's it. They take like seven minutes each and as long you got the main medals, then you're basically done with that mission. The only replay value really is going for the achievements. Pros: Easy to play. Entertaining. Quick Gamerscore. Cons: Turning and balance controls are pretty rough, making the collectibles achievement very frustrating. Either-Or's: The game is very short, not necessarily good, but not really bad since you get fast Gamerscore. OVERALL: It's a short, entertaining game with one very annoying control issue but it's all worth it for some fast Gamerscore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun... if you're a fan My girlfriend and I love the movie. It's funny, cute, and entertaining. I figured I'd pick up the game given the price and being a fan of the movie. First, the game is terrible by any means. It's actually pretty fun and has some replay value. I highly recommend this game for young kids, but unless you're a fan of the movie or surfing, stay away from the game. The game is SUPER short. The only thing that lengthens the game is collectibles and I'm not a fan of running around trying to find every little collectible. I beat the game, unlocked all the levels, board, characters, and all the extras in the same day I bought the game. I recommend this game to achievement hunters as well. I have 950 points out of 1000 missing 1 achievement being collectibles. Second, there isn't much of any challenge. I had to replay some levels a couple times but it was TOO easy. This is why I highly recommend the game to little kids, which I am sure the game was originally designed for.

Rated out of 5 by from Awesome Dude I cant wait to play this. I dont know much about the game, but it looks like its going to be animals against humans in somekind of surfing competition. That is a great idea because alot of people think humans are the best surfers, but how good are animals. I mean we dont see them on tv suring or in magazines so not alot of us know how good they are. I cant wait to see if i can use an elephant to surf with because i think that would be kind of ironic. Does anyone know were this game takes place? im going to say this game is going to rock your socks off and just the sort of thing these next gen consoles were made for.
