One for the kids
I am a Star Wars gaming fan! I own TFU, TFU2, and recently purchased The Republic Heroes. This game was NOT what I expected. I mean I know the game outdated TFU but...... it is more an anima game than anything. It is geared towards the kids, similar to Lego Star Wars and such. This could be a great game to play with your kids during a parent kid game night. Or your kids with their friends.
The controls and camera are a bit awkward at first. But they are ok after a while. The story is lacking a little. The game is 2-player Co-op which is a plus when a child has his or her friend over they can play together. If you are a Star Wars lover this game is a must for the collection. it is an easier to beat game. Story isn't to in-depth, which is the reason I believe it is geared for children. The violence is toned down so it isn't influential. If you have a kid, its a good game, if you are buying this title for yourself you may want to rent it first. That's what I would recommend!

Great starter game with your kids
I was looking for a game my son and I could play together. He is 4 years old and so far the only game he's done really well at was Castle Crashers. He took to this game instantly and we've been having a great time playing it together. It lets him fight and figure out the jumps, but when it gets too hard I can move along by myself and it will catch him up automatically. It's a great system for playing with your kid since he used to hate having to hand me his controller when he couldn't do a specific part. After just a day he's already playing a lot of the levels by himself.

A Dissapointment For Any Star Wars Fan
When i heard there was going to be another Star Wars Clone Wars game coming out that didn't have the weird "hack and slash" gameplay of Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber duels, i was pretty excited. But when i started playing the game, i was very dissapointed. For starters, it's not the most challenging title for the 360. It's gameplay doesn't require much effort. Another thing that doesn't really help the game become any more challenging, is that Yoda will pop up throughout the game and tell you what to do. The controls are alright, but multiplayer is a little challenging only because you both share the camera. The graphics are what you would expect from a 360 game, but when Yoda pops up, he appears in a 3rd generation graphic. The game is a little legnthy, but when you actually play it, it is very short. The sound goes back to it's original Star Wars instrumentals with some added rythm to it. The storyline is just horrendous, and you will find yourself doing some of the same things as in the animated movie as well as the tv show. Overall, i give this game a 6* for it's lack of a challenge, okay controls, and a overall bad storyline.

Really Good For Kids...Not So Much For Adults
You can tell that Krome Studios developed SWTCW:Republic Heroes for kids, so if you fall in that category then you'll have a good time...but if your in your teens/adulthood then I would have to say that this game is DEFINATELY NOT for you. So being that I'm an adult I'm going to base this review on that perspective. On to the review... Graphics- I have to admit that this is pretty poor for an Xbox 360 title. Everything in this game looks subpar at best. From the character models to the enviornments, it quite litterally looks like a late generation PS2/ 1st generation Xbox title, and since this is on 360 theres no reason why it should look this "blah". What I find INSANE is that the graphics on SWTCW: Lightsaber Duels for Wii (which was also developed by Krome) looks INSANELY BETTER and ALOT closer to the show then Republic Heroes. Think I'm kidding? Play them both or just compare screenshots...Lightsaber Duels wins HANDS DOWN in the graphics department...AND ITS A WII GAME. Gameplay- Boring for the most part. Depending on which mission is next you'll play as either Jedi's or Clone Troopers and both arent that fun or exciting. When your Jedi its mostly a hack and slash affair and this would have been fine if you had a nice/good amount of combos to unleash but unfortuantley you dont. You just mash on the X button and do the same 2-3 combos throughout the entire game. And force powers? You have force push and...thats about it. What happened to all the force powers??? It also has some pretty troublesome platforming and its due to not having any camera control (very similar to LEGO Star Wars). You'll fall to your death many times becuase you cant properly line up the distance of the jump to the platform. Gameplay as the Clone Troopers is just getting from point A to point B and shoot every droid thats in your way. THATS IT. All in all, I was left very unimpressed. Control- Incredibly easy. X is your slash/shoot button, Y is your force push/bomb button, A is to jump/dive, and LT is your block/crouch button. Doesnt get more complicated then that. Sound/Music- The one area where Star Wars games never really mess up. It has music and effects straight from the TV show as well as the same voice actors portraying their respective roles. Probably the best aspect of the game. Length- You can beat it in about 5-6 hours if your just playing it for fun. If your going for the 1000 points it'll take about a good 10-12 hours. SWTCW:Republic Heroes is a poor game all around. If your a Star Wars nut and are enjoying the TV show I STRONGLY suggest you rent this, as buying it would be a complete waste of your hard earned money.

Great storyline but...
I love the tv show so when i heard about the video game i thought it would be like the "battlefront 3" but it wasnt. the game is way to easy i mean come on infinite respawning wheres the challenge. Its like lego star wars but less challenge quicker levels and less replayablty. >>SPOILER ALERT<< you play on 4 different places with 35 missions in all. On ryloth ahsoka and anakin go to eliminate the remaining droids capt rex gets capture by bane and he is forced to help him bring a gravity weapon. on juma 9 youre on a ship that badly damaged. on what ever the ice planet is called you explore a crash site and on belpour you fight count dooku and kul teska(new guy) >>END OF SPOILER ALERT<< The game is aged for little kids so unless youre a little kid dont buy it.

Its gonna be great
I played the demo released on the xbox 360 and i really enjoyed it. in a way, it reminded me of the star wars battlefront series, just with a few changes. IM going to reserve it and get it no doubt, but if your looking for a game with teamwork, love star wars, etc., i think this is a great start on a new series!

it seems like its going to be decent
ok I seen the family movie clone wars but I havent seen the Tv series im to involved in my games but I read a review of this game and it seems pretty decent a bunch of charaters and being cone troopers and jedi's I think thats pretty sweet takes me back to battle front 2 but more Cartoonish not saying its a bad thing Graphics do look ok and I heard there was some sort of new charater if that gets anybody hyped up I dont know how many charaters are playble but Aniken, and a Clone trooper so far are the only people I seen you play as. I am already hereing its going to be better then Force Unleashed is it really ??? I thought the Force Unleashed was good but this is going to be better Only time well tell I hope it has Multiplayer

Third Person Shooter And Slasher
This game is based on the movie and TV show of the same name. The game is going to be set in between Season1 and Season2.It is going to have OK graphics based on the preview but it's going to be more than a slasher game it's going to be a Third Person Shooter.Slasher games are alright and everyone loves a decent shooter game but this is going to be both. That might be the only reason i get this game.It is going to be released on all next gen console and lets hope the online is good and not just a crappy Steal The Flag.Another thing i hope the graphics don't look like is like the Wii and DS Clone Wars game that came out in October '08.Lets all keep all fingers crossed.
