Spec Ops: The Line
The truth is this is going to be an amazing game. it will have no competition in the Xbox market. i expect to see more for this game at the E3 Gaming Conference on June 7th to June 9th but this game is going to be epic and i cannot wait.
Definitely Recommend for Adults and Military fans!
I played through this game, and let me tell you it was honestly the best single player experience I have ever played through! It has amazing voice acting, great action, amazing set pieces, great visuals, one of the best scrips I have ever heard in a video game, 10/10 graphics, the cut scenes are amazing, the achievements/trophies provide challenge but it's rewarding, but honestly, the game had some of the best character development I have ever seen in a game! Not only through cut scenes, but you actually see your character develop, through his physical appearance(bruises, blood, cuts, uniform and guns are damaged, etc.), but his attitude and how he talks to his squad. At first they're all ready and excited, and make jokes. Then, they start yelling at each other, start fighting, and really are torn apart. Also, your character starts to get angry, almost like a PTSD kind of thing as soon as he kills his first American soldier. Not to spoil too much in the story, but Captain Walker and his two squad mates in the Delta Force in the U.S. Army are deployed to Dubai, India, for a recon mission to see if there are any survivors from the sand storms that have been hitting Dubai. Well, before all the huge sandstorms that wiped out most of the city and its population, an Infantry Division in the U.S. Army, the 33rd moves in to help evacuate, but the sandstorm hits, and the Division is split. One half of the 33rd, the Damned, wants to stay with the Colonel and stay with the civilians, the other half wants to leave, leaving everyone behind. The Division is not only at war with some refugees, but it is at war with itself! The game escalates from there, and you're squad is caught in the crossfire, making you fight not only refugees, but trained U.S. Army soldiers, and eventually, special forces soldiers the government sent to kill you. So as you can guess, throughout the game, the enemies do become more challenging, but you also gain more allies, like soldiers who want to help you, but that's all I will leave it at so I don't spoil any more. My favorite, but honestly the saddest part of the game is your ability to make some tough decisions that actually affect the outcome of the story, and the decisions are either bad, or worse, and affect the ending of the game, causing multiple endings, and let me say, this game gets crazy, it gets so crazy that it makes your mind freak out, haha. The multiplayer is pretty good, but I wouldn't recommend buying it for the multiplayer alone. It is very hardcore, and a lot of people like it because sandstorms randomly hit the map, causing strategy. Another cool feature is that there is A LOT of player customization online, it is unbelievable actually! They also released free, that's right, free DLC for a co-op campaign! It is great! One more cool feature is that you can use sand to your advantage, if there are windows with cracks and sand on it, you shoot it and it falls on your enemies, or if you throw a grenade it kicks up sand, blinding your enemies. When sandstorms interrupt a firefight, I recommend this to any military fan, 3rd person shooter fan, a person who loves great stories, a fun online, and customization, and pretty much anyone else out there, because this game is a definite buy. When I was playing it, I really didn't want the game to end, because it was that good! It is definitely on my favorite list, because this is one of the greatest games I have ever played!
Best Game Ever
out of all shooters i played this is the best. IT BLOWS COD AND BATTLEFIELD OUT OF THE WATER. it dosnt compare to any other game with the amazing story-line and all of the descitions you have to make to save and end lives. i never thought games got this good!!!
Epic story twists
What can I say about spec ops the line? Well I guess you can say I'm a little bias since I immediately thought this game was awesome before even entering the main menu. Why? Well Jimmy Hendrix playing the national anthem was just surprising and awesome at the same time. Menu music just doesnt come any more awesome then that.
Outside that I found the game play pretty fun overall. Kinda like gears of war but not as smooth and polished but still good. The true highlights of this game (besides the epic menu music) is the story and how the game unfolds. I dont wanna spoil anything but play the game out dont judge it right away. Some crazy crazy stuff happens and in the end your just gonna be totally shocked. Trust me nobody and I mean nobody will ever see what happens in this game coming.
The game story is stupid, They didnt but alot of time into the mechanics of the game movement is horrible between cover its like the game wasnt made to be in cover and instead of covering and vaulting being one button its another which when moving from cover to cover its really annoying when you sprint you have so sense of direction movement is very stiff this isnt no gears where you can sprint a direct where you are going to it is releastic for the fact that on the harder difficulties 3 shots will kill you but the enemy ai is extremely accurate and will sometimes shoot through cover, sadly they also made you team of 2 guys basically useless and unable to kill unless you keep telling them to shoot someone had high hopes for this game but was a major let down games arent what they use to be costing a whopping 64.19 for like 5-8 hrs of offline gameplay. if you want a good game buy max payne 3 only good thing about spec ops is there is some good music during firefights
Is Spec ops The Line great for the campaign or online? Well, it's great for both! In the campaign you play as Captain Walker, alongside you are your two partners Adams and Lugo. You come to Dubai looking for survivors of the storm, only to soon find yourself forgetting all of that and going after one man, Konrad. As you make your way through Dubai, you encounter new enemies, and get lost in severe sandstorms! You must fight your way through storms, survivors and the 33rd! On his journey, Walker goes through difficult situations, hard decisions and pain! Eventually making his way to Konrad... the rest is for you to find out!
One heck of an ending
I bet most people were thinking this game was gonna be another Call of Duty ripoff like I thought but no you would be wrong this game is so much better than you would think. The campaign is most amazing probably one of the best endings ever in a videogame. This game plays out in third person like Gears of War or GTA 5 but with the style of Call of Duty or Battlefield. The only thing I have problem with is that in the multiplayer not many people play so it can be tough to find a match at times. But you should get this game it is amazing.
Call it "Army of One"
I like the Army of Two and Gears of War style of gameplay, but just like Ao2,40 the multiplayer is just not necessary. Games should focus more on the story and gameplay than try to compete with the multiplayer big boys, but I guess you have to start somewhere. GoW2 has a massive following online so maybe they can pull it off. I just hope they didn't sacrifice the single-player aspect of the game to try make the multiplayer work.
I've read online, many people think this game won't be good. Stop! Just because it doesn't say "Call of Duty" in the title doesn't mean its going to suck. Im not hating, MW3 is fun at time, so is BF3, but not all games are going to look like that. I appreciate developers taking risks and making things different. If they didn't., all games would be like CoD. As for the pre-order, I'll hold off. I took a risk with RAGE- it was a fun game but not worth 60. Ill check some reviews out before I commit myself
My big brother and I was in a video warehouse store in Statesboro, that's when we saw this game.
I played this game for two days for three hours!
And I beat it, they weren't kidding about the blood and gore though, there's a lot of gore and less blood.
But, that didn't stop me because a I play M games and I'm going to be 13 in November. But don't let any kids play this, or at least 10 or 11 year olds, they might have night mares. But for the teens and grown ups, definitely. Two thumbs up, BUY IT!!
