Very Deep and Dark Story
Spec Ops The Line is a one of a kind. I had my eye on this game since the very first time it was announced, and despite the delays I still pursued this game and was not disappointed in what I found. The setting of this game is what really caught my attention, Dubai is one place where very few gamers have been in a game and was a fantastic opportunity for people to experience the golden sands, dust storms, rich agriculture, and much much more. It begins with your squad planning on rescuing civilians or evacuating them but as you progress through a few enemies your squad picks up a strange repeat of a voice message from a man named Colonel John Konrad. The main character referred to as "Walker" is then dead set on finding and rescuing the Colonel along with his men. Now to discuss the gameplay it is very smooth. I experienced little to no glitches or bugs through my 2 play throughs. Now if you are the type of person who is into gun variety in games Spec Ops has a huge variety varying from AK-47's, M4A1's, SCAR-H's, Micro 9mm, P-90's, Scout Tacticals,AK-74M's,and so many more. As you carry on through the story you start to see how the fighting and war in Dubai is taking a toll on your squad and how their actions towards one another is becoming more harsh and anger filled. That was one of the many things I enjoyed in the game because it shows the realism of what actually happens in war such as PTSD(Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). The graphics are inspiring and completely breath taking which makes the whole experience of the game even more worth while. The golden sands, the palm trees, the eye catching billboards, and even the rich turquoise art inside buildings. In Spec Ops The Line you have choices you can make in certain parts of the game, and believe me when I tell you, you cannot make both choices in each situation and the choices you do make do not affect your ending at all so you have nothing to worry about. The moments in this game where you have no choice at all are what really made me think. One area in the game you had to use a highly illegal and dangerous chemical known as " White Phosphorus" to eliminate what you think to be enemies. As you tread the sand with the enemies you just burned alive laying beneath your feet, you stumble upon refugees and the camera slows as you see a mother holding her child dead as the white phosphorus still burns away their flesh. That is when you think " God, what have I done? Why? Could I have stopped this?" That is just one of many moments in the game where you realize war is not perfect and that the consequences are inevitable, the dark side of war. The game is very achievement giving which I really liked just because it helped boost my gamer score, I have all the achievements except for 2 and those are the campaign difficulty achievements.Another great part of the game are the sandstorms that kick in randomly while you are in extremely heavy firefights which adds to the unpredictable events of war. The story in this game is one of a kind unique and has twists which makes you want to keep playing the game. The multiplayer is very well done with maps, weapons, and classes. The only thing it lacks is server size which was the only thing that bothered me due to the maps being big enough to have at least a few more players. Overall replay value is very high. Spec Ops The Line is a one of a kind third person shooter with a very dark story with an extreme amount of depth and thinking and is one game I will never forget.

Great game. Show a perspective that COD never will
Get this game for the single player game. It is about 13 hours long so its not a long game to play. But it will be one of those games that stay with you when its over. After playing game It made me reflect back to a question I often asked my self from when I was deployed numerous time to Iraq. "Are we really the good guys?" This game takes you through a path of events that show how gray the line of a "Good guy" can be. Game play feels like gears/Mass effect so it adequate to get through the story and this game is about the story. I recommend playing.

Dark. Full of twists. Brilliantly executed.
I purchased this game about a month ago and let me say it has been probably the best 30$ ive ever spent. This game is amazing. Some of the best writing I have seen in a game. This game goes beyond other games in my opinion in terms of story. If you are looking for a shooter, dont buy this game. If you are looking for a brilliantly written story that will keep you on edge and has a satisfying conclusion, buy it right now. Brilliant game. played the game twice. Spent about 12 hours combined both, but this game will stay with me much longer than that.

Short campiagn and bad multiplayer
The campiagn is about five hours long and is too easy. The graphics on the campiagn look good however in the multiplayer it looks bad. I really did enjoy the story and the character development of how they change from the beginning to the end. I didn't enjoy the multiplayer because no one plays, it is4vs4, the maps are big for 4vs4, and it was boring. This game to me is third person shooter of homefront, since both games could have been better with more time developing them. Besides the good short story the other thing I liked is the achievements were easy.

Best thing noone plays
Overall, the gameplay is great, the story is out of this world, but nobody plays this game. I do not understand why. The campaign was amazing and so deep that i cant tell you who the real bad guys were because i am not sure. The multiplayer is really easy except every match has like 2 people in it. If more people played online then this would be better, but overall it is worth the money. Make sure you get it with a friend if you can because you can download 4 free cooperative challenge missions and they were pretty good. Another reason for the friend having it is that maybe you can actually have enough people to 2v2 online.

Has the Greatest Twist in Gaming
Spec Ops: The Line is a very simple game. Three military guys go into a deserted landscape looking for survivors. Soon enough, everybody wants to hunt them down. The game is very challenging and quite frankly, not a ton of fun. The shooting is fairly stiff, animations are poor, and the game gets repetitive after the first two hours. This would be bad, if the game didn't have an incredible story and characters. However, it does. Now, at the beginning of the game, all three of these guys are fairly generic. They are friends, make immature jokes, and are your typical military meat heads. Around the half way mark is when they start to mature. Once something major occurs, they begin to break. They argue, scream, punch each other, and grow sick and tired of one and other. Spec Ops: The Line is a character study, and a very good one at that. You feel like you're in this situation and struggling with them. At the end, the game is a psychological thriller more than a military third person shooter. Overall, Spec Ops is a good game. It is almost great, but falls out of reach. The storyline is great, gameplay is good(but not great) and it is repetitive. I recommend you purchase this if you are into deep, thrillers.

great,amazing game
this game is very fun.it has tons of action, shootouts, the graphics are awesome too.even down to the storyline, which is great.i like how the game was made because of three soldiers on a rescue mission being ambushed by enemies in "dubai",which is pretty cool too, there is alot of sand.overall, awesome game.

singleplayer
I bought this strictly for singleplayer and it is phenomenal! Great story with twists, and many times you think your at the end and it keeps going. The game is about 6 hours, and is just really well put together.

i was really excited to get this game. but i wasn't disappointed, overall it was good. the campaign was a little shorter than i was expecting. there is a lot of blood and gore so if you get disgusted easily this game is not for you. P.S. i recommend this game to any hardcore gamers (=
