Rated 9 out of 10 by Rustybomber79 This game is Awesome!
This game was great. It's a very straight forward game, besides collecting a few gems and a finding health there is not much searching for items, which I love, I hate wasting my time wondering around looking for items. I am casual gamer and by most accounts stink at video games, I didn't have too much trouble getting through this game, there were some hard Boss battles that I had to do over and over, but it never got to the point that I threw my hands up and gave up. I had alot of fun with this game, and am curretly on my 3rd play through. Because of my limited time to play games I hardly ever play through a game twice so for me the replay vaule was high. The music, sound, and voice acting was really good and did not clash or take away any from the game. I found the banter between Garcia (the hero) and Johnson ( the side kick) to be pretty funny and entertaining. I'm not one to really care about graphics, so can't really comment on that. I loved this game, and think everyone should play it!
Rated 8 out of 10 by mynicknameshallbetheonewh Playing an amazing movie
This is an amazing game. It has one of the best stories I've seen in a video game, ever. The script for the game could easily be a grindhouse movie, but instead of a movie it's you playing the main character through his journey into [the underworld] to save his girlfriend.(This game is a redemption for [bad] Dante's Inferno) The game play isn't revolutionary in any aspects, puzzles combat, etc. but the way they present it is absolutely amazing. Like a 10 hour movie though it doesn't have much replay value. It's more of a one and done deal, but your time with the game will not disappoint in the least. This game is definitely worth playing, but on terms of buying I don't see any need for owning this game. A rent is probably your best bet since the game is probably only taking you 10-12 hours to complete. Overall and absolutely amazing game that I would love to see more of in the future of games.
Rated 0 out of 10 by NeighborhoodGamer You Have TO GET THIS GAME!
So let me tell you about the producers of this game. One man's name is Shinji Mikami and he created a little series called Resident Evil. He was the biggest man behind Resident Evil 4 (One of the best Resident Evil games) and developed the over the shoulder peripheral for Resident Evil. The other man's name is Suda51 and he is one of the best creators of horror games, sure he created No More Heroes (which isnt horror but is pretty fun), but come back after you see Killer 7, you will literally go crazy playing that game. And if this was not enough, the soundtrack master behind this game is the soundtrack master for the Silent Hill series, its a little horror game franchise if you lived under a rock up until now. So there is absolutely NO EXCUSE IF YOU ARE A FAN OF HORROR GAMES, better yet, THERE IS NO EXCUSE IF YOU ARE A FAN OF GAMES IN GENERAL. GET IT, i wont be regretting it and so wont you!

I will be honest i was extremely skeptical about this game i was not sure if it would have that 60 dollar feel to it but i have to admit i was extremely wrong. This game feels like a breath of fresh while still feeling like the games most people have played. the game play feels extremely similar to games like resident evil or dead space but the atmosphere of the game is extremely different. the graphics and art design are extremely well done, really bringing to life Suda 51's version of the underworld. the only real complaint i have is the lack of a new game + option however this is not a huge issue as there is always achievement hunting as well as a harder difficulty setting. overall i would recommend this game to any gamer who is looking for a game that is fresh and new as well as an experience or "Road Trip" that you will not soon forget
Rated 10 out of 10 by Failed A good example of what video games should be
This game is simply amazing in just about every way imaginable. I hate how just about every game made these days are overused ideas that continue to ruin the video game industry, game by game. But this game, it breaks away from the age of overused, boring video games. This game has an amazing storyline that grasped me like a hook. I couldn't put that controller down until I reached that sweet credit screen. You also had to love how they somehow mixed a survival horror with bits of sick, edgy comedy that kept you rolling on the floor with laughter. I always chuckle a bit when Garcia yells "Taste my big b0ner!". I also couldn't help but to recognize the unique weapon selection that's available to you throughout the game. Those creepy bosses will also keep you white knuckled. Overall, 10/10.
Rated 7 out of 10 by LethalSmokey not as great as everyone says
the game was ok the graphics were alright boss battles very easy. in this game you seem to be doing the same thing over and over running around in some ghetto as town with some pretty cool guns well more like at the end of the game the guns are cool they suck at begining, in the game you just run naround doing the same thing over and over, seems to me to be repeative but in a diffrent backround. the story was ok i mean how many times are you going to run after your girl and fall into a trap dont you think dude would have relised it after the first time when she turns into a demon, come on, this game coulod have been so much better deff has the patential to becom,e a great game its almost like they just gave up on it and said this will do who cares lets just put it out there and see were it goes

Solid 8+game. This one is a unique journey through a hellish landscape littered with adult humor(often so much so it seems childish) intense action and a great atmosphere.
Its not particularly long, and replay is limited to doing different difficulties(no stacking completion achievements) but when you do play especially for that first time you will not forget your experience. Don't let the few hiccups get in the way of this extremely fun and satisfying game. This game is mash up of all the great games it's creators have made and one thing in particular stands out, Akira Yamaoka's sound. Music and sound is great, and while the voice work is great(don't try to read their lips directly) each character get their individuality for sure.
Rated 10 out of 10 by gamer202 Shadows Of The Damned
I must say shadows of the damned is one of the best looking games i have ever seen on a game. the gameplay is fantastic, it is like real life! it will really get your blood pumping and keep you on the edge of your chair for hours on end! the sound is amazing, every gun shot noise is totally different, and akira yamaoka was amazing, he really put some great songs in it! and the graphics are a total masterpiece! you can see every little detail in every part in the game like his jacket for instence, it is full of detail and when you get a head shot on a demond it shows every thing in slow motion and shows wat the insid of a demond head really looks like and may i say its really gory! and you will nevver want to put the controller down! MUST BUY!
Rated 8 out of 10 by frenzy1 It's alright
I just got the game today. I am really just trying to find something to play while I wait for skyrim. The graphics are bearable, and the game play does seem a bit repetitive. But I can tell that this game will be short. I am not saying to buy this game or not. All I am saying is if you want a game that will keep you busy for a little while then go ahead rent or buy. The weapons are cool, and killing the demons are fun. But my opinion will have to be on both sides. I like the game and I don't. It's just not one of those games were you must buy it. Just try it out if you like it buy it if not return it.
Rated 0 out of 10 by SS22 HIGH HOPES!!!
As i know from trailers and screenshots you play in Over the shoulder like RE4, RE5, Dead Space ect. Re4 was the first and greatest horror game that pulled that off. And with demonic looking enemies and monsters i have very high hopes for this horror game! great soundtrack from the silent hill series and produced by resident evils producer. Hopefully this will be a badass horror game and will finally be a horror game to prove me wrong that games these days cant scare me. And i hope it fixes the over the shoulder genre after RE5 pretty much ruined it with no horror but non stop action....not a horror game in my book
