Rockstar Games Table Tennis
A Little Too Much Backspin
Being a huge fan of table tennis myself, I didn't see how I could go wrong with a table tennis game for $1.99. I played the game off and on for about a week and didn't find it very entertaining. The difficulty settings are little extreme, the gameplay isn't very exciting, and unlockables are not really worth all of the trouble that you have to go through to get them. Not trying to call out the realism of the game but the counter-spin moves used in the game are reversed from the way they are in real table tennis, but again that doesn't really matter as far as the game is concerned, but I was looking for a realistic experience to match the real thing. In short I wouldn't recommend this game for anyone looking to be entertained for any length of time, but it may serve as a good family game on easy.
Worth Three Dollars
I was kind of skeptical about buying a table tennis game, but for three dollars I thought I would try it. This game is definitley worth three dollars. The graphics are great and the gameplay is exceptional. The game is very realistic, it includes training sessions and tournaments. If you are looking for a fun game for under five dollars than definitley get this one.
the best game i ever played just awesome
i just came fro picking up this game the first time i played it it just got me suprise it very incredible
Was sketchy at first
but this game swayed me, played the demo and thought it was too easy..boy was I wrong. Amazing game hands down took me by surprise and for $2 it's a win win situation
this is one of the best ping pong games on the market today. its really fun and it makes you feel like you are really in the game.
Neat Little Sports Title
This was my first game for the Xbox 360, and I must admit it surprised me with how well it played.
The controls are extremely simple to pick up and play, but mastery will take you a long time. I loved the challenge. Computer opponents would keep you alert and focused on returning the serves. Don't be surprised to see your rallies go past 100.
The graphics are still good, but for their time, they were better. Even the music and noise work and are both pleasant to listen to.
This may not be a Madden or a FIFA title, but as far as sports games go, Rockstar Games Table Tennis can certainly compete.
I bought this game last year and I can't believe how incredible it is. At first, I didn't think Rockstar could pull off a good family game what with having GTA under their belt, but how wrong I was! Table Tennis introduces stunning graphics that all games should have; realistic movement - when your character moves, their clothes move as well just as realistically as it should. Amazing real life physics and great AI keeps you playing for hours. I'm not one for sports games or games other than action, shooting, or fighting but I made an exception and had a go at this and I was not in the least disappointed. In fact, it makes me wonder what I've been missing out on by not playing other sports and recreational games. Table Tennis is definitely a game worth trying. If you don't want to buy it, at least rent it or borrow it from a friend who has it. You won't be disappointed!
Oh my, I thought this would only make sense on the Wii, obviously due to the motion sensing gimmick. But man this game is addicting. You would think that something as simple as ping pong, would get old but it doesn't. The gameplay is very fast-paced. Oh and the sound, the sound is some of the best I have ever heard. Everything is in sync. The crowd sounds amazing and the patter of the ball on the table is spot on. The character models are simply incredible for a 2006 game. While the premise is very simple, it carries very well without feeling worn thin. Now while there are some features missing, this is an overall very good game. And for ** bucks this is a steal. Personally this is one of my favorite games, and i play it faithfully. Please don't pass this up, no matter what doubts you may have.
