Robert Ludlum's: The Bourne Conspiracy
This Is A Alsome Game
This Is You Wonderful Hardcore Combat Agent Game Ever
As a rabid fan of the Bourne movies, I picked this game up to really experience the Bourne action. Unfortunately, Matt Damon was replaced with some newbie no one has ever heard of. He still is un-killable, has perfect aim, and can kill men twice his size, but always kills them the exact same way every time. You can use a few different weapons, Use different takedowns, and destroy the environment, but with an unfulfilling way. I don't feel the thrill of shooting someone in the head, or mashing their face on the wall. The boss fights are long and repetitive, and usually don't have any high points. Punch, Block, Repeat. Thats about how the entire game goes. All the fights are repeated over and over again, just in different environments. The graphics are above average, but the character models look stiff and control funny. I wouldn't recommend this to big Rainbow 6 Vegas fans, as it takes that idea, crushes it, and scatters it across the Bourne movies in a terrible representation.
Great action but not long
When i got this game i wasn't expecting too much and i was happy with my purchase. Since i already have a mixture of games from COD 4 and Halo 3 to Madden 08 and NHL 09 to Civilization and Viva Pinata i wanted something different. Bourne is a great fighting game when i first played it i thought the takedowns that bourne did were really cool because he would improvise with what was around him to kill the enemy. The shooting aspect of the game was good but nothing special. The storyline progressed like the movies. Some of the levels are scenes from the movies. When there is something crazy you have to do you have to click the button that appear on the screen. The graphics are good but one thing that disappointed me as a fan of the movies is that the Bourne character you play as doesn't look like Matt Damon which i didn't really like. I guess if you want to expand your gaming library then you should get this but if you want a secret agent game you should get Assassins Creed or Splinter Cell and if you want a shooter you should get Rainbow Six or COD.
Modern version of a Hack n Slash POS
Basically all you do in this game is get shot at by impossible numbers of enemies that materialize out of nowhere, get into fist fights with impossible numbers of enemies that come out of nowhere, and run & gun CONSTANTLY. There is nothing else to this game. It is by far the most monotonous 360 game I have ever played. Even for the die-hard Bourne fan there is no excitement in this game. You follow a rigid path with very very little exploration possibility, fight with extremely poor control, aim your gun about as fast and accurately as a 7 year old who's never held a firearm, and get to look for passports. Whoopty do. Decent graphics and a loose story line do nothing to enhance the game play on this one. I highly recommend you avoid this game at all costs. I am headed back to the store where I purchased this used (thank the lord I didn't pay full price) to turn it in for something more fun... Like Wreckless for the original xbox (Yes, this game is that bad)
I really think THE BOURNE CONSPIRACY was a good game, although I thought it did have a few problems: first of all,it was pretty short. It only took me about one week to complete the entire game ( I am eight years old and really good at beating video games in a short amount of time). Secondly, I thought the sound could be better (audio). I couldn't really hear any of the game (aside from all of the curse words). The game does have great graphics. I was a little disappointed that the Jason Bourne represented in the game, looked nothing like Matt Damon. The weirdest part of the game was the car chase, but it was very fun. There were too many cops in my opinion. I loved all of the skull crushing, bone breaking, crotch kicking, and all of the other ways to torture your idiotic enemies. This was a good game and I think that people who like action games will enjoy this one.
Great hand to hand and shooting make up for glitchy images and sometimes touchy controls
I am going to make this short. The Bourne Conspiracy is an excellent game. Bourne fanatics like me should not let this title pass. The hand to hand is great fun and though the shooting takes some time to get used to, it is still good. I have not gotten to the dreaded driving scenes yet, so I will not comment on that aspect of the game. The story is great, but you must have at least scene the Identity to understand parts of it. For the best experience, the entire series should be viewed before playing. I have one or two problems with the game. First, I have encountered one major glitch in the game play. When Bourne is not moving, he tends to fade into the background and then totally disappears. When you stand up, you see an odd outline of Bourne. It is more annoying than anything. Another problem I have is with the shooting mechanic. Unless you make a head shot, your target will not react. I shot a guy in the chest maybe seven times before he finally fell. Do not get me wrong, I love this game. I strongly suggest purchasing it.
One of the best!!!
This is an awesome game!!! The graphics are really good and the tasks you have to do are really cool. When I first played this game I was totally shocked at how good everything was about this game. I do wish that the story was a little longer, but I don't think they could add anything else into the game. You are able to do about everything, and my favorite part is playing the assassination levels, very cool. You just don't kill the guy and that's it, you have to get out of there and fast. The driving part is really fun to, but it took me a little to get use to it. There are a huge variety of guns, but my favorite is the handgun. If you keep the crosshairs at head level of your enemies at all times, you can easily take down everyone. I think this is an awesome game and would highly recommend.
Awesome Movie... Better Game!
This game was better than i would have ever imagined. i am a huge fan of the thrilling bourne series, and the game blew me away. there was but 1 fault though, it was short. if this game was a more lasting game, i have no doubt it could win some awards! you take the role of jason bourne, a man with no remembrance of his past.(in fact, he doesn't remember the first level of the game!) you also get to relive his flashbacks, in which come randomly to his surprise. with the amazing fighting skill of jason, this game is the total opposite of a let-down. the controls are easy, though any game's controls could be changed for the better due to the player. the bourne conspiracy is not in first person, but the gun scenes are still definitely playable. if you've ever seen the movie, or know who john woo is, you know about the birds. in gameplay, you will hear some birds coo. this means that something is about to go down. a definite must have game!
exciting, but worth it?
Now I've seen all of the trailers and makings for this game because I was so hyped up for it, me being the huge Bourne fan that I am. Once I found out there was a demo out on Xbox Live, I immediately downloaded it and found myself somewhat disappointed with the game. The hand-to-hand combat is spectacular though, but to enter into a fight you have to run up to a guy then it goes into a cinematic mini fight, then you begin fighting. It's strange. That's what really bummed me out, what if they're shooting at me and all I have is my hands, now I have to go charge at them with nothing but flesh and fist? What's up with that guys? There is the famous driving scene in this game too, with a brand spanking new Mini Cooper, unlike the movies... And also, Matt Damon isn't even in this game, which SUCKS! What I read was that he doesn't agree with the violence in a lot of video games anymore so thats why. All-in-all, this game is average. I'll still buy it when it comes out, I just hope an early return to Gamestop isn't in the near future for this game.
i bought this game on the second day that it was released in stores. when i first started playing it wasn't bad. but as it went on i saw that it horrible. Jason Bourne looks way more like Drake from Drake's Fortune then Matt Damon. the graphics are good, for sure. the controls were crap. the sounds on the guns and everything weren't good at all. but i did like how the take down system worked. the storyline in the movies were good, but they changed it around to much in the game. it was one of the shortest games ive ever seen. someone i know beat it in 4 hours and hes not even a great gamer.the hand to hand fighting was well made, but the guns were terrible. when it got to a part with guns, i was thinking: oh nice, now i get to use guns. but they were terrible if you hit them in general torso area, it would take up to five shots to kill them. it the head it was usually one hit, one kill. but sometimes if your hit them right in the head it takes two or even three shots. if your want, you can buy it, but id recomend that you rent it before you buy it.
