Rise of nightmares is completely different from any other kinect game. You actually use your whole body in rise of nightmare. You freely explore. There is no limit on what you can do in this game. WARNING: this game is not for kids. Enjoy :)

Great idea, not for kinect.
I love the game. It's got a great story line to it, and you get immersed in it from the very beginning. The only problem, is the controls. It's hard to walk, and do the actions. Great idea, but would have been better with a controller.

Not bad
First the pros: I loves the faces of the zombies, and they had some fun weapons(Chainsaw, Ice Saw). The story wasn't that great but it was fun(like watching an old school horror movie that charms you). I also love that fact that 360 made a Kinect survival horror game. Great game to play with your friends on a "hang out night".
Now the Cons: The game play can get frustrating. The attacks are very basic, and seem delayed. However, if you hunch a little and swing your right arm back and forth in a rhythmic motion you can dominate. I also found it annoying the way the zombie moved( they had a swagger that seemed like they were feeling themselves up:)).
Even though I don't rate very high, I still believe that it's worth playing and glad it was developed.

Not a very good game!
It's hard to move, trying to hit zombies is impossible, and your screen moves around to much. It's not that bad though.

Definitely worth the money!
I absolutely LOVE this game! It is pretty short, but it still is very fun. Sometimes, you even get scared which makes it more fun. I definitely recommend this game. I'm hoping they make a part 2!

Great Kinect Game but it comes with Glitches
I've been looking at buying Rise of Nightmare since I first bought my Kinect for my 360 and like a lot of hardcore gamers I judged Rise of Nightmare by it's cover. I recommend those of you who can stand playing Kinect and love the Retro feel of games like House of the Dead THIS GAME IS FOR YOU! This game has moment in a horror game that are hard to come by anymore but I picked up this game at my local gamestop (last copy on the self). I put it in and I played for 3hrs straight with taking minimal amount of break time. Although there are Glitches in the Controls, but as long as you have the 10ft "Best" amount of room in your play space this game responsed well and the semi-natural feel to the kinect controls are great. Also this game is the only game I've come across that doesn't hold your hand 95% of the time like most Kinect games do when telling you what to do, Most of the controls work well as long as your semi-smart and passed the 6th grade then you should have no problem. Great Game for Kinect Lovers and Horror fans who want a small workout.

i love this game its sooo fun to play and is an amazing work out and its good for your abs haha and it's soo funny to watch someone play this.

SCARES YOU RIGHT OUT OF YOUR KINECT SPACE
One of the most frightening games i have ever played. its scary good. My two faults are the walking and the blood. The walking is bad you should be able to walk normal but you have to keep one foot out and to back up one foot back, not the best feature. The playstation had better blood graphics then this game. all in all great game though

Excellent Game!
I love this game! There are so many dance and kiddy games for Kinect, and they FINALLY have one geared more for adults! It is fun to play, because it feels like you are really in the game hacking away at your enemies. A lot of bloody scenes, and I had a few that made me jump. Well done :)

Freaking Awsome
In a game market flooded with dance, workout and cheesy kid games we finally get an awsome adult game filled with blood and gore. You fight your way through zombies and undead to save your wife. The controls for this are really great and the kinects tracks almost perfectly. Step foward and you move foward, step back and you walk back. The bigger you step the faster you walk. Turn you shoulders side to side to look around. Put up your dukes and get ready to fight. Punch, swing weapons, and open doors like you would in real life, the kinects tracks it all just right. The graphics are really great and so is the gameplay. It starts off a little slow in the beginning but this gives you some time to get used to the controlls and moving around. Once you're into the game you won't want to turn it off. One great feature of the game is autowalk. If you get turned around or are just feeling a little lazy hold your arm up and you will automatically walk where you need to go. I really can't say enough good thiings about this game I love it and would recommend it to anyone.
