by TheRealNemesis One of the best Resident Evils I've ever played!
To most RE fans wanting that action packed game based in the Resident Evil universe look no further then Operation Raccoon City. the game poses great mechanics that those battlefield and Call of Duty fans would like along with great characters and greatly detailed environments. Even though the games AI were horrific the day of the release from walking strait into enemy fire or right up to a tyrant and the enemy AI not even noticing you right next to them these flaw in the beginning seem to be dissipating since the release. The creature AI has been extremely tough because the Hunters dont run away as much and keep laying down the pain to the zombie attacking head on and trough doors not wondering to the sides in complete ignorance of you. All in all despite its bad ratings by other critics I believe that this is a great game for gamers out there just praying for an action packed RE game and a decent multi-player with more DLC on the way.

Leon will only die if you kill him! If you keep him alive, everything is normal. But if he dies, the world ends because of Las Plagas! I think he'll put up a fight but I'll kill him just to see what happens!

by BillyBoi76 Not a typical RE game
It sickens me to see gamers and critics give this game a bad review only because it doesn't follow the resident evil formula. This game is a solid squad based shooter, its not a perfect 10 but its a great game. The game could be improved in a few areas, but this game does not deserve a 6 of 10 rating. I'd rate it at 8-8.5 nuff said!!!

Rated 8 out of 10 by Lavos99z Despite what people may say...
...this game is actually not that bad. It's more for the open minded people who aren't too butthurt about the gameplay style being VERY different from past titles. I have played Resident Evil 4 and 5, but not the older ones, so maybe I don't really know too much (other than that organizing items in the older games was a PAIN). This game is very Gears-esque, or at least the feel of it was, and I'm not a huge fan of Gears of War (the third installment's ending disappointed me), but I like that style in this game. I liked the little things like killing teammates when they became infected, or even panicking when I happened to get infected and started looking everywhere for some antiviral spray. The thing that irks me about the game is the fact that it doesn't...have good replay value. I can't force myself to go back and replay it, the story is too short and just not fulfilling enough. The way things ended was also...weird. Still, a very solid game that deserves better than a 6 out of 10.
Rated 4 out of 10 by Nier This game needs a sequel!!!
This game has some nice ideas but thanks to bad gameplay hurts the overall package of this game. You play as "WolfPack" a six man squad tasked to destroy any of Umbrella involvement with zombie outbreak in raccoon city. The graphics for this game is decent but not remarkable and sound effects do their job and soundtrack is forgettable. The characters in these game doesn't change much that includes wolf pack members everyone is a one note character but I like Vector the best because of cloaking ability. You'll need ability because the AI is really cheap and unfair. This game doesn't have any local co-op and picking ammo, guns and reviving dead teammates are all mapped to the "A" button which in a middle of a gun fight can get you killed. The game is very short and only replay value going through all the levels with friends to S ranks and play the online multi-player but lobbies are all dead. To bad we won't get to see a sequel to this game.
Rated 8 out of 10 by ninetoes65 Pleasantly Surprised
A friend of mine recommended this game to me when it first came out, but then I gave in to all of the negative comments floating around about it. So, I waited. With a bit of trepidation, I popped the game into the console and saw the initial screen come up. First surprise, it looks good! Then I got a feel for the character selection. Second surprise, flexibility on your character types. The third surprise was in the gameplay, excellent gameplay, dark atmospherics, and a feel of a Resident Evil game. Before I knew it, I was three hours into the game and my heart was pounding from my last mission. Do not give in to the naysayers. Judge for yourself. This will be the best 5 bucks you spend.

I have played every resident evil game and right now I'm starting from the beginning and playing them all again. my favorite ones are resident evil 2 and resident evil 4 and 1&3 are still amazing games that i will always play. but resident evil five (no rhyme intended) took a dive and almost made not want to revisit the series. now I'm not saying it isn't a good game just that it didn't seem to fit with the others. i say this not because of story but the game itself. to put it simply it was far to easy and not scary in the slightest. i say this because there was ammo practically spilling out of your ears and you could upgrade your weapons so fast you could have infinite ammo in no time. the bonus content (like the game filters and costumes) i liked but it was still far to easy and not as challenging. i hope this one will be better and more to its roots because if its not I'm going to lose all faith that anything they make from now on is worth while at all. i love this series and would hate to see it go down the drain.
