Rainbow Six : Vegas 2
Endless hours of playtime
My friend and I both got xboxs for christmas last year. He got this game and I got halo 3. We hung out for all of our christmas vacation and spent almost all of our time playing this game. It offers a wide variety of weapons and armor which are all purchasable in the pre-game load-out menu. You can chose what Primary weapon you want to use, what secondary you want to use, and what sort of equipment and armor you would like for the misson.
But besides the campaign there is a game mode named Terrorist Hunt. (This game mode can be played in Multiplayer or solo.) This game type puts you in the map you chose with the difficulty you want and a boatload of terrorist. The point of the game is to eliminate all terrorist before they can eliminate you. (This is the game type that my friend and I spent all of our time on.)
Overall I think this game earns a 10/10. It delivers non-stop action and has heart pumping moments where your in game life hangs on the line of the decisions you decide to make.
This game is not really a big improvement over the first one, but the first one was so good that even slight improvements make this a good game. The customization hasn't changed a whole lot (not like there wasn't enough in the first one), but now you can use your customized character in any game mode. Another good addition to the game is you can now be promoted offline and although the story isn't very good it's fun to play on co-op. The single player isn't the best ever, and im not a fan of the terrorist hunt, but the online multiplayer is really fun. Team Leader is one of the best game modes in any shooter (in my opinion), but i think they ruined the ranked team deathmatch matches not giving you the option of how many respawns you want forcing you to only get 1 i never play ranked matches b/c of that, but player matches are still fun. The only complaint i still have is the maps aren't very good, but there are still a few good ones. The game is still one of the best on the 360.
doesnt beat the first, but comes close
If you liked the first one then you'll probably love this one too. The controls have been tweaked slightly but aren’t hard to get use to at all. I personally like the first games multiplayer better than this one, but that’s not saying that it’s bad, it’s still very enjoyable. The best part about the game is just that it brings some sense to the first games horrible cliffhanger ending. The ability to sprint is pretty cool I suppose and it comes in handy sometimes but hardly. Still a cool feature though, I enjoy it. The weapons are awesome, though it is a bit tougher to get the good ones than I wish it were. I’m not a very big fan of the new ACES system but I'm not going to complain about it either. its just another thing thrown on to the game but you do get some sense of accomplishment when you kill an enemy and a sign pops on the screen saying you've gained one marksmanship/assault/cqb level. All in all it’s a good game for anyone who likes shooters or liked the first Vegas.
Ranibow six is the best game
I have cod4, saints row 2, gears of war two, and rainbow six. Rainbow six is the best. I am going to talk about the positives and the negatives. The positives: 1 - Terrorist hunt is very fun. It is also challenging. 2 - Rainbow six has a lot of weapons they have handguns, shotguns, snipers, assault rifles, and machine guns. So that is fun. 3 - It has amazing sound if you shoot glass it really sounds like you broke glass. When you open a door it really sounds like you're opening a door. 4 - It is very realistic. You could hear terrorist talk about random stuff. If you shoot a wood door it breaks. If you shoot a terrorist all blood comes out. 5 - you dont have to wait long to join a match or terrorist hunt. Negatives: 1 - The storyline could be a bit longer. You only play like 15 levels. 2 - This game dont have a lot of negatives but here is the second and last one sometimes the game gets a bit laggy.Other than those two minor errors rainbow six is the best game I have played
Wow, what can I say...
Wow, this game is just amazing. I rented it about a month ago, and I thought that I would get bored with it (Since I completed story already and almost unlocked everything and thought that the ranks would just be too hard) but now i'm missing it more and more. Now, the story is a little bit too short for me (I beat it in about an hour or two) but it was really fun with very contravercial moments. I love the terrorist hunt online part, I can play days of it on end, i just can't get enough of it. Right now I wish that I would have bought this game instead of Halo 3 when I bought CoD 4 (which I love also), Halo 3 and Nascar 09, and now I can't return Halo 3 because it's been too long (I'm pretty sure it was a week that you have to return it and a month if it stops working.) Well whatever, i'm missing this game more and more and I wish I had the money to go out and buy it, but I'm stuck to renting it at the moment. Overall, great game and i'm going to have to find a way to get enough money to buy it :).
my favorite game
Rainbow Six Vegas (the first one) was my first XBox 360 game, and last summer i played online nonstop. Now Vegas 2 is out, and I love it even more. It has a great single-player and online play. In single player, you follow the storyline where Rainbow Six Vegas left off. After being helplessly confused about what was going on in the COD4 storyline, it was refreshing to finish what I started in Vegas 1 and to have teammates that actually did something and killed people (although they are stubborn sometimes). All of the NPC's are excellent in Vegas 2. And of course, the online gaming is good. As a matter of fact, it's the most realistic thing I've ever played. I like it alot better than COD4 because you can customize your character down to their facial hair, have a silencer and Acog scope at the same time, choose your rate of fire, open doors, rappel, and a bullet to the face actually kills someone. So, if you have to choose between COD4 and Vegas 2, definitely get Vegas 2.
I remember the first time i played rainbow six...i sucked....it took time and skill to master this game...unlike the joke that is COD4....all of my friends would gather at my buddies house to play this game from the time we got off work to the next day 5 minuts before we had to be back at work....if this game is anything like the first it will be the best game ever made....in rainbow you used teamwork and timing to beat the other team online...and you actually used guns to do it...teamates would actually say were they saw an enemy and how many there were in that area....in COD4 people do whatever they want wonder off in a direction they dont need to be and never mention when an enemy is around and you have 6 people throwing three gernades all in the same direction as soon as the levels start...its getting boring and the people are jerks...you getb a bad rep from someone if you kill them to many times or win a round....i cant wait for rainbow to overthrow COD4
The sequel is a great game, but it still doesn't match the first Vegas.
Don't get me wrong, this game is truly great and is definitely something I would recommend to people who like shooters, but compared to the first game, it just doesn't match up. There are several new additions that I really like, there are some I don't like, and there are some flaws that haven't been fixed that disappoint me. Additions I really like: 1) the new weapons. You can't go wrong with the M468, the FNC, the Tactical 500, and the Arctic Warfare. I use these weapons frequently and they are all spectacular. 2) ACES. I really like that you get points for doing certain things. The points system usually works pretty well and the EXP awards and weapons are well distributed between CQB, Marksman, and Assault. 3) The new maps. Some of the new maps are a bit hit and miss, but I love Villa, and Murdertown. These maps are great. 4) Improved AI. No matter what anyone else says, the AI can really beat you up, especially on Realistic. The snipers and terrorists with shields are really hard to get. Your teammates in story mode are much better now, but once every blue moon, one will stand out in the open and get shot down, but otherwise, I'm really impressed by the AI this time around. 5) The improved graphics. I was really shocked when IGN said that the graphics were hit and miss. I usually play it on a 20 inch TV and it is still beautiful. I'm not really sure where IGN got that from. I played it on the 42 inch downstairs on 1080i, and it was breath-taking. Other things that I like, but can't really be classified as additions: 1) Bringing back Streets and Kill House. These two maps were two of the best maps in the first game and I like that they added a 3rd floor on the right and left buildings in Streets. There are also some small improvements on Kill House, too. 2) Being able to finish off the story co-op or solo or switching between both. In the first game co-op story and solo story was 2 different entities, although the storyline was the same. So, if you were to do bits and pieces of the story in co-op and the rest and in solo, you wouldn't get the achievement of beating the story. That is no more. Additions that I dislike: 1) ACES. I do really like the points system, but I think that it needs to be tweaked a bit. Marksman and CQB are very easy to gain points in, but Assault is slightly more difficult to gain points in, especially if you play games without explosives. Otherwise, ACES is pretty solid. 2) The "Spawn Shield". If you are playing with respawns, you will have something called a "spawn shield" for about 3-5 seconds when you respawn, so that you won't be instantly killed by enemies that sit in your base. I find that the 3-5 seconds is an insufficient amount of time, because will wait and hide in corners for several seconds and then take you down. I think that they need to make it at least 8-10 seconds or make it possible to spawn outside of your spawn and away from danger. 3) Dying quicker. In this game, you die much quicker than in the first game. This takes a while to get used to, but after a while, it's no problem. 4) The ending. The ending is really good, but it ends a bit abruptly. I expected that the last scene would be a bit harder, but it was still pretty good. Flaws and Glitches that I have found in the first game and should have been fixed: 1) Sniper Rifles. For some reason, sniper rifles can be really hit or miss. I use the Arctic Warfare a lot and I notice that it can sometimes be up to 3 feet off target (same with any other sniper rifle from R6V and this game). Being that it is the best sniper rifle in the game, at most, it should be maybe 2 inches off. Also, in games that have even the slightest lag, sniper rifles may take 2 or 3 shots to the head to kill an enemy. This is unacceptable. No matter how far away the enemy is, a sniper round in the upper torso should instantly kill someone in this game. Not 2 or 3, because by then, the enemy should have killed you. Lastly, I found glitch whe
This game is awesome
This game is awesome. They added a level up system in campaign mode which I find to be very very cool. The armor and cammo and weapons are all very fun and great looking and the story is quite intriguing for an FPS title. I recommend this to anyone with a sense of fun and excitement in a game that delivers from beginning to end. I haven't beat it yet, but I'm also playing on realistic, so I can get my money's worth unlike many others that set it to easy and run through it in 4 hours and complain about how short it was. RSV2 is a very worthy title to have in your arsenal of gaming warfare. However, the graphics aren't as good as the first but nothing to really complain about, your teammates sometimes get in the way and that's about it. 9/10 B+ for me. This is a very fun and cool game and the online is quite favorable, do yourself a favor and buy this game, you will enjoy the challenge, just remember, put it on realistic to get your money's worth.
I know a lot of you are mad that this game is to much of the same thing, but is that really a bad thing? I say its not cause this game is just as good as the first installment. to start off i would say that the graphics on the character models and the online portion are much better than in the first game. I aslo like the new system that not only allows you to level up in the multi-player but in single player games as well. plus the aces system is a cool new way to unlock weapons depending on the style of your play. the downside in my opinion is that the developer didn't put all the armor combinations that where in the first game into the new one, but the better graphics and better leveling system makes up for that. one more thing i didn't like was the co-op was knocked down to two players and even though the videos are in the co-op your second player really isn't a part of the story. these little things aren't really a big deal and don't really take away from the fun the game offers. in my opinion this is a good game all around
