by BoygamerEthan PGR4 is a cool, off the charts racing game.
Project Gotham Racing is probably the most fun, addictive game I've ever played. It has a career where you just race other people and win awards. There is an awesome arcade mode which is kind of the same thing.Last, there is a street mode where you choose the weather, choose how many laps, choose the city and track, and choose the number of opponents.Oh,and of course choose your car.It has realistic scenes but it is also mixed with fantasy in so many ways. The thing that stands out the most is that there are cars racing motorcycles. The thing that has to be realistic about that when they are on the track together, motorcycles crash when running into things. That is the only thing I can think of right now.If you have the game,or getting it i hope you enjoy.

IF YOU FIND THIS GAME, BUY IT - I bought it a while back for only $6.99 and it is still one of the greatest game purchases I have ever made. It's great if you're looking for a game on a budget. This game satisfies its price and then some. The graphics are amazingly well done and rendered and incredibly realistic. You can look around the cockpit of the cars as well. The fact that this game also has motorcycles is also a great added bonus. The weather conditions are perfect and work with the gameplay very well. This installment is much easier than the earlier ones, but doesn't lose the great feel of it. It plays like a game between arcade and simulator. You can take photos, walk around a car gallery that also shows your trophies in exotic environments and garages. The soundtrack can be tweaked any way you want. Cars and bikes drive very realistically as well, plus there's a great variety, and the DLC's are a great add on too, FREE to 80 MS points. This game is fantastic, and a must have for any racer.

If your a beginner then this game rocks but for anyone who has anymore skill than that I would move on. This game is simply not worth it. What gets it for me is that the racing experience is simply not free enough. I wanna drive how I wanna drive and though the game does not have as much control over that as does FM2 and 3 it still dictates many aspects. In the real world of racing we are not qualifying through cones or how we turn a corner (with exception maybe in drifting) but for the real honest road racing this isn't it. The cars were more free than FM3 but I would prefer FM3 over this and I still hate that game. I hear people say FM3 is the real McCoy but trust in a real racecar I have the choice how I hit the corner not the computer and though this game is a bit better in that department than FM 2 or 3, the computer is still making the final decision. Can a real driving experience please step forward and offer real competition to FM3. Real drivers stay away drom this it's just not worth it even for free.

This is a game that should be in ANY racing fans library. I'm writing this a few short weeks before Forza 4 comes out. PGR4 has been out for a very, very long time and I just bought it again recently after giving it up a few years ago. Own This Game. I used to sing about the graphics of this game and nobody really listened- this was a sleeper hit. Now that I've seen every racer out there- on every system, I can STILL say this is some of the best graphic work I've seen across the board. The weather effect in particular are 2nd to none. The speed, the variety of tracks and cars- all amazing. It's a very great racer, but it will challenge even pro's in the later levels with the faster cars and tougher weather effects. And- It's got bikes. That alone makes it special and extremely cool. For the price it's going for... it's insane to NOT have a copy of this game in your library. Even with FM4 coming out soon- you should own and experience this game.

I will say that PGR4 is a very realistic looking game. But that's its biggest shortfall. YOU CAN'T TURN! The worst thing about it is while you have to slow down completely to turn, other racers do not. This sets you back and sometimes you'll drift nicely around a corner only to exit in an uncontrollable slide. And where's the motivation for even playing? At least Burnout Paradise had something to guide you through the game and give you a reason to keep driving. This game, there needed to be a story, or something to keep the player attached to the game. The selection of vehicles was nice. I enjoyed seeing some of my favorite cars driving around. It was also nice to be able to race against motorcycles while in a car and vice versa. But this small good thing is hardly enough to bring me back to it. While most racing games would make you want to get a security system for the vehicles that you have in your garage, PGR4, which seems to be a 360 clone of Gran Turismo, just makes me want to throw it into park, walk away and leave the keys in the ignition.

Ok... this game is one of THE best racing games in the world! I would start off with the mechanics, which is more realistic than Ridge Racer and Gran Turimso put togther. In Midnight Club, you just turn the corner, in Ridge Racer, the turing lacks/ the drifting is guided, and in Gran Turimso, you can't even stop in the nick of time to even get halfway through a corner. PGR4 is way more realstic than any racing game i've SEEN in my entire life. The graphics are crisp and realstic, the cars are highly detailed to the dashboard, and the driving mechanics are realstic. You actually have to slow down and turn or slow down and drift to make it around. The only thing that sucks is the collection of cars and customization- you can only change the color scheme of the car. This game is NOT a Gran Turimso knock-off, it dates back to the Dreamcast as Metropolian Street Racer, people! Its older than Gran Turimso! Also, the music lacks because of there being several music tracks that you might not like. Bizarre's taken it to a new level- if you can't hold the corner, get out of the car...

yeah, pgr4 is awesome! this the best race game out there. now even better than gran turismo 5 prologue! the graphics are superb, the controls are excellent. the only thing is that there are no racing cars. and you cannot customize your vehicle. but besides that, this game is great. it feels good to drive luxury exotics of which you cannot afford in real life. burn outs look great, you can see it on the street. you can also use bikes in races. online racing is the best. you can race folks from across the globe. set up your chat rooms, kick players out, set options for races like tracs, car types, and weather condition. how many games can do that. one thing i would like to see though is an improvement in the damages. instead of just cracked windows and broken mirrors, i wanna see cars totalled! Great Game Microsoft, Hats Off!! Hands down!! Two Thumps way up!!

Please people dont be confused! Forza and PGR are not compeating against each other. Both games are made by microsoft. Each one is unique and are geared towards different types of race fans. You have your arcade racers(PGR) and you have your sim racers(Forza).Of course some of us enjoy both.I Believe each franchise is the best at what they do!PGR was one of the first games I recieved when the original xbox came out and ever since i've really enjoyed playing this series. This game will not dissapoint any car fan who just wants too rip up the streets in high end exotics all the while having your sences dazzeled with amazing graphics and awesome 5.1 sound.A must buy for any arcade style race fan. P.S. I preordered Forza and have played it at least 3 times a week since i bought it and dont figure trading it anytime soon! Five stars all the way.(Racing Sim)!

Since the first MSR on Sega Dreamcast there was something about the Kudo system I liked. The Project Gotham franchise has grown the concept and used to power of the Xbox and now the Xbox 360 to push the visual presentation and the fun level up with each iteration. The game may not have as many cars as Forza or Gran Turismo but it has what both of those games do not. Ease of pick up and play which equates to fun. I am a motorhead so I enjoy tweaking my cars and racing in Forza but the ultra-realistic physics can sometimes mean more frustration than fun. The PGR games have always been a fun diversion from the more serious racers while not trying to go too far over the top like the Need for Speed or Burnoout games. PGR is in league unto itself in the racing world. A joy to behold and fun to play it doen't get any better than this.
