Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Really short and lacked need for skill
I have been playing all of the prince of persia games since the sands of time trilogy for ps2, my favorite being warrior within. I was interested when I first got this game and was hoping for the same level of playability that was in the previous games. I was very dissapointed to notice that the combat system seemed to be much too easy with no way to really increase the level, only decrease. I also noticed the achievements as I continued told me where in the story I was, when I got 3/4 through the game in what felt like a few hours, I was dissapointed in the length of the game. The graphics were great and everything was present with new cool abilities, but there was not enough of a challenge to actually need to use them besides the overcrouding of enemies at certain points, where mashing the x button becomes your best friend. I am sorry to say that this has been my least favorite prince of persia game that seemed kinda forced because it came out around the same time as the movie.
Really fun game
I've been wanting this game for a year and I finally got it.And I have to say that it did not I repeat again not disappoint me.I had a lot of fun playing through the game. The game isn't that hard to pass.I passed it on easy and normal and it was pretty fun.The story kept me entertained and it made a lot of sense. One of the cool things about this game is the powers.Next I want to talk about the sword you unlock later in the game.It kills skeletons and those other enemies in just one hit. That's awesome! Next is the final boss fight. On easy if you run out of health you could just go back in time and dodge the attack. But on normal you can't use any of your powers. They tried to make it a little bit harder but it's pretty easy to pass. The controls are a little bit hard at the beggining of the game if you have never played POP on the XBOX 360.The only boss there is is Ratash and he is not that hard to beat.So I hope this review helped you to decide if you want this game and that's it
It's a great game
Okay now pop is freaking awsome the parkour is sick the combat is average I just going to make it short if you hate prince of persia games this one probaly change your mind about 98 percent yea ubisoft does not make the best games but imagine assassins creed if you like it 76 percent better i Give this game a 10 OUT OF 10 thank you for reading.
I must say that I was a little weary of this game when the first Prince of Persia for the X-Box 360 was not as good as I hoped it would be, even though it was still very enjoyable. I found this game to be everything that I loved about the POP's on the older consoles (with the minor exception of a lack of gore) but the controls are very fluid, the puzzles are not as frequent as the Sands of Time but are much more complex in regards to timing. The graphics are simply amazing considering that there can be anywhere to 30 enemies on screen combined with all the scenery. The latter bosses provide a challenge, especially on the normal difficulty setting. I do miss being able to run off the wall and do acrobat attacks and kills on enemies but I digress. The storyline isn't the strongest, but then again I didn't buy this game for story. If you like Story based games I suggest BioShock and BioShock 2. The ability to "Freeze" water in it's place at time is just an amazing feat of programming. It's fun to be able to platform using a liquid turned solid by the slowing of time. You also get to upgrade abilities to take out enemies faster, which again helps on the normal difficulty setting. It's not perfect by any standards, but this game is what I've been craving since I beat Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones almost 7 years ago. Kudos UbiSoft.
I can’t tell you how happy I am that this turned out to be better than I expected. While going back to explore what happens in the time span between The Sands of Time and The Warrior Within sounds like an amazing idea, there was about 500 things that could have gone wrong with it. What they turned in was a very good game that does a great job of filling in the storyline in that gap of time. The graphics are outstanding too. The platforming is insane and the addition of elemental magic is well conceived and well implemented. I’m glad they didn’t just hand in something sparse and lacking because honestly, they could use this franchise as a cash cow. It has enough fans that they didn’t have to do as great a game as they did. But they cared enough to give us a great game, and I’m happy with the result.
Not what I expected
I'm a fan of the POP games, but this one was kind of a disappointment for me. It was shorter than I expected it to be, and the story was kind of boring. I think that the first POP SOT is better than this one. Still, its a good game to get
Well Done But...
Overall this game was good, but it was kinda light and not very hardcore. What I mean by that is that you weren't able to kill humans at the start which was kinda lame. It was missing a darker feel that warrior within and two thrones had. But kudos to the special abilitys, I thought those were well done. It however does not take long to beat and is fairly easy. If you can borrow it or rent it off a friend that would be ideal. I wouldn't spend on this game because of its length. Overall a good game, but missing that great two thornes feel, Im sad to say :\
The game we have been waiting for, then forgot
I am a really big fan of the POP series ever since the Sands of Time. I rented thisnew game for 4 days and beat it in 2 and for the other 2 days I was just like meh whatever its over. I tried so hard to get excited about playing the game again, but couldn't find that same spark that I had with POP SOT WW and TTT. Rent the game, play it, finish it just for the story, even though it has nothing to do with the Sands of Time series. Wait for the next one to come out and hopefully they return that spark
Just What A Loyal Prince of Persia Fan Needs
I wasn't so sure of the game when I first picked it up. Honestly, I had mixed emotions the moment I opened the case. I was wrong to be skeptic of the game. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is a great action adventure game that must be played by any fan of the series. The game has nothing to do with the movie and instead takes place between the two games Sands of Time and Warrior Within. The gameplay is nice and the graphics are rich in detail. There are lots of changes in this game compared to the Sands of Time trilogy. For instance, the free running system is more advanced. The fighting system has some nice and advanced upgrades. This helps the game become more exciting rather than tedious like the previous reboot. The story is also interesting and helps to keep you involved. The only issue in the game was that the length was 8 hours and that the game was a little too easy. There isn't much replay ability after you beat it. You can only hope on playing the story over again. Overall, the game is a great game and is worth it. If you have no plans on buying it, then I suggest you rent it for it would be a great game to play for the weekend.
This Is A Good Game!
First of if you like long games and a challenge, this game is for you. It has amazing graphics and sound. It doesn't go like the movie or the games. But if your a fan of PoP then this game you wanna get. Like the other Prince of Persia games it has a lot of challenges and puzzles here and then. YOU will not fly through it like some 6 hour games. The story line is pretty good unless you hope you would be fighting people not sand monsters. The upgrades are cool and their is different powers you unlock. Razia helps you but you don't fall in love with her or all of that. And you only see one of your brothers in the game and half the time your arguing with him. I'm not going to give any spoilers are away but you can control more stuff than just time. Like I was saying, it has some puzzles that may make you throw down your control some times but it's a whole lot of fun.
