Best Puzzle Game Ever Made
Portal: Still Alive was originally included in The Orange Box back in 2007. It was the underdog of those games, but still got credit, and was loved by critics. Though, Portal 2 is much better, this is still a refreshing game. Portal follows Chell, a female character who signed up to be tested by a robot named GlaDos. While none of this is explained, you can really piece it together by the end. The writing is charming, and funny. It is really that witty/scientific version of humor. The game can be very easy, or very difficult. While the first fifteen chambers are simple, the last five are really challenging which is great because that's what a puzzle game is supposed to do. You get this portal gun, which allows you to shoot a hole in a wall, and come out somewhere else. I'm not great at describing this game. Anyways, the main concept is to shoot and jump your way through 19 or twenty levels. However, that is the big problem with the game. The length. It took me about two hours on my first playthrough, and then fifty minutes on my next. It is really short. Thankfully, it's got a ton of replay value. Overall, this is a game that everyone should try. It's charming, fun, and makes you feel smart by the end.

Excellent if you're smart enough
Portal is an excellent game with everything ranging from mind-boggling puzzles to hilarious quotes. This game is great for those who enjoy puzzle games. The only flaw is after you beat it there's not much left. This game is only for those types of people who think outside the box.

Very fun
I think my problem was playing the second Portal first because I really did not appreciate it as much as I should. I found the game very fun and I loved hearing Glados go from very robot to human sounding, but I just could not find it as amazing as the second. So what i am telling all of you to do is to play this first, then play the second one, you will appreciate it much more than me.

it's a good for a puzzle game
it's good for a puzzle game, but it's a puzzle game. All you do is shoot portals around and its boring

My Favorite Game
I am not great at playing video games. But there is one thing I know.I know that this is one of the best games ever. This is one of the not so many video games I beat. Why?Because of the fact that this game might be hard for some people, but it is not easy to just give up on it.There is something about it's storyline, dark humor, and gameplay that will make you keep wanting to play it some more.I'm dead serious. After you beat the game, there will be moments where you feel like playing/beating portal.Half of the time this happens you will beat portal.Hardcore gamers beat this game in about 4-6 hours.Casual gamers might beat the game in about at least a week.If your horrible at video games (like me) it should take 1-4 months. That time won't pass by fast, but once you beat this game you won't only feel great. You will fall in love with this game. After beating this game I wrote this review in 5 minutes. That is how much I love this game.

The best puzzle game ever
Portal is the best puzzle game ever with a great story which people are still quoting until today and will have you cracking up thoughout the entire game. The game play sounds simple you use two portals to get to the elevator which completes the level but portal makes you use your mind and think like you've never thought before. the only reason I did not give this game a perfect 10 is because the game isn't that long but it is definently worth your money.

For what it costs, it delivers 3 times as much
Portal is the cinderella story of video games. How does a game that comes packaged with 3 half-life games and a team fortress game get the most spotlight out of all of them? Because it is truly amazing. The concept of portal is you have a blue portal and an orange portal. You can shoot them onto specific surfaces and when you go in one you come out the other. Easy right? Then they throw buttons, boxes, laser balls, and tons more things your way. Portal has the best difficulty curve I have ever seen. Still Alive makes the original better with a few new challenge levels that stretch your mind even more. After you beat the 3-4 hour action packed single player story you can dive into the advanced maps. Basically the single player maps, but a bit more difficult. Challenge mode is next, and basically you have three goals. Beat each level with either the least portals, least steps, or the fastest. Each one can be done separately and is its own challenge. If you complete all of these with a gold medal you are an amazingly dedicated person. All in all this game has a great story with fun gameplay, but gives you so much to do when you finish that.

Does it deserve to be still alive?
Portal is a Scifi puzler set in the Half Life universe.Released in 2007 as part of the orange box the game was critizied for being short. The mod community helped us, and devloped mods. The xBox360 originally was only avalible on the Xbox360 orange box. The retail units of the Orange box are no longer produced (aside from pc).Nammed after the Credit song, Still alive this game was released in 2008 on the xbox live arcade. The graphics arent amazing, as they are still using source. The game involves a computerized (at first) prontologist but is later reviled to be a antlogist who killed every body in the Aperture Science Enrichment center using Nurotoxin. The graphics are DECENT for todays standards but amazing looking compared to GoldSrc games. The gameplay is fast paced however is repetitive:Shoot holes in the walls, celings, and floors with alot of momentim obsticles. The dialoge is funny and consits of only Ellen Mclain. It fetures 15 maps from the Flash Map pack on PC (Which has about 45).Overall, Get it if you like FPS and Puzzles.

Groundbreaking, revolutionary, addicting as Cake!
A true gem, this game is recommended for everyone to try. Simple, yet complex. Extremely funny while being dead serious. A new genre was born with this game smoothly mixing 1st person shooterish with mind-bending puzzles, some of which require some very quick thinking mixed with split-second timing & well placed "shooting" to get your portals in the proper spots. Most are ones you can sit & think about though in order to figure them out, as long as your not trying to beat any previous times/footsteps/minimum portal use :p The Cake tastes stale, since it had to sit out a while, but the ratman doesn't care, since he's had nothing to eat since that poor chicken failed it's exam.
