Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Not bad for a movie based game
I was actually amazed at how good this game was for only a few bucks. The gameplay makes you feel like a pirate, but at the same time it doesnt touch it all the way. The swordplay is fun and so are the characters, granted that the facial expressions dont vary much. Its not a bad game, but I dont think alot of gamers would get into it unless your a Pirates of the Caribbean fan or just a Pirate fan in general. Its a great buy for its buck, but the only thing I didnt like about it was the camera angles and the characters move kinda slow at times. All in all it was a fun game and I enjoyed it.
This game is a lot of fun, though it doesn't offer up a ton of challenge in the difficulty department. It's enjoyable to play and listen to the actual cast of the movie speak. The graphics are mediocre they could have been better but it wasn't something that was necessary. I enjoyed the game when I had it rented, and I'm thinking of purchasing it currently. It's only $6.99, so it's a must-get for me. I've played a majority of games (excluding sports) that are on the 360. I pretty much play EVERYTHING, but sports games because they never change no matter how many times they remake them, anyway. Back to the topic at hand, if I were anyone I would definately go and pick this up as soon as possible, its' a fun easy game thats enjoyable and just to sit back and relax without getting upset or angry at.
Can it avoid the Black Spot?
What concerns me about this title is how little we've heard about it thus far. While I know it isn't necessarily customary for developers to tip their hands when they conceptualize a title, there was zero buzz about this game until the movie was closer to release. This ususally is a sign of rushed and/or incomplete development, but it may not be the case with Pirates if the back end is as great as the front. Here's hoping this one is not "phoned in".
Every FPS fan should try it!
Call me cynical for not getting hyped up for yet another movie-game marketing move. However, every FPS fan should at least try out this title to see what it is like. Why? I'll tell you why. Because Disney Interactive are the same developers/publishers of the revamped super duper new Turok game coming out. I will rent this game to see how severe the glitches are, how good/poor the graphics are, online play (if any) is, and the littler things such as lighting and voice-overs are and see what Disney can do with next gen games.....especially when they ask full price. However, maybe this game will knock my socks off and I will go purchase it along with putting a pre-order down on Turok. After all it can't be as bad as the ending on Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was right? Anyway, hope this game is good for Turok's sake!
The Trailer is Awesome!!!
I watched the trailer on the pirates of the carribean: at worlds end home page and got to tell ya, it was sweet. A whole army of pirate ships including jack, will, elizabeth, barbosa and the rest of the crew vs. Davy Jones. I'm guessing every single pirate hates that octopus after all. Also, well, i won't give the rest away so watch it, go to google and type in pirates of the caribbean 3 and look for official website or home or something.
This game looks pretty phenomenal. I'm usually skeptical about movie games as I'm sure the rest of you are, but this looks like it could deliver on all aspects of the gaming world.
From what I saw, this game will be for everyone who loves the movies, like me. This game is definately.......(wait for it).......NOT a hack and slash game. Styles of fighting are probably what they are focusing on. I don't know about you, but I want to relive the battle on the Flying Duchman and Black Pearl form Dead Men's Chest. Both movies are put into the game. You can play as Jack Sparrow escaping from prison. You can fight the Cracken. You can battle Davy Jones. You can play as Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Hector Barbrossa, and many more. Sorry for spoiling parts of Dead Man's Chest for those who haven't seen it. I would definately get this game then see the movie. (P.S. I am NOT one of the game creators)
best pirates of the carribean yet!
this game is great i like fighting the british and sneaking into town and playing as will
Trust me on this one
Trust me on this one, games based on movies that are realesed before the movie are going to suck because they don't want to spoil the movie so the game doesn't go along with the movie at all. LOTR return of the king game could have been A LOT better but the game was realesed before the movie so they didn't want to spoil it. If the game comes out a bit after the movie it will probably be like the movie a lot more.
Ehh, it was okay.
Not the best game I ever played, not the worst. I think this game would be more fun for someone who likes Pirates. If you're not into Pirates of the Caribbean though, you're probably better off not buying this.
