Product Details:

Overlord is a groundbreaking, completely original action adventure, set in a seriously warped fantasy world. Controlling a mysterious figure that has inherited the legacy of the evil, long-dead Overlord, the player emerges, near death, from the ruins of the old Overlord's Dark Tower. Only the player's actions will determine if they will rise to become the new all-powerful Overlord; it's all down to how much of a bad ass they want to be in order to succeed...evil or really evil! Played out with plenty of black humor and dark irony, the game will immerse players in twisted parodies of classic fantasy scenarios and characters.

  • Overlord's key innovation is the introduction of an array of impish creatures called the Minions that will use their unique skills to fetch, fight and die for you.
  • Actively control a horde of these gremlin-like Minions and they'll follow your every instruction no matter how despotic or, for the Minions, life threatening it is.
  • Minions are controlled by either moving the horde as a group by firing them with a button press like some destruction-crazed, reusable missiles.
  • As Overlord, you can amass an army of 50 minions (with hundreds in reserve) made up of four different breeds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Minions, Minions, The World is Mine!!! The game is perfect for people looking for something simple, and fun to pass the time. The controls are simple, gameplay is simple, and the concept is simple. There are many things great about this game and many things bad about it as well. The story is not engaging, but does have fun quests at times. The minions follow your orders, there are some stragglers that refuse to listen. There are moments when your put in situations that you CAN'T win but after a few tries manage to beat an enemy. The humor is awesome. I loved the game and even though people say the story is short, I have taken my time and still have yet to beat the game. I would recommend this to anyone. Although once you beat it I could not see ANY reason to play it again. So the replay is very low.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for an T-rated Game! This is an great game for anybody who's tired of good vs evil all the time. I really like the graphics and the game itself. Although it could use some improvements, it's good for anybody who want to be bad

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The good and the bad This is is overall pertty good. Its pertty much about an over lord{you} and you have to be evil or more evil.Which is the first time I have seen this used in a game, but heck if you love being evil in games then get it.That is if you can live with the bad minion controls it took my a while to learn how to use it very well besides just pressing one button and hiving them swarm all over the place. Also the people you fight are not allways good which kind of takes away the point of being evil. Its like being a good guy untill you find some elf.The jokes are cheezy spelt with a z,but sometimes they can be funnie if you like cheesy lines.Well like I said its still a good game dont have really anything to do after you beat it so renting it is a good idea.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from WOW This game is the stupidest game i have played in a long time because i thought ya maybe this will be like dark souls or dragon age origons but no totaly diffrent but maybe someone else will think diffrently. I seen the trailer and i just rented it to see what it was like but this game is not a game for me. I liked it a little but i beat it in about 5 hours and i learned all of the controls in about a half an hour with all the minions and the spells. This game really didnt challenge me at all but it wasnt a waste of money ill tell you that right now! But this game cannot be compared to Dragon age or Dark souls. I am not going to pick up part 2 but you might. I hope this was helpfull to you and hope you like it, unlike me. So let me tell you this! It wasnt what i expected

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I bought this game a few weeks ago and it wasn't what I expected it to be. I like playing a lot of RPG's and shooters but this game was not my type. The game had good advertisement and I thought the concept they grasped onto was a brilliant idea with controlling hordes of minions and taking over land. But there wasn't much interactivity. I mean, you destroy a lot of stuff and you kill a lot of creatures and people and you loot almost everything possible but it became real repetitive quickly and I was soon bored out of my mind. The story was a good story and the voice of the characters were great especially with the Master Minion guy who is the wisest among those vile creatures who give you instructions. But overall, it was a rated T game and I am not saying T games are bad but it was your typical T rated game which meant (this really is a T game lingering around the more younger crowd). If this game wasn't as repetitive to start off with and gave the players more interactivity instead of pressing a few buttons then I would have definitely gave this game a higher rating.
