OneChanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad
zombies + bikinis = good time
This game is a definite hack and slash and follows in the spirit of dynasty warriors and samurai warriors. Who knew that you could definitely spice up the zombie genre by including samurai girls in bikinis? This game has gorgeous characters you can dress up, a pretty decent story line, and definitely a great way to pass the time. The graphics are pretty solid and its pretty fun to switch between characters and chop up monsters. There is even a girl with guns who carries unlimited bullets. The game starts off in normal mode which almost makes the bad guys just stand there but if you beat the game and want more a challenge they also include harder modes and possibly rewards for beating them. Bottom line, gorgeous girls, zombies to kill, great price, hard to pass up.
This game is well worth the time, with it's quirky charecters to it's strange storyline. The game is hands down one of the best hack-and-slash titles ever and one of the best for Xbox 360. The game trys to progress the story with evrey new stage, and all it does is gets more confusing, and does not clear thing up on the sequel on the wii. The game will take you long over 10 hours of gameplay with the acheivemnts and unlockables. Oh And you can even fight zombies while its loading! Bonus! The Voice acting is well done by the japanese actors. The graphics are refreshing and up-beat and gritty. Also a bonus is the dlc for the game which includes a new charecter, So Give this game a try, for it being a low budget game it is well worth your hard earned cash.
I brought this game a month ago and i was amazed how good of a game this really was most people you read their reviews and they are bashing it but i liked the game it had a strange story line but it had good controls and the graphics were improved since the ps2 version of the game. i like the way you could dodge and never get hit in this game. i also like how the game was a a reasonable price for it. the fighting was cool even though their was a unreal amount of blood that came out of the zombies. but any way this game is worthy of playing or at least renting it to see how it plays all you have to do is look pass the corniness and you will see how good this game is. so just don't stop playing the game just because of the first few minutes of play to really like this game you must play it all the way through.
Not a Game To Pass Up
Like others I was first drawn to it by the cover. Sexy girls with swords just seem to good to pass up. When I first started the game I felt a sense of joy overwhelm me at the start up menu that gives such a classic arcade feeling. Upon playing the game I found that it was much more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Tons of zombies to kill, sick moves and combos, all mixed with some really sexy girls with crazy strength. Who doesn't like that? And did I mention the weapons!!! Of course the game is more hack and slash, but I find it useful when surrounded by many zombies that don't wait for you to attack first(like RE5). Overall I this game is not one to pass over when looking for something fun. I'll be waiting for another installment with even more features in it
Don't Judge this game based on what others say
This game is really good in my own opinion. I would compare it to the Dynasty Warriors series except with a few playable characters and they are all ladies. The story line is actually pretty good, but it will be hard to understand because this is actually the 5th game in the series. All the others were released only in Japan for the PS2. You'll have to play the game to see for yourself.
Do NOT Waste Your Money
Granted, when you look at the cover of this game, it's not hard to see what it's about. It's about hot girls in bikinis fighting zombies with swords. That being said, one probably shouldn't expect more than that from it. What you should expect from a game, however, is a comprehensible storyline, some semblance of effort in rendering environments, and, most of all, a sense of enjoyment in playing the game. This game has none of those things. The females in the game are graphically pleasing to the eye. Nothing else in this game is. The surrounding environments barely have enough detail for one to discern what it is they are looking at in the first place. There is nothing in the way of help in figuring out the mechanics of the game. The "Tips" section is empty until you are killed, and only then do they give you a vague idea of what it is you have to do. The control system is ridiculously simple, which should make it simple to play, but it does not. The maps are laughable. The unlockables, though there are many, are pretty much restricted to clothing and hair colors for the main characters, which, in my opinion, are not worth the time it takes to unlock them. The special moves are visually pleasing to look at, but aside from that, it is a bunch of button-mashing that has no skill involved in it whatsoever. Do not buy this game. You'll be more mad that you wasted time and money on it.
Not As Bad As You'd Think
This game actually surprised me. First off, for a game designed for the 360, it didn't look that bad (I'm not really a fan of the graphical capabilities of the 360 as Sony has spoiled me). And for a game with the kind of name it has, it's actually quite good. The controls are good, the story is campy enough to make it entertaining and, it's actually just fun. The game suffers from the problem facing every zombie game and hack and slash game where the enemies get REALLY redundant but luckily the stages and the things you do in the game stir up enough difference to keep you playing. If you're looking for a deep, compelling game go elsewhere but if you're looking for a fun hack and slash with good controls this wouldn't be a bad try. Give it a shot.
OK I'll admit, the 2 main reasons I picked up this game are because it had zombies in it and I'm a huge zombie fan, and hot chicks to boot and who isn't a fan of those? However after putting time in, and now I've finished it on normal difficulty, I have fallen in love with this game. There are so many things to unlock in this game, and so many moves to learn and master. Yes the graphics aren't up to par but it is originally a 3 year old game for previous gen systems but the character models look fantastic in all their jiggly glory. There is quite a vast array of zombie types and you'll see more as you progress through the game, and it takes some time to finish, took me about 9 hours first time through and I'm far from done with it. I purchased the add-on pack this morning that adds 3 additional characters and new costumes and the extra characters are great. I'm now going to work on unlocking everything and leveling everybody up.This game is kind of a niche game, you'll probably either love it or hate it. If you want something fun and easy to just pick up and play in short spurts or for hours, and have an open mind for a game of this type, then you'll probably like it. It has kind of a B movie feel to it, kinda made me think of Earth Defense Force for some reason, another game with low production value but was crazy fun. If you are looking for top notch cutting edge graphics then look elsewhere as again this game looks pretty dated however it doesn't deter me from loving it. I'd say it's one of the most fun and surprisingly deep hack and slash games I've ever played and I hope that the publisher brings more of these over to the United States. At least give it a rent and see what you think.
Cant Play Game
I had classes and could not try the game out within the return policy which is my own fault. I can not give a good review since gamestop gave me a bad copy of the game. The game dvd loads as a movie or as unrecognized disc. This is the first time I have ever seen a game run like this. I do know this game is great played on the Wii from a friends system. But gamestop giving a bed copy like this is sad since they did not test the game before selling.
well to some guys out there this game is good to me so what ever lousers
