Enjoyable Game Experience - Gangstas of AC!
Loved loved the game. Not just for those of us in NJ. Like the fact that you work your way up through the mob. Excellent game play, graphics, sounds and control. Keep coming back to play.

Great Game, You will lose track of time!
If you have a Drs. appointment or something real important don't start playing Omerta, because you will lose track of time, I am not kidding. The game is very easy to play and get the hang of compared to some turn based games out there. It starts off easy enough and as you build up your crew you will be able to complete more tasks at one time and start building your empire from the ground up. The story is very good, the gameplay moves along smoothly, the graphics aren't what you may be looking for, but I felt the were just right. In the future I would like to see some DLC as far as weapons and maybe expanding the map a little, but all in all for the price of this game you will get your bang for the buck. But if you are not an RPG, tactical turned based combat, simulation game fan this game is not for you. I favor these games so that is why it was a great fit for me. I would have liked to play Omerta on the PC if I had a gaming PC as some of my friends said clicking on your next move was a lttle smoother, but palying on the 360 was great for me, but would have loved to make the comparison for myself. One more thing the 1920's the start of the mob in Atlantic City and with a game representing a historically accurate setting with landmarks and you left to run it your way equals awesome. Now I am sorry but I have to go grab my fedora, cigar and glass of whiskey and see how my empire is coming along.

Fun conquering Atlantic City
I'm currently a big fan of the Boardwalk Empire so I was looking forward to this gangster sim. Although, there is no affiliation with the series you're playing in actual landmarks in Atlanta City during the prohibition era. The controls have been simplified for the console, which I like. You can quickly set up jobs for your henchmen like extort, bribe, etc in real-time. The downside is that you have to wait for them to perform those duties, which seems like a drag when you're first starting out with only one henchman. I think a fast forward function would have been a nice addition early on, but if you're playing a sim game I think wait times are expected. The fun starts when you begin to build your empire and send in your goons to go in for kills. There's nothing like setting your guys around the perimeter with tommy guns while you walk in with a bat to beat faces in. :) I'm still building my empire so I'm not sure what it'll be like when I conquer the city, but I'm having fun doing it.

Blech!
A terrible letdown! What should've been a can't-miss combination of Sim City, X-com & Mafia 2 turned out to have none of the appeal of even one of these games. No rival families? In a game based on organized crime? Why not make a racing sim without cars or a FPS without guns? Some truly baffling design decisions, dated graphics & just plain clunky mechanics make for an exercise in futility rather than a fun gaming experience. I returned this 2 days after purchasing it. Avoid this even after it's marked down.

This is not tropico with capone.
A game that i was pretty excited for turned out to just sadly let me down. Being a huge tropico and xcom fan you would think this game is perfect. Its not. having similar features to both the games the city managing of tropico and the combat of xcom. the game doesn't do it right. too often i got bored really quick and the graphics are very dated. there are no other gangsters in the game or families so to speak to try and take back territory. so your always fighting random thugs. at the end of the day your real enemy is running out of cash. the building all have the same logo so its hard remembering where i built what, the combat isn't too bad though. i was actually able to enjoy the combat. but not having a permanant death like in xcom your guy is just patched up and ready for the next fight. the game isn't awe full. its just not good and not what i expected.
