Product Details:

Packed with signature high-speed action from its hero, Ryu Hayabusa, the latest chapter in the famed NINJA GAIDEN action series brings additional playable characters, a new gameplay mode, a redesigned battle system, the Ninja Skills upgrade system, and expanded online features including bonus content.

In NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE, the enigmatic warrior Ryu Hayabusa must fight to lift a curse that threatens to destroy him. Developed by Team NINJA, the fighting game was designed from the ground up to satisfy core NINJA GAIDEN series fans with a redesigned battle system, improved enemy AI, greatly reduced QTE interactive sequences, and the bloody return of dismemberment. Even with severed arms or legs, enemies will fight on and players will find they have to constantly change up their attacks to win tough battles - the challenge level leaves very little room for error. However, with perfect attacks players can not only cut off limbs but slice an enemy completely in two!

The Ninja Skills systems lets players use Karma earned in battles to purchase weapon and Ninpo upgrades, feats, and costumes to build their own perfect ninja. Adding to the variety of gameplay, Kasumi, Ayane, and Momiji all join Hayabusa as playable characters. Ayane gets her own chapters in story mode while all three female characters can be played in the new Chapter Challenge mode as well as Ninja Trials co-op play.

Chapter Challenge mode has been expanded to include ten chapters (including new Ayane stages) allowing players compete for the highest possible score in each chapter of the story. Six weapons for Hayabusa are included in the game, and the female characters get their own weapons for even more variety. Additionally, Inferno, Wind Blades, and Piercing Void have been added as new Ninpo. In the new Tests of Valor challenges, players discover Crystal Skulls hidden in each level to be transported to engage in tough boss battles.

The online features in NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE have been greatly expanded, including all of the previously paid DLC from NINJA GAIDEN 3. The Ninja Skills upgrade system can be used online letting players use Karma to purchase customizable features for the Unknown Ninja used in multiplayer Clan Battles. Players can use all of game's weapons and Ninpo in Clan Battles, for which five new stages have been added, giving them access to their favorite methods of attack. The number of co-op missions in Ninja Trials mode has been tripled, and all four playable characters are available for this mode.

  • Redesigned Battle System: With dismemberment, improved enemy AI, and an upgraded battle system, NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE provides the fastest, most brutal, and insanely intense Ninja action game experience in NINJA GAIDEN history.
  • Play as Kasumi, Ayane, and Momiji: Kasumi joins Ayane and Momiji for the first time in the series as a playable character in Chapter Challenge and Ninja Trials modes, while Ayane has her own chapters in story mode. All three female characters get stunning costume options.
  • New Chapter Challenge Mode: Compete for the highest score possible in all ten chapters of the story with Hayabusa, Ayane, Momiji, or Kasumi.
  • New Weapons and Ninpo: In addition to Hayabusa's three weapons, the Jinran-Maru & Blade of the Archfiend swords, Lunar Staff, and Kusari-gama have been added along with Inferno, Wind Blades, and Piercing Void Ninpo.
  • Ninja Skills Upgrade System: Karma earned in battle can be used to freely purchase weapon and Ninpo upgrades, feats, costumes, and more.
  • New Tests of Valor Challenge: Pick up the Crystal Skulls hidden in each story to be transported to face familiar bosses from the series' most intense battles.
  • Expanded Online Features: Access all previously paid DLC from NINJA GAIDEN 3 as well as five new stages for Clan Battles. The Ninja Skills system is available in online play with 64 customizable features for the Unknown Ninja. The number of co-op Ninja Trials missions has been increased from 33 to 100, and Hayabusa, Ayane, Momiji, and Kasumi can all be used in this mode.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just can't get enough Ninja Gaiden 3: RE hits is greatest pinnacle with over the top non-stop action. I highly recommend this game to anyone even if you've never played prior entries. The game has fluid combat, a variety of weapons, awesome customization, extremely high replay value and is really simple to understand but by no means easy. With 5 difficulties to choose from ranging from Hero to Ultimate Ninja your ability as Ryu Hayabusa will truly be tested. The most enjoyable part of the game I would have to say is Ninja Trials which is where you'll find yourself spending most of your time after defeating the Story on Master Ninja or (if your up for the relentlessly unforgiving task) Ultimate Ninja. Ninja Trials allow you to create your own Ninja which you can level up and customize to your own liking. Defeating a certain amount of trials awards you with epic gear which I musy say can really make your ninja look badass. With 100 Ninja Trials to choose from you really cant ask for more. Ninja Trials can be tackled alone but can also be played with a partner and you'll be begging for a good one at some point I promise you that. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge is a game you should definitely pick up and give a try if you've never played it before. I've played 1000s of games and there's nothing quite like this game. If you've never played a Ninja Gaiden some of the dismemberments (yes the game is gratifyingly gory) can make for some jaw dropping visuals. One word: Kusari Gama. There's no way I can see anyone not enjoying this game especially after you become an avid Ninja and see how much content and charm it has to offer. Ninja Gaiden 3: RE can easily be enjoyed by newcomers and casual gamers alike but was made for the most hardcore demanding players out there in mind. If you manage to defeat everything, EVERYTHING this game was to offer it'll definitely be one of the if not the greatest gaming feat you've ever accomplished. Team Ninja really outdid themselves with this one. 9.5 out 10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best ninja gaiden to date This is just as good or better than ninja gaiden black. It's insanely difficult which makes it that much better, I still haven't beat it. If you want a real challenge buy this game. If you're one of those people crying that it's too hard go back to playing blocks on mindlesscraft ( minecraft ) which by the way is the worst game ever made. And that includes atari games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST NINJA GAIDEN OF THIS GENERATION I love all the ninja gaiden games that they have made, I recently got ninja gaiden black for 360 and it is amazing! ninja gaiden 2 was so fun and it was great seeing ninja gaiden 3 in better graphics but was disappointed in the lack of weapons but THIS one makes up for it! Ninja Gaiden 3 wasn't bad in my opinion, but it could have been better with body dismemberment and karma as currency and muramasa to buy all the things we loved from the first two. Ninja Gaiden 3 razors edge has so many things like extra costumes, more weapons to choose to cut up your enemies, and a couple new stories for the female characters of the game. One thing I certainly do not miss is the super doper difficulty of it haha but im no bad mofo but the fact is, this game is the best hack n slash of this generation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ninja Gaiden is back! When I first play NG3, I was disappointed not by the story but by the lack of hardcore gameplay. This game has a lot of potential . Razor's edge makes great use of that potential! To all who disliked NG3, buy this one instead!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from THANK GOD I wrote a review before the release saying how disappointed I was with NG3, and Team Ninja has truly redeemed themselves. I am extremely happy with the outcome of the game. Dismemberment and finishes were my favorite part of NG2 and they brought it back. The combat system has been improved, and they also increased the difficulty. I admit, it might be too much for a casual gamer, but for die-hard Ninja Gaiden players, this is a must have game. I'm happy to say I'm a proud owner of NG3: Razor's Edge. Keep up the good work TN, and please don't fail your fans with a failure like NG3 again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! Good graphics, excellent sound (specially those clangs when metal meets metal), beautiful music, unbelievable action. There must be a mistake on the prices shown. Pre-owned more expensive than new?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than the original...But not by much Don't get me wrong, I love Ninja Gaiden. And this game is MUCH better than the original NG3. However like Ninja Gaiden Black, this game's difficulty is shifted into overdrive. (Normal is hard, hard is impossible). If I spend more time dying than progressing through a stage then I find something else. The inclusion of more weapons and dismemberment from NG2 is a nice touch. The plot's still the same...meh. I only recommend for die hard Ninja Gaiden players.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WAY better than the first NG3!!! compared to Ninja Gaiden 3, this one takes the cake. You have more moves, more weapons, and 4 playable players. I would recommend this to any disappointed Ninja Gaiden fan.
