i am so glad to have a copy of ncaa 09 it has great gameplay and i love all the features that have been improved. i have not even scratched the surface of the game and i got i on midnight release, i have only played play now and minigames and im not even bored with the game. if u enjoyed college 08 last year then u will love 09 this year. The new break away running controls and fluid gameplay brings so much realism to the game let alone the cheerleaders and sideline antics of the mascots. one of my best features in this game is the custom music sounds i have a playlist for any major action that i can do in the game, theres nothing like hearing your favorite music clip when u stop the opposing team on 3rd down.i also like how the download roster from your friends gamertag lets u download rosters for the dynasty and playnow game modes, i remember last year i had to manually put them in the game and it took a long time, well enough talking i got a dynasty to start see u on the field.

First, Not only does NCAA 09 have the smoothest controls for a sports game, but it also has NO GLITCHES.... Now I Don't Know about you, but I think a game about playing the Xbox 360 would be great with no glitches.... Second, the game has an online dynasty mode that just so happens to be the deepest dynasty mode in the NCAA football Next-gen history... The Celebrations are Great, and this is the FIRST football game that makes a player reach for more yards when they dive, and tip-toe up the sideline to stay in bounds...... This game is also very detailed on the field, and Player equipment looks amazing..... you can choose Oakley, Nike, or Under armour Visors.... That right there is amazing in itself, not to mention they look amazing. The colors are amazing in the game, and the uniforms look cleaner than ever... Lastly, My all time favorite NCAA Running Back is on the Cover.... If you don't want to get the game for yourself, get it for me.... (You'll probably end up loving it)

I love this game..... and all the new features. The gameplay is smooth and very challenging and the All-American. The online dynasty mode is a great feature. I also like the EA locker so I can download the real NCAA rosters from peoples gamertag. I have only one problem with the game and thats the pre-game show..... ah well there isn't one. On real TV they start college game day coverage at like 7a.m and have it all day. You would think EA could spent a few minutes and make a pre-game show like they used to have with Lee and Kirk making their calls on who is going to win the game and talking about the teams. And where is the team entrance to the field? ah there is none. I want to see Notre Dame touch the wall on there way to the field. Even though most gamers just skip it and go straight to playing. I don't I want to feel like its a real College experience. If EA uses the saying "It's in the game" They better start putting it in the game. I would still recommand the game because it is a good game.

This game actually gives the players there own mind. They make decisions on what they see and feel. For example, say you run a counter trap play action. The linebackers (who are watching the guards) will follow the pulling guard taking them completely out of the play. Unless you have a better linebacking core then they will read and react. This bodes well with the rest of the defense. Overall this game is awesome and so realistic. Online dynasty is a great addition and should only get better in following versions. The online does get a bit bogged down at times and can take over what you are trying to do. But it is easy to start a dynasty with people you dont know by finding them on the chats and forums. If you are looking for a real football game that does test your football IQ, then this is it. If you are just a fan and dont know anything about packages on offense or defense and you dont imply strategy into what plays you choose then beware. This will be boring for you.

For once in the past 4 years NCAA Football 09 wasnt a big let down. EA did a really good job. The graphics are amazing and gameplay is suprisingly awesome. No more BS! No 1 handed 80 yards ctches and all that crap. Its actually pretty realistic. The online Dynasty is pretty cool. You have to compete for recruits amongst your friends. You can also download rosters from the ea locker so that you can have the names of the players. The animations are really good to. After a crushing big hit the player doesnt just stand up and act like it was nothing. He lays on the ground and stumbles as he gets up. Also the players pick up balls of the ground and run with it like they do in real life. Also during timeouts you can give you tam a peptalk. Like if your the defense you can give them a pep talk to get the ball back and on offense yo can tell your offensive line to blok bettter. If this game is any indicaton of what madden 09 will be then it will be awesome. EA is back!
Rated 5 out of 10 by pissedncaafan Time for a REAL update.
This game has just been getting minor improvements for years now, and 09 is no exception. Its not that good of a game anymore, its time for a serious overhaul. Plus you throw in the fact that the game is loaded with bugs this year and you have a game that can be passed on. Very underwhelming overall. The gameplay is better with some new animations, but there are so many annoying quirks that ruin it, players will run out of bounds even when they are wide open and running for a TD, linebackers will turn and run in the opposite direction of the ballcarrier, cornerbacks will hesitate and stand straight up to allow an offensive player to make a play, D-linemen are useless and will be wiped out by the worst o-lines in football. All of these are due to EA's attempt to make the gameplay more wide-open. Essentially all they did was make the AI defense absolutely retarded. Plus there is a roster bug where entire teams will literally disappear. Seriously. Again this game is so dated now, and the bugs/glitches this year just ruin it.
Rated 6 out of 10 by Bigadam1007 Eh. It's Alright.
I bought this game in early January and at the beginning it was on the best games I've ever played. But the longer I played it the more I found the game repetitive and a little boring. I like the dynasty mode with all the options and variations. The campus legend mode was okay. I made a quarterback and in 4 high school games he threw for 15 touchdowns and rushed for 6. So it's not very challenging. I don't like the pressure of picking one college that you have to play for the rest of your career, but I do like that when you graduate you can upload your player to your madden 09 game and play with him in the pros. Overall it's a good game, I've played better, and I've played much worse. I think that if EA tweaked some of the replay effects it would be a 7 or 8. Thats the most annoying, you can't skip watching the Pontiac Game Changing Performance at the end of the game. So if the game changing performance is a 110 yard interception return. You will find yourself watching a very, very long replay. This is why I give this game a 6 out of 10.
Rated 9 out of 10 by react puts pressure on madden 09
This game really puts pressure on madden 09 at first buying this game i was skeptical on how great it would be,but i was really amazed first off on how real it plays i mean if you played football for your school or a league then you will re-live the experience of playing on the fireld for evey position. The home field advantage playsa big part especially if your in a important game and playing against a top ten team the olny down fall to the game in my opinion is the tackling it's not bad but it's also not great i think that will be next year focus, but the game is so realistic that that tackling issue can be easily over looked.I have not had a chance to play online with the dynasty but the computer A.I is hard also there are no gimme game like last year these teams stick to there gameplans and run them effective you have to reconize coverages packages blitz if not you will suffer on offense or defense overall i think the game is great a little work on tackling but go and get it.At the gamestop near my house there was only three left!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The overall gameplay is good in 2008. However, the game can use a total focus on the game itself. I feel that the focus should be geared in creating the complete football game and maybe not worry so much about other game modes. The game should include authentic stadium chants, all authentic team stadiums, team entrances, alternate uniforms (with the ability to unlock uniforms worn in the past), real grass looking fields, cheerleaders, coaches and referees. Maybe even upgrade the graphics to their counterpart on the NFL level of the game. I would also like to see hand warmers, eye black and towels as options in editing/creating the players. I just feel that if a solid dynasty mode can be put together that includes all that are mentioned above, there would be no need for other game modes. I'm just a bigtime college football fan who wants to play a college football game that incorporates the greatness that is college football.
