NBA Street Homecourt
NBA Street Review
NBA Street Homecourt is a fantastic addition to the legendary NBA Street series. The new tricks and dunks are good but gets boring easily. The best part of the game are the gamebreaker battles and the way people can perform alley-oops. The only thing that is a downer is the roster. It is not updated and more importantly, there was no extra characters. There are the beloved street legends (shown below), but they can only be obtained via xbox marketplace(300 ms points) or playstation store. Overall, this is a series to be reckened with. If they can bring back FIFA Street (coming in March), they need to bring back NBA Street.
Very Good Game
This game is very good. I think it is very good because of the tricks you can do in the game like a double dounk, and getting gamebreakers. This game is alot better in my opinion then most normal basketball games because it is more freestyle. Do not plan on playing this game online unless you know of someone who has it because you cant find a match. The game is good though and if you like acheivments then get this game because it is an easy 1000g for 16 acheivments. The only reason this game did not get a ten was because you cant play online with the normal public. I will be buying another so me and my dad can play online so i can get the last 2 acheivments.
Good game a little too short though
This is the first game i got for my xbox. It is a fantastic game. Probably the best out of all the street games. The only problem i have with it is that it is a little too easy to beat and there's nothing to do really after u beat it. Besides that good game
Nothing above average
This isn't the best game on the block if you have kids they might enjoy it but for only $9.99 there isnt much to lose. I also had a Ps2 and this game is not better than NBA Street V3 but its ok.
A Real Game Review
Now some people with complain that this game is really easy. They are correct, however so were most of the NBA Street games. This one brings back all the awesomeness from all the previous NBA Street games EXCEPT the Slam Dunk Contest. It takes a small step down from NBA Street V3 and doesn't include the dunk contest, however it does make up for it with the amazing gamebreakers and double and triple dunks you can preform. The roster isn't too bad but is a little outdated. The Story mode is known as Homecourt Challenge which you use a created baller to play through the game, recruiting ballers on your team and eventually end up recruiting pro players such as Lebron James. I personally loved this game but if it could have been improved I woulda liked to see a Slam Dunk Contest followed by some sort of Legend Teams with Michael Jordan & Larry Bird etc.. The online on the other hand, can be frustrating because your opponent may disconnect on you if your about to win and you will not receive the win. But despite the negative sides it has a pretty awesome soundtrack that fits well with the atmosphere of the game just like all NBA Street Games. Since it's only around $10 and if you are a big hardcore achievement collecter or a NBA Street fan this game is definitely for you. The achievements are quite simple despite the 2 online achievements in which could easily be boosted with a friend. This game is well worth the $10. I had a few friends say they didn't like they game simply because they weren't good at it but the learning curve is fairly simple and it's really not that hard to do even the most advanced tricks. Pick up a copy and try for yourself.
Its really just for little kids
this game is for little kids who want to play a less complicated game.i think the game was terrible but thats just my opion.
I'm a Baller
I really like this game. Homecourt Challenge is really well done and pretty long. Its very inspirational and has mini cutscenes about basketball players who played on that court. You'll want to play basketball outside after you play this game. There isn't very many tricks, You use the LB and RB trick modifiers or hold both buttons together for dunks and dribbling. So you might find it a little repetitive but it is awesome. Two player local is fun and you can always re-do the Homecourt Challenge with a new player. DON'T SKIP ANY OF THE CHALLENGES, Do all of them for maximum coolness. The achievements are easy except you can't get two cause they are online achievements and EA cut the online services off.
The best street game ever
The best street game ever. EA needs to make more games like homecourt i love street games the graphics is the best .
do not buy this game. the controls are absolutly terrible and the gameplay is bad. i recommend go buying v2 or v3 because those are way better than this worthless game. one moment your doing a trick and you get the ball stolen and the guy does the same exact trick and you cant pick him, dont buy
it for kids that 5-7 because it very easy
it dose the most they dunk to 3 time in one jump and if you really want some basketball play 2k but kids that just starting play get this game very easy
