Rated 10 out of 10 by agentzero Best Basketball Game Ever
This is by far the best and most addicting gam eI've ever played the only bad part is the my player because it is extremly frustrating but other then that there really isn't anything else wrong with the game and not to mention if you have xbox live the rosters update themselves reguraly so that is very handy for sure and the nba today mode is amazing as it lets you play any game that is going to b played that day and gives you real life stats once again if you have xbox live. Finally I'd like to say if you have an xbox live account you should really go and buy this game while if you don't have an xbox live account you probably shouldn't consider buying it because it does get really boring playing against the cpu this game is great to play with friends because it will amaze them how good the quality of the game is and also will create a competive envirnoment. Once again a game that will be the best selling basketball game for years to come so go and get your copy before it is too late
Rated 8 out of 10 Awesome Game!!! Very Realistic!!!
NBA 2K10 is a great game. I would recomend it for any kind of gamer. party - hardcore, you can still find a way to have fun with it. In this game, there is a new feature called, the association. You choose a team in the NBA, and you enter the draft and manage your team throughout the 2009 NBA season. It is very realistic. Another new feature is NBA blacktop. You can do a very realistic dunk contest, and you can have a three pointer contest. You can also just have a workout or do some pickup games. You can also make your own team & player. The graphics of this game are outstanding!! Most of the players look exactly like they do in real life. That always makes the game more fun. One of the only things I have against this game, is what i have against 90% of all other sports game. I really like games that have a decent halftime report and postgame show. I would like there to be one. That is another way the game gets more fun. Overall I would love for everyone to atleast try it out. This game is amazing.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Northballer92 Very Realistic!!
Where do we even start? This game feels like a brand new NBA game. It doesn't feel like any of the previous 2K's. It's more difficult now also like a real game. You can't just go through the lane dunking anymore with Lebron and Kobe. The breaks are smoother and the passes accuracy is based on how you are running and the angles. You can't throw cross court anymore either because hands are everywhere. You really also get freedom in the post. It's a lost easier to control a post player than 2K9. The shots are even more realistic with each player. Mikael Pietrus doesn't have that fake shot anymore. The dunks are made for each player, too. Dwight Howard does his signature rim-rocking dunk when he's open. It is very hard to drive past somebody. You have to master the pick and rolls and run plays just like real life. No more spin animation with Rashard Lewis with an and1 dunk. This game is awesome, that's all it comes down to. Die hard 2K9 fans, such as myself, you have to get used to the gameplay so don't get frustrated!
Rated 9 out of 10 by NBA LIVE 09 FUNERAL way 2 go 2k10
first i would like 2 start off saying 2k10 iz amazing live still has not yet 2 compete with 2k now don't get me wrong live 10 is a good game this year it's been the better one ever since live 07 but enough of that 2k is the game 2 go.2k10 has a lot of new features this year starting from a hole lot of dribbles moves are on this game the graphics go hell of hard i mean this can't get any more realistic they also put a lot of more shooting styles on the game of course with the shot stick, and also they have more accessories on the game to stuff 2 put on your player, and the shoes customation are alot of choices to choose from. I mean although this game is really an upgraded version of 2k9 its still beat live 10,and the reasons are 2k9 blew live 09 of the charts last year so why would the gameplay change and 2k is like 2yrs still ahead of live so come on people even if 2k10 did slack this year they will just pick it back up next year which will cause 2k to blow live back off the charts, but in overall this is a good game
Rated 6 out of 10 by Blaze8732 WOW what a waste of time and money
First off let me say that 2K10 has a bunch of new features that are interesting like the My Player mode where you can create a player and play in different modes like scrimmage games, drills, pick up games, and training camp. But other than that 2K10 is a waste of time and money the online play is absolutley horrible because it lags a lot. Most importantly it is way too easy to make jumpers and drive the lane even on hall of fame mode. Take this review as a warning please do not buy NBA 2k10 for two reasons. Number one: Even though it has great graphics the gameplay is still bad they tried to make it too realistic with the shoulder injury thing and number two if you want a game that is fun and competetive at the same time go buy NBA Live 10, but if you want a game that is fun for about one game and then just whack after that be my guest and waste your hard earned money on a trashy game called NBA 2K10. P.S Kobe has nonthing King James and also the 2010 NBA World Champions San Antonio Spurs. NBA Live 10 the king 2010 basketball.
Rated 7 out of 10 by Wiechie101 Cool but Uncool!
The cover art is cool and all cut what about the game itself. I am a big KU fan so when i play i try to get all the former KU players on the same team. I like the shooting and all that but what about when you get up close? You literally have to be standing under the basket and facing it to dunk the ball. I like it on EA live where you can start your dunks from about the free-throw line and still put it in. Not end up doing a lay-up and still sometimes missing it. Or even pulling up and taking one from mid-range. I like every thing else except maybe the commentary. They need commentary that follows up on what they have previously said, or that actually follow all the stats of the games so far. The graphics are awesome and everything else is pretty cool. But wouldnt you want to try to create a college team and try to put it into the NBA. That would be cool. I hope this review sends a message to EA to tell them on what they need to revise!
Rated 10 out of 10 by Ukcatsfan23 Best basketball game to this day.
This is a great game, and the best basketball game ever on the xbox 360. This game is very realitic, because the player ratings change daily based on whats happening in real life. Also it has great customization because you can create and edit draft classes and create and edit players. The game modes are very good, the franchise is very fun and entertaining, but the greatest feature is the my player. In my player you create a player and you get drafted by an NBA team. You go to summer circuit and then training camp. After that you either get cut or you go to the NBA. But if you get cut its not over you go to the NBA d-league. The camera focuses only on your player and the grading system is very good. Also there is so much to edit about your playerfrom dribble moves to free throws. The announcers are great and the teams play like they do in real life. This is the best basketball game out today I would suggest it to everyone that enjoys sports.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Kobe24_Lakers_Alltheway! NBA to it's best virtually!
The first day that I picked up an NBA game was 2K9, and that's when I still had a PS2. The graphics were ok, and the rosters were behind, which meant manual editing, and the commentator, Kenny Smith. Are you kidding me!? Now that I have a 360, I said one day, i'll pre-order, and I made a definite right choice! The graphics are amazing, and the sound is almost identical to the actual game! Just the thing though, the Hall of Fame difficulty seems easier than previous games. I have no idea why but it just does. The sprite slam dunk contest is amazing! I got a perfect 100 points each round on my first try with LeBron, and got an achievement that I didn't even know about! Overall, sorry LIVE fans, but 2K was the choice and still is, and BTW, Kevin Harlan really makes the game as real as possible! So those of you who can't decide between Live 10 and 2K10, go with 2K10. It's way better the instant you pick it up for the first time.

People say that this game is hard, but, I'm telling you, it isn't. Sure you might get put in the D-League when you are on the My Player mode but that's just part of the game and it is what makes it fun and what makes you want to play it more. The reason other games don't have their lasting appeal is because they get too easy. This game isn't too hard or too easy. It'll provide you with countless hours of fun. Don't buy 2K11 or 2k12 unless you want to get the rookies of '11 and '12. If you need to trade then the game has Living Rosters. Because of 2K11 and 2K12 came out, they stopped updating the rosters and making official roster updates. But, you can still trade players by yourself or you can use 2K Share, which has different rosters and teams created by other gamers worldwide. This way you don't have to do any work and you get updated rosters. Also, some gamers create NCAA teams and upload them for others to download.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Ron Ward No More NBA Live!
I have been playing NBA games since 2003 when I purchased NBA Live 2003; and since then I have been a staunch NBA Live fanboy. The past few years 2K has improved and surpassed NBA Live as the top basketball simulation. This year I switched things up and bought 2K10 and was not disappointed. From the start, the menu system is clean and new and not hard to navigate (see NBA Live 09). Gameplay is also a major leap over NBA Live, from the pre-game celebrations; to the superb commentating; to the ability of players to swerve and swoop between defenders, this game is thoroughly superior. The game is very smooth and fast-pasted so you'll stay interested. A genuine all-star weekend would be nice, but even NBA Live doesn't offer that feature anymore so we'll have to wait. The My Player mode isn't as deep as I would like but it is a fun alternative to just playing a exhibition game. Overall, I give this game a 9/10.
