MX vs ATV: Reflex
MX. VS. ATV REFLEX
This is a great game any way you look at it. The graphics are outstanding and the sound will blow you away. It is amazing If you want to beat it over and over or if you want to do a free ride. Also the multiplayer is Amazing.
I don't know what all the fuss is about. Yes, the A.I. has a tendancy to push you off course, but that's kind of the point. This game is called Reflex for a reason, you have to stay sharp at all times. If you think you can just ride on past a competitor without any resistance, you are sadly mistaken. Perhaps you would like him to smile and tell you how the dirt you've kicked up compliments you eye color, too. This is a fast-paced race/action game. Keep your wits about you. The environmental aspects are great too. Never in a Mx Vs. Atv has there been such a level of realism with the landscape, allowing you to literally carve into the earth. One of the coolest things to do is go into Free Ride mode and just do donuts on a fresh patch of mud. Simply awesome. So basically, if you're complaining about the physics and the aggressive A.I. in a game built around those exact things, this is not your style of game. Enough said
idk what theyre talkin about? i like it!!
i bought this game because i race dirtbikes and like playing racing games in my spare time. i love this game, i dont know what the other people are talking about doing spins on the ground when you get hit? thats never happend to me. the 2 complaints i have 1) the bikes on there dont sound like real dirtbikes haha. and 2) they dont have pitbikes (50cc bikes). i loved how the other MX vs ATV games had the 50s. but overall, best game ever. ever since i bought this game (shortly after its release) i havent played any other game. me and all my racing friends play this game almost everynigh on Live. so i highly recomend it, especially if you race or ride dirtbikes/ four-wheelers. the only review i agree with is the one about when you wreck, the rider goes flying haha but the controls and graphics are amazing and the a i are kind of challenging at first but for a real challenge play it in live. i give this game a 9.5/10
What a mess
Simply stated this game features the worst physics engine in the HISTORY of racing games. There is no reason for your bike or atv to be doing 720s and 1080s on the ground when you get bumped from any angle. The main challenge in all modes is to avoid the ridiculous number of accidents or getting bumped all the way off the track in out of control spins. The reflex controls and crash avoidance are nice ideas but they just don't help when the general physics system is so far out of whack. When you get knocked out of the track, which you will many times, you often get stuck on the haybails and lose all positions gained. It almost seems as if the AI is programmed to use bumping tactics to send you into spins and off the track. Not a single one of the available machines should be doing even a 360 when getting slightly nudged on the front or back end. The physics are the only real negative about the game but they are SO bad that it takes away ALL of the positive.
I think that you have to actually ride motorcycles to like this game. I think the graphics are amazing, the sound is descent, but a few things should be changed. 1. There isn't much of a difference between the A.I. difficulties. All it really changes is how reckless the A.I. is, and the higher the difficulty, the more reckless they are. 2. There are no real bike names (except for KTM). They all look the same, but they don't have real names. All the bike add-ons and things have real company names. 3. Online is great, but in order to enjoy it, you have to get into a lobby with people in it. The matchmaking finds games very fast, but most of the time, It throws you into an empty room. Other than those three things, I love the game. By far one of the best games I have ever played.
BEST MX GAME THERE IS
everyone is saying how bad the game is but all you have to do is get used to the controls and its a piece of cake.i race and ride and i know how bikes can crash and what they do when the bikes hit the ground and they can do flips or 360s or 720s depending on the eay they hit the ground. Graphics:the graphics are really good and are way better then untamed or unleashed.the bikes look real even though the names arent and the gear loos awsome but if like doing a lot of laps like i do go with darker gear because the dirt gets on it and it looks messy. also they now have the leatt and the alpinestar neck braces. Sound: the sound could be better but its come along way since untamed and just saying this game is 100% better then untamed.the 2 strokes sound the most realisic but the 4 stroke arent too far off. Physics: there good but still need work AI: the ai people or whatever their called are fast on all time but i can still get a 20 second lead on them by race end but if you get a bad start its tough cuz they know how to block pass and sometimes take you out. ground: the ruts now change which is super cool but its tough as you cant hit the same line every lap and the triples are tough on the 250s and125s . mutiplayer :its fun if you dont have x box live or ps3 live i play agaisnt my brother everyday and we have some sweet battles and we battle for the hole race . Overall: this game is sweet and if you do hve live you can get new tracks to race on and new gear which is cool.the game dose have some glicthes but dosent every game so listen to someone who plays the game enough and races in real life. so go and buy the game and just saying if you like watching the world gp chamionship black beans is making a new mx game that will be out in 2011.
This game has definetly come a long ways since mx vs atv untamed. As for me I mastered the controls on the older mx vs atv games, I stuck to the classic controls for untamed. Now they have a reflex control that takes a bit to get use to. That was the only thing that was frusturating was definetly the controls so a bit more hand eye coordination involved. The tracks are way sick, and the tricks are way awesome. Whips are bigger than ever, and you can go as big as you want in the air without it automatically kicking you off the bike, just make sure you land with the tires on the ground, lol. Also, you can save yourself from crashing if you over jump or come up short. This feature is really easy to use, it will show wich way to lean the rider to save a crash. Graphics are amazing, and a lot more challenges. Overall, its a must buy if your into racing games, if your into the motocross sport, U need to buy it! Like I said its a whole different game from the ones in the past. So get it now to master it before everyone else does.
I have had this game forever, and i love it. still havent stopped playing it since december of 2010
This game is the best of all 3 Mx vs. Atv games. The controls take a little time to get use to.The game mainly focuses on rider reflex.Rider reflex is a new feature that you to control the rider and the bike separately. The overall game play is awesome. In the previous Mx vs. Atv games the ruts(or lines)in the game would not show up in the next lap,but this one just keeps the ruts lap after lap(they also get bigger the more some one uses it).Mx vs. ATV reflex is based on real life actions such as wreckage control real life whips and lines. The starts on the other hand are much better. Before as soon as the 30 second board disappeared you knew that the gate would drop now the gate drop is random. The gear is much more life like. The Leat and Alpine neck brace are a new gear feature such as the chest protectors.Overall this game is the best MX vs. Atv game ever made now go out there and enjoy this gameing experience!!!
Perfect for a person who loves MX SX, and Off Road
The graphics- oh my gosh the graphics- games made now, 2 years after this game, are still not nearly as good. I play games other than this a lot, but when I'm bored to death, I usually come back to this game. Only flaw in gameplay is online, some people rather wreck you than race, and same with AI's on easier difficulty's. I wish you could freeride in places other than the 3 maps, but its not a big deal. The tracks are really realistic, the driving is realistic, but they can be kinda tough if you're not used to it. When I got the game for $60, heck, its the best $60 bucks I have ever spent. (I'm under 20)
