Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
i like mortal kombat but dc wo wo wo that is so different
Dont miss out
This is the fighter game of the year. When i heard they were making mortal kombat vs dc universe i was ecstatic to finally have a game were dc characters don't hold back. Then the final days ticked down and they rated it teen i was saddened, but i picked the game up anyway and this is the best fighter game i have played in years. The finishing moves our fantastic. The blood is still their along with some new features such as clothes show wear and tear the body shows bruising and the characters look so life like. The special moves are mind blowing and fun to pull off and watch. The story mode is just like a comic and explains perfectly on how these two worlds crossed paths along with why a superhero that normally wouldn't kill would through rage and how it affecting mk and dc. Also they explained perfectly on how a character like green lantern or superman would suffer power losses to not give them godly might compared to mk. I love this game and anyone who loves fighters would agree.
I have been a hardcore fighting fan since the classics and this is definitely one of thee top games in a LONG time. I have to say I think the Playstation controller is a bit more suited for the fighting games, but still works well with the 360 controller. The story mode is a lot of fun and unique, tying both sides together was done well which wouldn't be an easy task. The graphics are very well done, they definitely payed attention to the details which is nice for a change. Both MK and DC characters look and play very well. There looks and style are very accurate and the moves are just plain awesome. The sound is very crisp and clear , sometimes it is a little tuff to hear what they say when fighting just because of all the slamming and blasting going on. All I gotta say is that Captain Marvel is awesome and they have waited way to long to bring him into a game, but at least they did it just right and not some side story flop. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys MK or DC. BUY IT!
mortel kombat vs DC
This MK is really not as good as the other ones and heres some reasons why. It is not as bloody and gorey as the other ones, some of the charaters are random like Kano, also some of the charaters that they should of put in like Johnney Cage or Goro are not in it but at least they put in Scorpin and Sub-Zero. The story however is pretty good but too easy because I beat in a day. The story is this, the worlds of DC and MK are about to be desotryed because of Shon Kahn and Darksied combding thier worlds toghther. You play two storylines if you play as DC you fight Shon Kahn at the end and if you play as MK you fight Darksied. Oh ya I almost forgat about DC. The picks are pretty good they have the Joker and Batman and their moves are pretty good but they have some random people too like deathstroke. Online is fun you just fight. So get this if you want a good fighting game because Mortel Kombat is my second favoirte series in gaming
It's So Easy...
The story of Mortal Kombat vs DC is really cool. A portal opens between universes. Shao Khan and Darkseid are simultaneously thrown into said portal. The worlds merge, as do Shao and Darkseid, and the MK and DC warriors must battle each other, while trying to destroy the new enemy, Dark Khan. There are separate storys for both the MK and DC characters, so that's cool. The Fatalities are censored - just be glad I told you ahead of time - the DC heroes have Heroic Brutalities, which range from Superman freezing his enemy and smashing him, headfirst, into the pavement, to Flash punching his enemy like twenty times. There could have been more characters and more unlockables, but this is still a great game. If you are a fan of fighting games, check this one out!
I just found out that there will be downloadable content for the game such as characters and stuff until the next game is released. So, I guess that should eventually kind of help make up for the lack of unlockables features. It might be just wishful thinking, but it would be nice if we could get something like more violent finishing moves! Anyway, the game's graphics are better than ever with supreme sound effects, solid online play, and the special moves are better than ever. Special moves can be combined with other special moves and stuff. You will either think that the story mode is good, bad, and/or maybe a little short. The moves are easy to do but putting all the combos together might take a little practice. Now, if any MK fans think that adding DC characters to the mix ruins the storyline, well just remember that it is actually not going to be canon to the series and it is not a follow-up to MK Armageddon either. It is kind of like a prequel and just a fantasy. Just give it a try now, will ya?
The wait has ended!!!
When you hear that Superman fights against Flash, and Flash against Batman, you do not believe yourself. For the first time, Worlds Collide. This new game, with a new style of fighting includes a series of characters like Green Lantern, Sonya Blade, and one of the most unexpected, the Joker, (that in the movie The Dark Knight, Heath Ledger makes it one of the best performances RIP). for the first time in their lives makes alliance with Batman, and in this game is a clear example of the folly and great joke in which he characterizes the Joker. The graphics in both the PS3 and 360, are extraordinary, because this type of game is worth a good impression on a plasma display. Mortal Kombat is not left behind because it comes with characters who throughout the history of the game in his players have created an intense pleasure in the way that they end up with their opponents español. With a total of 22 playable characters, this game is one of the best fights of that Midway and Warner Bros. has created.
Rent before you buy.
I have always been a fan of Mortal Kombat and thought this would be a great game. I was very disappointed in what I got. The controls are very stiff and combat is overly frustrating even on the normal difficulty setting. The graphics, sounds and effects are nice, but if the game plays like garbage, none of that really matters. Some hardcore fans might enjoy it, but I didn't. A major issue I had is with the jumping issue. In MK1, 2, and 3, jumping didn't require you to press a button. It was just pushing up and whatever direction you wanted to jump. I really enjoyed the 2d MK games better then when they decided to make the jump to a 3d fighting plane. I also felt as though the characters were quite imbalanced. Playing against the Flash for example, makes you feel as though you are moving in slow motion and it is very hard to block (if at all) any of the attacks he throws your way. I just really feel they had a great concept and unfortunately it didn't turn out nearly as well as it could, or should, have.
Solid Fighting Game
FIGHT! This is a word you hear a lot in Mortal Kombat games, and this one is no different. I am a satisfied customer, and here is why. That word could be used to describe the reason I bought this game in the first place: not for the cheesy comic book and sketchy-styled mortal kombat story lines, but for the gameplay. The moves are solid and the physics are made to look real by the way the characters take each blow. The special moves are AMAZING and are matched with classic moves like Superman's heat vision, Batman's crazy bat-a-rangs and smoke capsules, and Scorpion's spear and teleport punches (The joker's special moves alone had me and my friends cracking up), PLUS dozens of moves I swear you have never seen before. The mid-combat mini games are fun, innovative and add a nice multiplayer element to the game making it good for playing your buddies and battling online (not to mention the lag-free environment). The fatalities were a little disappointing (especially on the DC side), but there are still a few interesting and classic ones. The rage bar adds a desperation element to close fights and can turn the tide of a battle in an instant. The storyline tells you how someone like the Joker can contend with someone like Superman (which normally isn't even a fight), and I guess for a comic book it works. However, if you're looking for a good plot with turbulent twists and turns that keeps you hooked, look elsewhere. There are two unlockable characters, Shao Khan from MK and Darkside from DC. Sorry, no krypt with tons of concept art and funny vids in this one. Still, it's enough to get you to sit through the storyline to gain control of these juggernaughts. The kombo challenges are indeed challenging. I get flashbacks of playing MK deadly alliance konquest mode when I play this mode, and these kombos are even harder. Not impossible, but you got to put in some work to complete the feats of raw kick-ass. For the most part the characters are balanced. I still get the feeling that Raiden and Superman are the two favored fighters for each side because they seem to be the most trouble to contend with. Still, the kombat is intricate enough for the joker to put a cap in the head of the thunder god, so it's not a big issue for this game. The graphics are beautiful, detailed and crisp (Kitana and Sonya look better than ever), and the environments are great and interactive so you don't always finish where you started. MK has never looked so dazzling. The sound is so-so. Most of the voice acting is good (Catwoman sounds a little to eccentric with her purrs in mid-dialogue). The music fits in with the stage you play, but it didn't really impress me. Whoever did the Joker's voice deserves an emmy though (the way he giggles after blowing you up with a joker-bomb is just great). All in all, it's a solid fighting game with more pros than cons. It's a fun game with lots of stuff to figure out and apply into your regime of tricks to defeat your opponent. It's not your average fighter by any means, but that's why I am drawn to it. Hardcore fighting game gurus will probably dismiss this game as a gimmick, but I see a game that has plenty of potential and will give you and your friends hours and days of play, trash-talk, and most importantly, lots and lots of fun.
YES, YES, YES and YES!!!
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!! That was my reaction when I found out Midway and DC Comics were teaming up to create MK vs. DC Universe. I've always wondered why DC never used their characters that much when it came to fighting games. Well, there was Justice League Task Force for the SNES, but other than that, not too much else. THEN THIS COMES ALONG!!! It's about damn time. Although I have some choices of my own, the lineup they have for this game is pretty good, and should satisfy every type of fighting game fan. I can't wait to duke it out using Batman, Shazam, Green Lantern and DARKSEID!!! Are you kidding me?! This game will rock! I can't wait to see what kind of unlockable "kontent" they'll have, and if the past Mortal Kombat games are any indication, there should be a TON. Maybe hidden characters, extra character skins, bonus "making-of" videos, or even a "characters that didn't make it" list. The possiblities are there, it's just a matter of time and we'll be able to play this latest masterpiece from Midway.
