Rated 6 out of 10 by S3V3N Out Dated But Still Fun
If your one of those gamers that thinks a great game is made by good graphics then this really isn't for you. The technology used is very much out dated but the game itself is descent. It's far from groundbreaking and it doesn't offer anything new but if you are somewhat new to gaming then this is a great baby step game into more hardcore titles. The game is still fun and it will pass the time no doubt but dont have too high of expectations for the game as you will be very dissapointed. 505 made this game to be just the way it is. It's not a bad game because they were lazy about making it. In fact it is a pretty solid game that was purposly made to be lacking the modern technology for a "flashback" setting if you will. This game was made to be more of an arcade style game, which in that sense, it's better than most titles available in the XBLA. If you want a break from the intense hardcore games that are flooding people's consoles, then this game is for you! Just remember, dont expect too much from it or you will be highly disappointed! Happy Gaming!

This game was not all that good, a lot needed to be improved with it but the story kept me interested the whole way through, it starts off pretty hard but after awhile it gets a bit easier. i'd recommend this game if you are the type of person who is after the story of the game

Graphics and voice acting are pretty bad. I really don't recommend this to anyone. Achievements are easy though, there seem to be glitches in the game where the counter doesn't really keep track of how many barrels or whatever I blow up so after having destroyed the same barrel 3 other times I got an achievement.

This game starts out tough...but hang in there. Make it past the first 2 levels and it becomes much easier. You upgrade your character like Dark Sector... until you are BEAST. Fun little gem that I enjoyed. Oh ya, VERY EASY ACHIEVEMENTS!

Rated 5 out of 10 by Gfresh You Get What You Pay For...Maybe Even Less
MorphX was released for the budget price of $30 and while there are certain budget releases that are actually really good, in MorphX's case you ABSOLUTELY get what you pay for. If your looking to add a very easy 1000 gamerpoints to your gamerscore this is a good pick up. Anything else...well...its very weak.
MorphX has you play as...someone (I cant even remember if they say his name or not...boy we're off to a good start) who has some type of infection that has him slowly changing into a alien/monster. You then try to figure out exactly why this is happening to you, while at the same time there is an alien invasion going on and blah blah blah. Its not in the slightest interesting and very poor told so lets move on...
Gameplay - This is a VERY plain and basic 3rd person shooter. It is litterally move from point A to point B and shoot/kill everything in your path. As you slowly turn from human to monster you get powers like "rage" mode, "alien" vision mode (which is just a night vision mode), a shield power (which even using the shield to block shots you STILL lose life), etc, and to be honest they barely add anything to the already plain gameplay. Nothing original here but what IS here is AT LEAST playable.
Graphics - MorphX can EASILY pass for an original Xbox title. There isnt one thing that makes it look like it should be on the 360. Character models are very average looking with pretty poor detail, enviornments are in the same league with boring level design, and the aliens look rather generic or look just plain uninteresting. Anyway you slice it the graphics are poor for an Xbox 360 game.
Sound - To be honest music is either non-existent or barely audiable to the point where you wont remember one single track. Voice acting isnt great though it isnt too bad. Again, its servicable. Nothing special.
Controls - If you've played any 3rd person shooter in the past 10 years then you'll know what to expect here in terms of controls. You've pick it up in no time flat.
Length - You can litterally beat it in about 4-5 hours. All in all a very short game with NO reason to replay it once its complete.
Achievements - A VERY easy 1000 points. There your typical generic achievements. Examples would be get 100 kills, complete each level, use your powers X amount of times, blow up X amount of explosive barrels, etc. Trust me, if your looking for a quick and easy 1000 points be sure to rent this one.
All in all even for the budget price of $30 MorphX isnt really worth it. I'd say wait until it drops to $20 (or even lower) if you wanna try it out or add that quick and easy 1000 points to your gamerscore.
