Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia
Saldy, its scary how bad this was...
I know, I know, It sounds cool and you hoping for some good mindless fun, but its just not here. I read the reviews warning me, but I thought, "Hey for that price ($6 used now) even if it is half way decent I will be happy". I should have listened....I was really longing for some fun B-movie action (remember Zombies ate my Neighbors?). The Characters basically have one useful melee move that is slow and poorly timed, which makes for a very boring time. Stay away, waste of money and time even at the under $10 price.
This game is pure garbage. My friend and I played it, and I got bored instantly. The weapons are stupid and obnoxious. This game is more better for the kids. It shouldn't be rated T. It is far too childish for even teens. I would leave this game for the little kids to play.
have you ever wondered what it would be like to be stuck with a nerd, a jock, a drama queen, and a goth girl during a zombie apocalypse? well now you can. this game is a great combination of humor and great gameplay. not only are the monsters and characters funny, but they are quite challenging. i would recommend playing with at least 1 friend because it gets quite difficult solo. you can run around and collect items to upgrade your weapons and you can use nail guns and fire grenades to pierce and burn your enemies. a definitely worthy to play game if your into the "upgrade your items" type of game, as am i.
Monster Madness battle for suburbia gameplay.
I enjoy this game so much and i really recomend this game to whoever loves monster killin. This game is a 4 player coop that you can play adventures with, play against each other on the XBOX360 or online. In adventure mode, you go all around the town of Suburbia battling monsters to save suburbia.
its cool but it ends so soon but some of the parts like larry tools helping and he is the bad guy i mean is just not good
WARNING! Do not play this game if you want a gorey and bloody monster fight. This game is only for people who are ready for a good laugh with cartoon graphics. Along with the cartoons graphics comes a messed up twisted story-line. The story-line is the most unique out of all that I have ever encountered. It makes absolutely no sense at points but somehow, the dry-humor thrown into it makes you want to see what will happen next. It almost sucks you in without your consent. The game achieves this because through-out the game the game creators will throw in some of the most far-fetched monsters like fire imps and aliens, then in the next room, there will be ghouls and werewolves with some robotic samuries thrown in there. The rag-doll effects in this game are ridiculous too. But the jist of the game is that you and/or your friends play as 1 of 4 teens. A Geeky kid, a gothic girl, a skater kid, or a ditsy blonde who are responsible for saving the world with the help of some bad mother of a biker who builds your character's new weapons. Their super cheesy comments get annoying and make you laugh at first but you will want to turn their voices off by the end of the game. However, if you are someone who likes music in their video games, it seems like there is a different sound-track every room and some of them sound really nice. The controls take only the first level to get used to and there isn't anything special about the interface. So if you have have some friends who are ready to play a big joke of a video game for some laughs, this game gets that done for a small price.
Fun for a party.
As the headline stats, it is only fun for a group of people 2-4, as playing it one player changes the type of the game to 3rd person and it just isn't as fun. The length and originality of the game is what brings it out, it is a fun hack and slash game that has diversity in its weapons and enemies. The storyline is lacking and the quests are a repetitive killing and gathering. The ability to upgrade weapons is a very good pro, because throughout the game you will gather parts and use them to upgrade your weapons. The dialog is very stereotypical and is lacking humor, but it doesn't usually ruin the gameplay. The controls of the game are pretty good if you get used to them, but then again they change if you play one player or the rest of your party dies. Another thing to add is the camera angles, I have played many games that the camera angle completely ruins the game, but this game was not so bad, but I have only played with one other player. Also, the interface sometimes gets annoying because the arrows leading you can get hidden behind a characters health bar, but that is a very minor issue. Pro: Loads of diverse weapons and monsters, long, good for parties. Cons: Bad dialog, needs more than one local player, repetitive kill/gathering. Overall this game is good, but you need others to play with you to unlock its full potential.
