Windows style user-interface is unfortunate
Windows style user-interface is unfortunate. Dialog boxes pop up and the user must move a pointer over buttons to select them. This must be a cheaply done port from Windows. To make matters worse, the game often fails to register that the pointer is over a button - you have to move the pointer away and back again to get it to register. For younger players this is more then a minor annoyance because they will need the help of an adult. Something that would have been trivial to fix has seriously degraded and slowed down the game play several time during each turn. The designers should have done an XBOX-style user interface and used the controller buttons properly: (B) for back (A) for accept.
The music is extremely repetitive "light jazz"/"elevator music". The spoken narration is repetitive too.
Monopoly is a fun game and the fun survives the bad UI. We are accustomed to working around the UI and we still play it all the time.
If the game's makers care about their reputation they would provide a downloadable patch to fix the UI problems.

... Really?... *throws chair*
The music's annoying. The computer cheats when losing badly. Game gets incredibly frustrating. Good if not playing with only computers. Multiplayer's fine. no worth $30. Go buy resident evil or Jak & Dax'. Not this... Nope... Stop.

Very unimpressed
I was very unimpressed with this game. Yes, it is fun to play cause it bring monopoly to life but the computer obviously cheats on more than one occasion. And its very hard to win against the computer. You can own almost every single property on the board and still the computer player will not land on any of your property. They will either roll and the computer will move too many or they will land somewhere that they make money. I also noticed how mortgaging property with the computer they will get more money than what they are supposed to. I would not recommend this game to anyone unless you have 6 hours to sit down and if you have that you may as well just play the regular game that way no one will cheat without you being able to do something about it. One thing I did find helpful if you're playing with a group and the computer has the upper hand and you land on a property that could land you bankrupt, instead of mortgaging properties and selling houses just sell the houses first then trade the rest of your money and property to someone you are playing with for an off property from the other person. That way the computer doesn't get all your property. Thats about the only way to win against the computer.

A very fun family game to play
This is an awesome game. It really brings the game to life. The only good about the game is that I only played two games and I already got like ten achievements! So it's not very challenging. But other then that it's a very fun and great game. They actually brought the monopoly guy to life! Another thing is that the animation is awesome. They make cool and fun themes for the board like the future and candy themes. The game feels more exciting than the regular board game with music too. Also what's great about this game is that you don't have to do that pesky and evil math! I always didn't like math and never will. But this game does it for you. No more adding up how much money you have to collect, or give someone. My last thing to say is that the graphics are awesome to! It's not the best but its better then most game. All around monopoly the video game is great!

not a bad game
This is not a bad game. Why does everyone think everything has to be catered to xbox live. Get some friends and enjoy games. I can't stand everything being catered to xbox live. The best times and games are the multiplayer same screen co-op like dark alliance, ultimate alliance, gears of war, halo even though its split screen, dungeons and dragons, and many others. Because of live they don't have excellent co-op games anymore. They have the war games, but i never really got into them. Monopoly party was the best monopoly game, but this one is almost as good. I recommend this game to friends and family. I've been a gamer for 26 years and xbox live is killing great games as developers care more about microsoft making more money charging to use live and sharing the profits other than the real gamers who have friends and family that care less about playing online.

Its Ok could have been better
I just got this game a few days ago, even though the game is good and fun to play with 2-3 other people, I was still expecting a lot more. Before it came out I was expecting it to be a Monopoly version of Mario Party, but its nowhere near that. They do have a version of the game you can play that is similar to a Mario Party mode, it has mini games, and you try to screw everyone else over, but besides that thats about it. The other playable version on this game is the classic version, and its just that. The classic version follow all the roles as the old school board game. I tried change the options in the game just to find out you can't, only gives you the option to control sounds and things like that. There may be a way to modify the roles to your liking, but I haven't found it yet. It is a good game and I'm glad I got it, I was just expecting a lot more.

Good Family Game Bad For us Xbox Live Heads
I was under the impression that this game was going to be for xbox live to challenge other people on live, but they didn't do that. This monopoly game is good, but you earn achievements way too quick. I personally like a challenge in a game like this not to get 15 achievements in one shot, it's ridiculous. Not being able to play other people online just makes this game a regular local multiplayer. They should have done a better job. I guarantee a lot of people would've bought this game if it was on live. If you want to buy it just for a family game, go ahead, but as far as all you people that wanted to know if monopoly was for live, sorry people, not going to happen this time around. I mean even though I'm saying something negative about the game, don't get me wrong. It's really fun for like a friday night with your friends and all.

No Xbox Live Multiplayer???
It seems that this game would be a great one to have for Xbox Live. Unfortunately, they've failed to add that feature! But don't worry, they've certainly added some local multiplayer for the very few people who still go to each other's houses to play a game. But for the vast majority of us, we enjoy the conveniences of Xbox Live allowing you and your friends to remain comfortable in their own homes and yet are still playing together! So the makers made a big mistake for not including Xbox Live on this if you ask me...

This game has no online play!
Yes, the case does say XboX Live on the front but on the back it says "Achievements "Friends" it does not say multiplayer which it would need to say for their to be online play... The game is still going to be mad fun though because it is an easier way to play a classic board game without all of the annoying pieces and cleaning up afterwards.

There IS A Multiplayer Function
Read the back of the box guys... multiplayer on XBOX Live with paid subscription (As in, your XBox live account). Trust me, it's a feature they wouldn't have released it without..
