Metro: Last Light
Very little roam freedom. Restrictive gameplay.
This is a game that I very much looked forward to but was disappointed when I played it. Not to say its a bad game but it's not for me. Most of the game theres a guy with you who does not shut up. His constant observations and ramblings get really tiresome. There are constant cut-scenes holding you by the hand and leading you on. When traveling, theres really nowhere to go but where the game leads you. You really have to enjoy a stealthy approach to appreciate this game. The graphics are very nice. Being a Crysis 3 kinda gamer, I like to be able to roam and approach situations my way but with Metro, there is none of that.
Well first off this game was pretty good starting with some weird looking creatures and then getting held hostage by russians then escaping and it felt like call of duty and then the weird scorpion spider things appear and its a heck of fun over time ive been better at reviewing and this game was a good game but the lasting appeal isnt so great maybe if they would have applied a multiplayer mode it could have been better
I have always loved the metro series
I first saw this game at E3 a while back and i did some research into it and i found Metro 2033 and I've been hooked ever since. The game is really for those that like the post apocalyptic type of atmosphere and survival vibe in games. The only thing that I didn't like is that it was frankly a little to easy compared to its predecessor. Other than that this game is amazing.
Fantastic FPS hybrid
Last Light focuses a lot on the storyline and wants players to connect with the protagonist beyond your typical FPS. This is not to say there isn't a lot of shooting and fun toys to kill things with, but this is only a part of the game instead of the entire experience. Stealth is also a significant mechanic in the gameplay being that ones timing may mean the difference between life or death. The game at this point is a little rough with minor sound and graphics glitches here and there, but nothing a future patch and added attention to DLC won't cure. Adding multiplayer in some fashion wouldn't hurt either. Bottom line is that I specifically made the effort to write this review because the game is well worth the play despite these minor issues for those who want a FPS that's more than just run and gun.
I loved it. The horror was awesome, and storyline kept me interested. Only problem I had was, were the game saved your last location, and a few glitches with your character, but other than that a great game.
NOT FOR KIDS
There are some scenes in this with nude lap dances and s&x that is very graphic. Not for kids at all. But,,,, if your old enough it's a pretty good game. Not for the halo crowd nor the COD crew.
Awesome but short
this was a amazing game and was a good change up from all the other games out there. i was amazed how good the graphics were and the sound was awesome throughout the whole game. but the only problem was i beat the game in 12 hours and i was kinda just chilling through the game. If your looking for a great horror/survival game this it it!!
I really like this game a lot, the story is amazing and the gameplay is fantastic. Very well made game.
This game is magnificent
This game is super fun and definitely a thriller FPS. It is super addictive and the story is excellent. The sound was a little poor when characters talked but other than that the game is amazing. I would highly recommend this for all gamers although kids might find some things a bit disturbing.
Now in my top 3 for the Survival/Horror genre
First off if you haven't played Metro 2033, do yourself a favor and play that first....
The Good: Metro Last Light nails intense survival gameplay and immersive storytelling like no other game 4A studios did an amazing job from start to finish with every ounce of detail and depressing atmosphere, awesome weapons, linearity with purpose, and still somehow plenty to explore. I've not been so sucked into a story in a very long time
The Bad: If you played Metro 2033 you know that the A.I. was broken, but in my opinion it made the game so much better, one wrong move and it was game over, in Metro Last Light ( and im guessing to try to bring to a more mainstream crowd), they dumbed down the A.I. for the human enemies you face, ALOT. It's kind of sad and definitely took away from a nearly perfect game.... and the only reason I gave this game a 9 instead of a 10.
