Product Details:

Written by active U.S. Tier 1 Operators while deployed overseas and inspired by real world threats, Medal of Honor Warfighter delivers an aggressive, gritty, and authentic experience that puts gamers in the boots of today's most precise and disciplined warrior. Medal of Honor Warfighter is an up close and personal look at today's battlefield and the fight against the ongoing global terror threat.

Following on the heels of 2010's Medal of Honor that took the game series out of World War II and introduced players to today's most elite U.S. warriors, Medal of Honor Warfighter takes players out of Afghanistan to continue to experience gameplay missions with a dotted line to real world incursions. This is Tier 1 on a global scale, featuring real world hotspots and (in multiplayer) features international Tier 1 Operators.

Medal of Honor Warfighter tells the story of U.S. Tier 1 Operator, "Preacher" as he returns home from overseas only to find his family torn apart from years of overseas deployment. Trying to pick up the pieces to salvage what remains of his marriage, Preacher is reminded of what he's fighting for - family. But, when an extremely deadly form of explosive (PETN) penetrates civilian borders and his two worlds collide, Preacher and his fellow teammates are sent in to solve the problem. They take the fight to the enemy and do whatever it takes to protect their loved ones from harm.

KEY FEATURES

  • Dotted Line to Real World Events - From rescuing hostages in Abu Sayyaf's stronghold in Basilan, Philippines to assaulting Al-Shabaab's "Pirate Town" on the Somali Coast, gamers step into the boots of Tier 1 Operators as they hunt down the global threat of PETN. Medal of Honor Warfighter is the only game that gives players a view into these real world events and lets them experience the action as it might have unfolded.
  • The Power of Frostbite 2 - Leveraging the power of the ground-breaking Frostbite 2 engine, Medal of Honor Warfighter delivers incredible video and audio fidelity to enhance the intensity of the battle and deliver this year's most authentic war experience.
  • War is Personal for the Entire Family - Medal of Honor Warfighter goes beyond the battlefield and reveals the heartbreaking side of war, told through the eyes of military families. With a story written by Operators from this community, Medal of Honor Warfighter unveils intimate insights into the sacrifices of the warriors on the ground - and their families.
  • National Pride Online with Global Tier 1 - Internationally, allied military forces also possess their own elite units with similar capabilities. With Medal of Honor Warfighter gamers can represent their nation's Tier 1 Operators on the global battlefield. For the first time, the Medal of Honor brand introduces multi-national Tier 1 blue-vs-blue team play where the world's best of the best warriors go head-to-head in combat. The game features 12 different Tier 1 units from a variety of nations including the British SAS, Australian SASR, German KSK and Polish GROM.
  • One Studio, One Vision - Developed by Danger Close Games in Los Angeles, California, Medal of Honor Warfighter sees the return of key development leads who helped reboot the multi-platinum hit in 2010. The core team is bolstered by industry veterans who hail from DICE, Treyarch and more. Together, this team is united behind a single vision for the game - authenticity, respect and honor for today's warfighters, with real emotion, real threats and a game designed to highlight the extraordinary nature of the material.

Game Informer Rating:

Rated 5.0 out of 10 by Game Informer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from underrated I've now replayed this game 3-4 times, it's a great game the game play is great, I like being to switch from semi to auto fire even in a video game I don't like wasting bullets. Dice did a great job with the car chase sequences and the hide n seek car scene so well I'm surprised they haven't put together a car game or more car chase scenarios based off of MOH Warfighter. Check it out!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good game but not without its issues Overall I did like this though there are several issues with it, either in the campaign story or with glitches. As for what I did like about this game, the graphics are real good. In some of the cutscenes the characters look like they are not CGI but darn near real. The single person campaign is much longer than its predecessor which makes it feel worthwhile. Also with the campaigns you get the chance to do more than just run around and shoot people which is a nice change of pace. Now, for the issues with this game. For starters, part of the story in the single person campaign, at least to me was not needed. While it is not something you play though but only see during cutscenes (I'm not saying what it is as to not spoil it of those that have not played it) and I know why it was added, it just seems like it was forced into the game and totally unneeded. Also, and this is a HUGE issue with this game, there are TONS of glitches in it. there are missions you cannot get through without going back and clearing your cache and starting the mission from the beginning which is a huge issue. It has the feel of a rush job with some of the issues it has, which really takes away from some of the enjoyment. Overall, for the price you pay now for this game used I would say to grab it and give it a whirl for even with all the issues and unneeded stuff in the game it is worth the price. I would of hated it if I got it when it first came out but for what it cost now, I can say I liked it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Multiplayere dead Overall I thought it was a good game but no one is online. I found one server with 3 other people on it. Though the game has a single player campaign, it only lasts 8-10 hours depending on difficulty. That's it. Don't recommend this to someone who is looking to play online.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Great Military Shooter Title: Medal of Honor Warfighter Genre: Shooter Rating: 6/10 Singleplayer: It is short and sweet. This campaign is a lot more realistic than Call of Duty. Unfortunately it only takes around 5 hours to complete. Gameplay is nice and smooth. The ending was one of the best. Multiplayer: Nothing that innovative here, There are different classes that provide different experiences. Overall, it is your average multiplayer with your standard modes. Graphics: They are some of the best graphics I have ever seen on the current gen. You must download the 2GB HD texture pack to make it worth it. Final Verdict: It is worth the $9.99!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from it's ok...just ok the graphics and sound quality are amazing but, the campaign is very easy and short and lasts only about 2-3 hours.it's also just a little bit boring because a lot of parts in the gameplay are to scripted making it feel more like a movie than a videogame.i've gotta say though there are a few very exciting missions and the voice acting is great. the multiplayer is good but not good enough for me to actually spend a lot of my time on.i also stumbled on a problem where I wanted to replay a mission on a higher difficulty but the only option I had was to play it on easy.but for $12.99 it's a good game to buy, but if you're looking for a great shooter don't expect anymore than a cliché average shooter that we see all the time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not worth it... Honestly, Medal of Honor should give it up by this point. They keep trying to knock Call of Duty off its pedestal, but they try to do so by mimicking Call of Duty, and they don't do it well. If you are considering buying this game, don't, I recommend you pick up a Battlefield or Call of Duty game because they have much better online gameplay than Medal of Honor, and they have a lot more innovation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Uuugh I was bored one day and decided to play this since it was brand new and sealed but also cheap from my local gamestop. Now I know why the brand new game was only $20 and not $60 about a month after the game was released. When it comes to the shooter genre this game is just awful. When I didn't have to restart the game or levels because of the game not loading all of the content properly or lagging the first thing that came to mind is the shooting is very inaccurate and the player movements felt forced. This game felt very choppy like it was a quick rush job. Mediocre graphics, and terrible gameplay. I would strongly recommend sticking to the battlefield or call of duty series'.
