Major League Baseball 2K13
Dont listen to everyone else
Mlb 2k13 is a lot similar to last year but it is still an awesome game. Of course its not as good as the show but us xbox people dont have access to the show. Everyone go buy it thoough. Go D-Backs !!!
Just to sum my whole rant that I do not want to go into, I will NOT be buying another MLB game until 2K stops making it OR they drastically improve. NBA is awesome but MLB is on the other end of the 'timeline'. COMPLETELY SUCKS, AND GETS OLD.
MLB 2K13 is the same as 12. The only difference is the updated rosters. If you really want baseball get a PS3 and buy The Show.
Best pitching controls and commentary! A season wo
I've played this game for a few hundred hours already, and I will continue to enjoy it throughout the 2013 MLB season. The pitching controls are still top notch; the commentary with Gary Thorne, Steve Philips, and John Kruk is thoughtful and caters to individual accolades of many of the players in MLB.
This is the most bug-free, smooth version of MLB2K to date, and I've played through the entirety of My Player, Franchise, and have logged several matches online. Each mode works incredibly well, and all of the achievements are fun and some challenging to obtain.
I would recommend this game to all who enjoy baseball! The game is great for beginners, all the way through experts, featuring modes Rookie through Legend. You can even tweak the difficulty to your liking, and it doesn't effect achievements.
We all did a fun test. We switched from last years version to the new one....................... 2 out of 20 guessed (I think) right. It is the same...exactly the same game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tthe only thing different is, more flaws. The crazy thing is, they were in the last one. Nothing has been fixed. Nothing has been changed. The producers who made this game are pretty much laughing if you buy it. I will NEVER buy another game made by this company. It is a slap in the face!
Great game for everyone! Good graphics and sound, the same as 2k12 but i liked 12 a lot. It is really fun to play.
Oh 2k screwed up again....
Just like last year. Switched up cover, commentary added a few lines and music changed. Roster just updated. Nothing new. Nothing new.
Buy 2k12, or a Playstation
If you're looking to buy a baseball game, do not purchase the newest installment from 2k sports. Instead, you can buy the 2k12 version, and it is the exact same game for a fraction of the price. I bought 2k12 when it came out for $60, and I bought 2k13 for $60, and they are identical. The only updates was the case cover (which actually looks surprisingly similar), the music, some in game artwork, and some player stats. The main menu screen and in game dashboards are even identical. None of the glitches are patched up, and some players, who spent the entire 2012 season with a different team than 2011, still have their pictures from 2011 up with their old team (Ichiro is wearing a Seattle Mariners cap). I am a huge fan of baseball and baseball video games. I have bought a baseball video game every year since 2001. I am no longer purchasing 2k baseball games. I am even making sure that I buy a ps4 instead of the new xbox so that I can purchase MLB the Show instead of 2k's next installment, which I am sure will be another huge disappointment.
Overall pretty good
Exactly the same as 2k12 for the most part it is still a good game. The soundtrack could have more songs besides ten(i could be wrong about that #). Overall the soundtrack is good and the game play is fine so i recommend this game just not for 60 bucks.
MLB 2K12 part 2
After my 2K12 game went kaput I picked this one up. To my surprise after playing it for a bit I realized it was pretty much the same game with a few roster changes. Nothing when it comes to gameplay, graphics or sound have been changed at all. Heck, even the same generic minor league guys have the same names and on the same teams that they were the previous year. With the exception of the rosters for the MLB teams (mentioned already) and the new uniforms and league for the Astros this game is nothing more than a patch update for last year's game that you have th plunk down good money for. I wonder if they (2K) even bothered to do anything with it before a month or so before they released it because with it being the same as last years nothing shows that they did. Save your money and get last years game and just update the rosters if you do not mind having the Astros still in the NL.
