Rated 0 out of 10 by Kire Give Me A Better Game; Not Cheap Trinkets...
Not sure about most of you folks, especially those who are hardcore LOTR fans, and I do enjoy the lore and books, but it just seems this is a high priced trinket instead of giving consumers something they can actually use/get more from. Let me explain... I think better items to include in these CE or LE editions would be otherwise UNOBTAINABLE actual IN GAME content, like an ARMOR skin, avatar outfits, weapons, etc. I think we all know these things like a quiver and arrow case to 'store' your game is pretty useless, and for sure is not exactly a 'high quality, well made' product. Yes, they are offering the avatar skin/outfit, of which I have yet to see an image of, but does that justify the $140 price point...?! Not for me, that's for sure. But to those of you who enjoy LOTR to that extent more power to you and best of luck. I hope it meets and exceeds all your expectations. My best!
Rated 7 out of 10 by Chuck1817 Worth a playthrough
I love LOTR and collector's editions, so when the pics came online for this i couldnt wait. First, the game, solid story, good cut scenes, awesome that you have the RPG options without the RPG boredom. The graphics are a bit behind during gameplay, but the cut scenes look real nice. The AI can be glitchy at times but not too bad. If you love LOTR its worth a playthrough but I doubt I would finish it 3 separate times (ive had it since it came out and only beat it with the ranger). Especially with the price at $20 its worth a purchase and a play. The story adds depth and ties into the films/books/ however you came to this world, It gives the great eagles their place in the light that the films neglected and the dragon is awesome. Now the CE swag. the art book is an art book, nothing special. The avatar gear is lame looking. However, the map, is printed on cloth, looks nice, could be a bit bigger but its a fair size and with the arrows acting as a hanging/weight point it hangs nicely on the wall straight out of the box. The quiver is awesome, its alot better material/construction than i expected and being i am an amateur archer i started using it as my quiver when i go to the range. The strap is a bit flimsy but holds up, the front pocket is a bit slim but it is designed to only hold a book and game, but the main body is pretty solid construction. I am hunting for another quiver from the CE so i can modify its shortcomings and use it full blown. Either way, it looks awesome on the wall next to Anduril and the Witch-King sword. So all in all if you can get the CE do, if not at least play the game once. Or once with each character.

I mean I am a die hard LOTR fan, but I am a bit dissapointed. Wheres the in game content? Like a Golden bow, or like with halo reach, when you got a flaming helmet. I still havent seen that avatar skin. But I REALLY want that bow.

Rated 10 out of 10 by MuscleHead007 Pretty fun game.
I just got it from my GameStop, and I'm not going to lie. It's appearing to be a fun game so far. The first cutscene's pretty cool.
Rated 0 out of 10 by mattimusrevived this is a pretty cool collectors edition.
it comes with a full size arrow quiver that doubles as a case for the game. though the game is questionable looking.
