It's a Lego game, which means it's going to be quirky and cute, but it's especially good with the Pirates of the Caribbean. Fun game with exploration and lots of hidden goodies to find. I bought this to play with my girlfriend and we both loved it. The gameplay is mostly platforming, which this game does pretty well. The combat is pretty simple one button attacking to fend off basic enemies, but that's okay because the exploration is what makes the game. There is puzzle-solving and platforming goodness that combines to make a really entertaining game. Once you play the storyline there are plenty of characters to unlock and other things, if that's what you're in to. Overall, I would recommend giving this a try, especially at the $20 mark it's at now. My only problem is that it feels somewhat short and if you don't want to go back and unlock extra stuff then when you beat the plot it's over for you. However, don't let that seem like a downer. This is a great game, check it out!

I have always loved LEGO I build LEGO but not play with them like I'm 5, but Lego makes it seem like you are really with them even if you 5 or 50. Lego has always brought my expectations higher every time except Lego Indiana Jones 2 The Adventure Continues because I thought it was almost a waste of money but that is only my opinion so no booos please. I love how over the years they really have made the graphics look better and made the characters have more movement and motion that make them seem like real normal people that can move like a normal human. So to get to my conclusion, i love Lego you should get all the games even Lego Star Wars 1 ( Not in stores only on this website or maybe eBay or amazon) that is available on PS2 and the original Xbox. I can't wait till it comes out in 27 days. I Love Lego and I hope people that read this get all the Lego games that they can Microsoft is better go Xbox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got hooked on the LEGO games when they released the Star Wars ones but started loosing hope after Batman and Indiana Jones, They just weren't as fun. I didn't even bother with Harry Potter, though now it's looking like it will be worth it. I decided to get this game for my girlfriend for her birthday, even though I was still letdown with all of them after The Star Wars games. I must say that I like this one more than Star Wars. The game play has been refined over the years, though I've experienced some glitches at the end of levels that halt my progress entirely, forcing me to start over. Thee are so many things to unlock that it will be a long time before you run out of things to do. The sounds are really good for this style of game, even though the voices are just grunts. Graphics are pretty good as well, and cut scenes are still filled with that classic LEGO humor. Overall, the lasting appeal of LEGO Games are their strong point, providing you with hours of puzzle solving and action alike for each level, especially if you want to find all the hidden items and rooms.

I picked Lego Pirates of the Caribbean up, since I had played several Lego games in the past and was looking for a fun game. When I put it in my console, and got to gameplay (funny videos by the way, just like all Lego) the first level was entertaining, amazing Lego graphics! Though something unrealistic to Lego is that their hair blows in the wind and that kind of thing. I don't really care about that, because its kinda cool. One thing I found was that the levels weren't all that fun to replay! I would be going through them trying to find one that I would want to play, but I always skip through most of them. Other than that a fantastic add to the Lego game franchise, I like the Lego games and if you like them too you should pick this up.

I have a seven year old son and we have played through all of the lego adventure games, (except Harry Potter because neither of us likes that particular franchise). The Pirates of the Caribbean movies never really yielded any great video games. And that's a shame because there is a lot of great video game material there. With LEGO coming on board to do their version and including a more realistic world combined with LEGO versions of the POTC characters, I think this is going to be a smash hit. If the developers give this game the love and attention it deserves and don't cut corners on presentation and humor, then we are in for a long enjoyable summer of co-op fun. We are really looking forward to it.

This is without a doubt, the best game in the Lego franchise. I bought this right when it came out and let me just say, I cannot say enough about this. The gameplay is SO much fun and there is SO much to do! With other Lego games out there, you might get bored doing the same things. With this game, I was never bored! It's perfect to play with a friend and absolutely perfect for ANY gamers that just love to have fun! I was very happy with this purchase and this game is on par with the greatest games of all time (my opinion obviously). Just stop second guessing yourself and buy it already!

first of all i love the lego business. i love lego games and lego bricks and im already in my teen years. this game is is the best lego game since lego star wars one and two. this game is exactly like the movies. there is hardly any flaws with this game at all. one flaw i encountered was it froze...once! it might have been because i played this game for so long. i love that it has all the characters from all the movies. if you want a game that you can play for days of fun. not only is this game is addictive and it is a lego game this game is only $50.00 + tax!!! i highly recommend getting this game and that's the truth. go get it now...get it!!!
Rated 10 out of 10 by LegoDynasty Best Lego Game to Date
I usually play RPG and FPS games but have this soft spot for the lego series and always get sucked in. I bought LEGO Pirates and have to say that with the amount of puzzles that you have to figure out to get through the levels and the detail to the movies in the game play this is by far the best LEGO game to date. I am crazy for getting all 1000 gamerscore on any game i can and if you want a challenge on getting all of the achievements then this game will suit you just fine. The achievements aren't hard they are just very time consuming. 100% worth the money to buy it new.

Okay when I heard this was coming out, I was so thrilled. So you know i saved my money, got the game and the guide, went home and started playing. I knew from the beginning this was going to be no different than any other lego game. It disappointed me but i played through the game anyway. Let me say that I was bored after 4 days of playing. If you just love lego games and will play them all day this is the game for you. Honestly i love lego games but this was not good. if i were you id wait for the price to lower to ten bucks then buy the game.

By now, you love the Lego franchise of hate it. No matter which, this title will not change your mind. Wiping everything out around you within a fivety mile radius using you tiny Lego fists, collecting studs, buying charectors and extras, and the rest of it. I at least like it, but if you have your doubts, or if your just starting to play this type of franchise, choose an earlier, less expensive title like Batman or the original Star Wars, and use those to see if you will try out Lego Pirates, in my opinion, the best title in the franchise.
