Rated 9 out of 10 by AppingnGaming Great LEGO game
If your looking for a fun LEGO game, I would recommend LEGO Batman! With it's fun-filled levels, build-able LEGO objects and crazy variety of characters, your sure to find something you like in this game! There is three sets of levels, each set containing five levels, for the heroes and the villains! After you complete a level in story mode, you unlock free play mode, which is where you are able to play with any character you want! In free play mode, you can go back through a level to get the minikits or get more studs to get Super Hero (or villain) in the level. Super hero is when you collect a certain amount of studs in one level. With your studs you can purchase new characters, vehicles etc. You can also create your own custom LEGO character to play as in a level, in custom character you can change your character's hat, head, weapon, hands and so on. So overall LEGO Batman is a great game for any kid gamer or someone who just wants to enjoy a fun game with easy achievements! :)
Rated 0 out of 10 by Lego Playa' Same Legos, Not movie series
In reading about this upcoming release in the realm of Lego based video games, I've seen that this game isn't based on the movies as Star Wars and Indiana Jones were, and we can all be thankful for that. It would be a huge mistake to do it that way, especially doing 6 levels of Batman and Robin, the worst Superhero movie sequel ever made. Yes, it will be the same lego formula, but duh, we already knew that and it didn't hurt the re-release of Lego Star Wars in the form of the Complete Saga and Indiana Jones has done just as well. Despite the similarities, this game will be different from the ones that came before it. Since these are Legos we're talking about, the graphics have been great so far, it's not like we should look for graphics rivaling Gears of War or something. Oh and if you have Lego Indy, you do get to watch a "PREVIEW" of the Lego Batman game and it looks great to me. The Lego games have been great fun so far and I don't think Batman will change that and I don't see Lego Walker Texas Ranger happening either.

I bought this game because it came with two games. I played this, and it was pretty fun for a lego game, and after beating the game I can say that it would be a very fun and challenging for a child gamer that likes legos. Once you have beaten a level you would think your done, but no. After you have completed each level you can go back and collect all the stuff that you cannot get in story mode. Because in story mode you are only "Batman" and "Robin", and in "Free Play Mode" you get all the people you need to go through special effects in each level to get the bonuses. Because once you have completed all the levels in "Hero" and "Villain" Modes, it only brings you to about 46%/100% complete. So if you like games that make you think, and are fun without the "T" or "M" rating, and graphic nature. Get this game, and you will have a good, fun time Playing "LEGO Batman" with your friends and Family.

All of the Lego games are so much fun. Lego Batman is probably my favorite. Batman and Robin have different suits that give you cool different powers. Although the graphics, background music and levels themselves are totally awesome, the best thing about Lego games is just being stupid. Beating up your partner over and over again, trying to get more coins than your partner, freezing each other with the freeze ray... this is definitely a game that is funner with a friend.
You also get to play as the villains. Poison Ivy, The Penguin, Harley Quinn all have these awesomely unique powers that are so much fun to use. Poison Ivy can blow poison "gas" and her kisses are toxic. The Penguin can release penguins that explode, and use his umbrella to glide short distances. Some villains have super strength. Others can jump higher than normal characters.
Note that this game is for casual gamers that just want to have fun, complete some levels and goof around while doing it. It is not serious and people who play games like Halo and Black Ops most likely will not enjoy it and think it is a game for "little kids."

So far from playing all the lego games this one is just as exciting and fun. Although Lego Star Wars will always be the best to me this game was great. The music for playing as a hero and villain were excellent. All the different suits you can put on were really cool to. The setting in Gotham city was just really cool from the first moment I put the game in. I would recommend this game if your a fan of the Lego games Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Neither of them were as long as Star Wars, but it can take you a long time if you want to complete it 100%. My guess is this will not be the last Lego game to come out either. I'm hoping for a SpiderMan game, seems like they are making games that they have Lego sets for already. I have yet to complete 100% of any of them and I have Indiana Jones and Star Wars both 60% done, with a little help from my brother.
Rated 7 out of 10 by doratheexplorer Lego games are stupid, that's why this game is fun
If somebody played this game the whole way through without beating up your teammates or destroying the ladder you need to climb up, this game would stink. If you do those kinds of things, you can make this game become one of the greatest games ever. Lego Batman combines stupidity, awesomeness, and strategy to make the best "family friendly" game. The boss fights are difficult, shooting your enemies until they blow up into lego bits is sometimes fun, but it lacks fun when it comes to looking around for things you need to build. You must do this quite frequently throughout the game, and it can be super annoying when you can't find the exact spot you need to dig so you can find the broken pieces to a car you need to build. That is what you need to do to get to the next area of the game, and it is very annoying. So, I just lazer Robin to death. That is what makes this game super fun. Otherwise, it can get too complicated trying to uncover what happened to that vehicle. This game could be better without it. If you are smart and can get passed that, get this game. If you want to spend the entire time betraying Robin, go ahead and buy this game. Otherwise, don't get this.

This game is excellent i picked it up yesterday and have been playing it non stop. The storyline is great because the characters can't talk but they still through in funny moments all the time. The graphics are amazing, the best of the lego games so far, and the controls are perfectly coordinated. The character list is very diverse and the boss battle are pretty challenging. The game is pretty lengthy but i could be longer. If you are a fan of at least one of the other Lego games you should definitely pick this up. I would recommend this to every person i know it is definitely one of the best action platformers out there. Also a great function of this game is the suite technology allowing you to switch between different batman and robin characters through out each level. I give it a 10 out of 10!
Rated 7 out of 10 by Vahagn A. A Fun Co-op Game
Story: Decent for a lego game where no one talks. Visuals: Everything looks good for a lego game. The camera angle can be bothersome at times. Sound: Doesn't get any better. Music from Tim Burton's Batman movie. Gameplay: Simple use of only 4 buttons. Anyone can jump in and play this game. Co-op is fun. If you play by yourself, you're gonna hate your AI companion because he's stupid. Overall: I would only recommend this game to people who wanna play some co-op. Otherwise, stay away from this game! We've had Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, and now, Lego Batman. Until now, we sill don't have online co-op. This is ridiculous. They need to make some serious changes to the Lego franchise. By the way, nothing beats Lego Star Wars. That is the most fun you'll have with a lego game.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Shawn Pickett An outstanding game, the pinacle of the lego games so far.
The lego series of games are great, the tell their stories with a tongue in cheek humor using lego mini-figs that make them very entertaining. The game is simple enough for a casual gamer to pick up and enjoy, but has enough puzzles and unlockables to satisfy a hard core gamer. This game takes it up a notch telling the tale of three different plots by three different groups of Arkham inmates in their quest to wreak havoc on Gotham city. First you play through plot from Batmans side of the story for 6 levels, then you have the option of going back and replaying the level on free play trying to unlock more items and solve more puzzles, or you can play through the plot from the villains perspective for 6 levels. A truly outstanding game and a must have for your library.
Rated 10 out of 10 by MigrainBoy161 Great for kids and adults!
I bought this game for my 4 year old son not knowing I would get sucked into playing it every night. This is a great game to play as a family or alone. It's just the right challenge level for kids and adults. The details in the game are clever and there are so many funny things that happen throughout. This game really teaches teamwork and problem solving. There are a ton of secrets that keep you replaying levels over and over. The controls are very simple. The sound and graphics are great. There is virtually no loading time between levels. The length of the levels are good and the overall length of the entire game is just about right although I wish it were longer because it's so much fun! I can't wait to play the other games in the Lego series. Buy this game, its worth it!
