Left 4 Dead
A True Platinum Hit
I just re-bought this after not playing it for quite a while and I have to say I remember why I loved it in the first place.
The gameplay is truly spectacular, the graphics are great. and the atmosphere is perfect. The idea of setting the entire game in a mock-movie is funny, but really doesn't effect the game all that much. What does effect it is the constant feeling of urgency and uncertainty. The music and sound helps this considerably. The zombies are scary and well constructed. The special infected add a lot to the game by requiring extra strategies and sprinkling in some variety. Get ready for a rumble when the Tank arrives!
This gem is best played with a friend (or 2 or 3) together where you can communicate. Teamwork is not just helpful, but ABSOLUTELY necessary. Besides the campaign there is also versus and survival which are both fun in their own right and add enough to the game to keep you going.
The only thing I have to say about the game is the length... it is simply too short and I think they could have had another campaign added without too much trouble. L4D2 tried to do this, adding more to the game and of course adding an all new campaign, however they also sacrificed the dark atmosphere.
I definitely suggest getting this game if you haven't played it yet... and also if you want to relive it!
This game IS perfection
My experience with this game is nothing less then the best game I have ever played. I've clocked in so many hours into it and had fun every time. Every game is a new experience and each one has a different set up. You never know what you're going to expect when you play a Dead-Air finale. I've come to love all the characters like I've known them my whole life. Each of the special infected have grown on me too. I played this game competitively and we rose the ranks of this masterpiece. Wondering if a tank will be around every corner is the best and most nerve racking feeling you'll ever have. The online is like a dream. It's the whole point of the game! 4 on 4 is the best thing I've heard of in a long time. You get to play as the human AND the zombies! No game EVER has done that and I think it's genius. Many hours were spent saying to my teammates whether or not I can hear a Hunter on a rooftop or a Boomer around the corner. Playing as the humans is great. The controls are great, the weapons are easy, and the game play is fun! As the infected, it's a whole new experience for everyone. You play as 4 different special infected humans and can incapacitate the humans. A Hunter, a Smoker, a Boomer, and a Tank. Coordinating attacks with your team is the funnest way to finish the game. This game has been a huge part of my gaming career and still is to this day.
Not as good as L4D 2
One day, when I went shopping, I decided to buy this game because a friend told me about this. And I have to say, the game was pretty good; right up until about a week later when I went shopping again and saw Left 4 Dead 2 in stock so I bought it. Left 4 Dead 1 was RUBBISH compared to L4D 2. The graphics, sound, and overall gameplay were all better in Left 4 Dead 2.
Best Co-op Game Ever!!!
All you need is this game, a couple of friends, an open night, and some snacks and your set for the scariest and most fun Co-op experience EVER!!! A true, modern classic. This is the Best Zombie Game ever!!! It masters co-op gameplay like never before. To survive you need a team. To stick together, to heal each other, and to shoot through hordes of zombies... This game is a true Piece of Art.
Good game the graphics a lil sucky gameplay a lil boring from time to time when u play it alot sound is OK lasting time is alright but youll get bored of it. I prefer buying left 4 dead 2 ( DO NOT BUY IT PREOWNED ITS A RIP OFF )
i love this game. It is so much fun, and i never get bored of it. It's an easy game too, and it added a lot of points to my gamerscore.
