Pays Homage To Classic Noire Films
The graphics in this game are amazing. They used real actors and put their faces on to the characters. The story features 21 cases throughout 4 desks being traffic, homicide, arson, and vice. The best of these is obviously homicide, where there is a very thought out story line about the Black Dahlia serial killer. There is a very weird plot twist at the ending of the homicide cases, but still makes its point. There are also 40 street crime side missions. These involve talking down potential jumpers, chasing a burglar down the street, and many more. The actual gameplay is very simplistic. There are vehicles which feel somewhat floaty at times, but the core mechanic is good. The gunplay mechanic is flawed. Cole will jump in and out of cover with no warning, causing you to get killed, and also very angry. Overall, L.A. Noire is a flawed game in many ways, but it still holds true to the Noire genre and makes up for these flaws with more positives. I give the game a 9/10, nearly perfect. Only a few small bugs and annoyances will interrupt you. Other than that, hope you have fun catching crooks on the mean streets of L.A!
I like rock star but this is just bad
Rock star has made many great games, and this game is ok too but the problem is that this is not a game, yes the main gameplay is choosing what to say to a person but the fact of the matter is the gameplay is broken because it does not matter what you say, the story will still go on and you will still reach the end even if you dont even listen to the story. So it fails on being a game.
The Best Detective game by RockStars
When I first got this game, I did not know if I made a good decision but, when I played it. I was absolutely stunned at how amazing the facial animation was! This game perfect for people who like detective games and the open world genre. Defiantly should get the game!
Long and complex but fun
You get a real experience in the work of a cop and csi. So much fun and it is so long with 3 discs you don't run out fast and you can also do side missions which are dispatch calls like a real cop
