Awesome and Cool combined
Once the Xbox 360 Kinect comes out my god bros and me are about to play from 1am to 1am that is how awesome it is. I hope the Kinect comes with Kinectimals because at first I thought it was stupid but after watching reviews on it I changed my mind right away and said I hope it comes with that game .
5 & 7 yr old love the game. Its a HUGE HIT!
The Good: The graphics are very nice. It has a lot of content to unlock. Its like most of the smart phones or tablets with swipe to scroll type of selection navigation. This took my 5 year old daughter a week to get used to over the Wii. The audio is also very nice. My daughter wanted the game and loves anything to do with animals. The game-play is very child friendly with picking a cub and unlocking places on the island treasure map. They train their cub to do tricks, feed it, play games, and more.
The Bad: Sometimes the Kinect interface is hard for young hands that have problems slowly moving. Some games have the same type of motion problems. Your game cub lacks customizing. She would like to dress her cub in different clothes and even die its hair funny colors or patterns. She also would like some simple dance options.
Conclusion: The game far surpasses anything out there for pet/animal games for young kid gamers. My daughter just finished it and now is replaying it with the Sabertooth Tiger cub she unlocked. My daughter can play it for hours. Its worth the money if your little one like animals or even just wants one.
Pre ordered this today
I had some game stop credit and I decided to pre order this along with Kinect. I got this so my 4 year old daughter could play. I think this will be amazing as Kinect itself will be. Just think if my daughter is playing with the tiger and the tiger is used to her and knows her and then I try to play...the tiger will not know me and act differently. This is technology...this is now. Also keep in mind that there will be plush toys that you can purchase that will be able to be scanned in by Kinect and those plush animals will be put into the game. This game may not be for everyone, but for a 4 year old girl and growing children out there, can you really argue with this game is or strives to be? If you have children or if your child or children want this...it would be a great holiday present and who knows...you may have your own kinectamals to play with.
a lot of fun
For me Kinectimals was a really fun game. I did origionally expect it to be like a regular virtual pet game which is why I got it but it turned out it was more than that and it was more fun than any virtual pet game I have ever played and a lot more active. I really loved that there were agility mini games because I like any game that lets you take you pet to an agility course and really liked that I had to do the movements to navigate the course such as jump jumps, and duck through the tunnels. My other favorite activities in the game were playing with the soccer ball with my tiger because it was just like kicking a real soccer ball with a friend without having to chase it when I miss, like in reality, playing with the jump rope, teaching the tiger tricks, and performing the tricks in mini games. I actually liked all the activities and mini games and there were plenty of them to do. Some of the activites such as petting and washing the tiger are a little difficult to do if you are playing in a smaller sized room like I was where I had limited side to side mobility and it made being able to move around to the ends of the screen very difficult. The only big problem I had with this game is that my real life dog got jealous of the tiger and couldn't be in the room any time I played with it so it isn't really a good game if you have pets that get jealous easily. I would recommend this game not just for kids but for anyone who likes pets and active games. At the time I was playing the game I also needed to build up stamina and several hours a day of gameplay with this game doing mostly soccer, jump rope, agility, and performing tricks really helped more than any exercise game I have ever played because this was more fun.
Finally, A game for kids
I have a lot of Cousins, so when this game came out i thought it would be a good thing to try it out. I was interested to see how kids could respond to this game. It turns out, it responds well, you see this game is perfect for kids. Its the type of game that can keep your child occupied for a long time, but its not for older people, because this game is trully for little children who have always wanted that exotic pet, and now can fully enjoy it.
They can play fetch, and drive a car, and pet their own animal. Its incredibly responsive and the reactions are exactly of what you get if you had an animal to pet. Its an impressive game, with an impressive attitude towards children. Its about time, a game is made JUST for Kids.
GAMEOVER for the Wii!!!
Microsoft has out did themselves with this one not needing a controller and yes it's pricey but it's has so much to offer as far as family gaming goes and it captures the full body image of the users instead of following the movement of the controller and it voice activates the console as well and puts the controls in the users voice this will give the xbox its momentum back and if it adds in other games such as sports i.e madden, live and NHL, it will definitely put xbox back in the drivers seat as far as next gen consoles go.
So darn cute!!
After researching, trying out, and discussing it with my friends and family it was decided that this game is actually pretty darn good. My five-year-old neice is nearly always playing with her little tiger and it isn't unusual to see her rolling about the floor with her pet, either.
It's got amazing graphics which they use to pretty much face slam you with their adorable little kitties, and if you get the newer version you also get a choice of panda bears, too. The best thing about this game, though, is the activities and treasure hunting that children get to do in this game.
I'd recomend this to anyone with a younger child.
That being said: if you don't mind less detailed graphics and a more cartoon-y feel, you might be just as good going with Fantastic Pets.
Pets That Really Listen To You!
This game is so cute it makes me want to have a real tiger.i know a real tiger would bit my head off and play with it like a soccer ball.so i will stick to the next best thing witch is this game.
Game works really well with kinetic.and whats nice is you don't have to come home after school and have to walk your tiger and clean up its mess! Your tiger knows your voice.so if you have friends around your tiger will listen to only you.game plays good, looks cute and a very addicting controller free game.
My 7 year old is memorized!
She has played Kinect Adventures and Kinectimals, I asked her which one she liked better, she said Kinectimals. From 1 to 10, she rates it 10. She said she loves the fact that she gets to care for her own animal. She said it is very easy to use and lots of fun, (-) the voice activation is a little difficult at times.
Great for kids who like the game "dogs"
If your kids enjoyed dogs, cats or any of the other animal games on the nintendo ds or computer they will love this. You give your animal commands or manually demonstrate them for the cubs to follow. lots of games playing fetch. Not for the hardcore gamer but great for kids my daughter has been playing it since we got it and she thinks its very fun.
