I played the game and was upset by how little story there is to the game. The cut scenes are brief and don't seem to have any emotion. Just people reading their lines. The graphics are amazing, but the sound is a bit lacking: The afterburners and missiles sound like a blender on low speed. I also was expecting to be able to fly around (which is basically all you do for the whole game) a much larger area but it's all confined to the level you're playing. It was quite challenging, even on easy mode, because it's a lot like a flight simulator game. I really didn't like the controls much with the hover and flight controls so close, and air brake closer to your main weapon than the flight controls. Also the secondary weapon above the air brake (Y button) threw me off a bit: I'd be flying, going to shoot the secondary weapon, and hit the air brake leaving me open for attack from all sides. It was more fun once I got the controls down better, but like I said, I was expecting more.
Rated 7 out of 10 by WishList pretty good game
I gave this game a 7 out of 10. It is a pretty good game because the story was pretty interesting. The levels were really short and have a time limit that gives you more points money in the end if you do beat it in the limit but you can go over just no points or money for going over. Money is for upgrading his suit and does not go past level 3 and you should be able to get it by the end of the game too. No big whoop there. I have not seen any level or stage over 14 minutes which I can recall. The first stage was pretty ugly and I say that just because he cannot fly until the next stage and even then the controls overall are not confusing at all. The targeting system is pretty automatic. The graphics and music were good but nothing memorable. It is pretty fun to fly around and the extra missions are not that hard. Overall a really short game for which you can beat in one day I did and have no regrets renting. SO IN SHORT A DEFINITE RENTAL with no regrets.

Iron Man was a great movie and has now turned into a video game. It doesn't really follow the story line of the movie but it has similar parts to it. The cut scenes are bad and aren't very fun to watch, and the animation isnt that good either. The gameplay is probably the best part of the game, even though it's not that great. The controls are easy to learn and handle but there is almost no moves for iron man to do besides shoot and do boring punches, and no one uses melee in this game so it's pointless. It is fun to fly around aimlessly but that gets boring really fast. This game is actually a challenge which is funny considering how easy it will look. The levels are really big but they are completely empty except for the groups of enemies just laying around. The hardest part about this game is fighting the enemies because there are too many and sometimes missiles come at you from every angle and you get hit constantly then die. I would say this game is worth renting but don't buy it, if you do beat it you won't want to play it again.

Very difficult yet fun game.... I have not completed it yet but it is pretty good, I have made it to mission 3, mission 2 was ok until the stark copter came in... I hit it about 100 times with my laser and it died... I thought it was invincible until then.... So do not give up on the stark copter if your stuck there.... it is possible... but long.... How do you survive him that long you say? Just fly above him and shoot down, he can't shoot lasers at you when you are above him... although he can shoot missles but they aren't enough to kill you, so do not worry about that... Anyways... I am getting somewhere in that game.... but I have a feeling it is just beggining!!! The only dislikes in this game is well... the graphics in the story parts, weird, and the voices in the missions are sometimes hard to understand due to their accents.... but over all it is good!!! Reccomend it to you! Note: Storyline is different from movie....
Rated 2 out of 10 by ty89 Big Deportment
I've been an Iron Man for years and this is the biggest deportment. I was expecting some part of this game to be kind of like the spider-man games. You know the large open areas to explore and accept mission when your ready to but this game doesn't have that at all. The game play gets boring really fast and in some levels it will just keep respawning enemies until you figure out what to do and other levels they just keep coming in waves and it's hard to tell if you not doing something right or they are meant to do that, sometimes it hard to tell and it get really frustrating. The AI is bad too, half of the time they can't move around building and other objects. the controls are not the best the buttons feel to be in right places but they are not as sooth as I extincting. there are a few things I did like about this game is the Storyline, your able to re-routing power to his life-support, weapons etc. thats awesome and the choices of abilities. It's cool to see him fly around and things but that still don't make up for lack of free roaming, bad game play, and controls. 2 out of 10

I rented this game because I loved the movie. The game could have been so much better. It seemed that all of the focus was entirely on the flight combat, so if you look at anything closely, the graphics are terrible. The controls are easy to get down, but the gameplay is the most repetetive I've ever seen. Sometimes there is like fifty rockets or missles being shot at you at one time which is really annoying because you can't really do anything against that. I did like that you can change Iron Man's suit with upgrades on weapons as well as the overall look. Being able to grab the missles in mid-air and fling them back at the helecopters was good. The voice acting is alright because it was all of the actors from the movie( I always hate it when they use randon voice-actors for movie based video games). If you like superhero games, I would suggest renting or buying the new Incredible Hulk game.

The demo of IronMan was quite entertaining and fun. It didn't take long to get the hang of the flying controlls and the action was implemented quite well. The graphics were not the most impressive I have seen but the demo got me excited enough to buy the game. The opening sequence of the game where Stark builds his first nonflyable suit was good, but after that it went into a "training sequence" to aquaint you with flying and your "super powers" and everything was going so so till I was to grab hold of drones and shown a red button, well I did it but it kept doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over. Basically this has taken a lot of oomph out the game and made me wonder if Sega used playtesters or beta testers to critique repeitive parts like this. I had hopes that IronMan would be the exception to movie tie in games and I think I was wrong. So if you want to avoid frustation you may want to rent it before plunking down the full monty. If the game experience was at least as good as the demo it might have been a different story for me. I don't like to pay to be frustrated.
Rated 1 out of 10 by EpicParodyRapBattles Never buy this game, it is awful
II bought this game in 2013 for about $19.95, I got home and put the game in my Xbox (had it for about a year) and and the game started up after the cutscene the begging started, it was kind of fun I guess, but then it went to where you actually wore the Iron man suit, it was horrible to control my favorite thing to do was kamacaze. After the walkthrough of the controls the game began, it was boring the same enimes over again, but that's not the worst of it, (I had the game at easy because I never played it before) the boss came out, it took me about 2 hours before giving up, the game never gave me any advise on how to beat the boss. Never get this game if you are a beginner, intermediate, advance , or any other gamer. Also the sounds were repetitive and the graphics were like PS1 graphics (Just wanted to say PS1 is one of my favorite game consoles, I don't hate it)

Iron Man is going ot be the best game out there for a long time. I've played the demo and it is sweet the easy mode is fun but i tried the hardest mode and i got shot like 3 times by a machine gun and I died. I like the way you can fly around and i didn't at first know how to fly i thought you used the right analog but it was the left so i was doing loop de loops for a long time. This game is going to be big and once i see the movie then i am gonna get the game. I love the way you can shoot out of your hand and i was wondering before why he had that circle on his chest but then i found out when i held down LB and released it and it shot this huge blast from the circle in his chest and it blew everything in my way into the sky. And get this you can even grab a passing by missile and throw it back at the thing throwing it. And you can grab a helicopters tail, crush the tail and the helicopter will come flying down. Well i should just shut up and let you find out how extremely awesome it is and just let you see the movie i cant w8 till friday or saturday whichever one i can go to the movies or gamestop on.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Spider-Fan One of the better movie games
Let's just throw this out there. Spider-Man 2 is my favorite movie game ever. Not only is it a good game, but it ties into the movie nicely as well. I put Iron man right up there with it. As long as you go in with the mentality of just wanting to have fun, you won't be disappointed. It's not a breakthrough in technology, although the Iron Man armor looks gorgeous as the sun reflects off of it and shows damage when you’re taking a beating. The environments are a little barren but most of the time the battles are so large scale and chaotic that you won't even notice it. Yes, the controls do take a little getting used to but they are incredibly fun when learned. The seamless transition from ground to aerial combat is great. It's also a thrill to dodge incoming missiles with your "barrel role" as well as to catch rockets and throw them right back where they came from. All in all, Iron Man is an impressive game and definitely a challenge. It's not just about dumb luck, if you lost a level doing it one way, you'll most surely lose it again if you do it the same way. The game encourages mixing up your approach. 8/10
