The game- play is nothing new due to the fact that this game is very much a clone of other games. As a third person shooter it can be enjoyable to play on that aspect, but overall the story is lacking, the scenery lacks variety, the voice acting is too bland, the gravity controls are just ridiculous, and the game lacks any innovation of its own. If you like Gears of War you might appreciate the third person shooter style, but the game lacks any kind of significant spark which keeps it from being average.
Rated 6 out of 10 by StraightEdge Good ideas, horrible execution of the fundamentals
I had to convince my friend to buy this to play with me, and I feel guilty for that, because this game wasn't worth 40 bucks. The good- The story picks up after playing 10 boring chapters, hard boss battles, and it feels like Gears Of War. The bad- It doesn't play half as smoothly as Gears Of War does. The boss battles are extremely repetitive. And by that, I mean, the same bosses over and over again. The sound is horrible. It is clear not much money, if any, was spent on mastering. I literally could have uploaded the sound files to garage band and done it myself in ten minutes. I'm not big on sound, but it is extremely noticeable at times. If you have nothing else to play, and this goes on sale for 10 bucks, definitely pick it up. If this stays at 40, don't bother. 90 percent of it's competition is worth your time first.

Inversion looks pretty sick, who doesn't want to run and gun and manipulate gravity?
Definitely agree with the others that hope it lives up to the trailer, and will not fail like Timeshift.
Definitely disagree with the ones saying it's a TOTAL ripoff of GOW.
Because of the cover system? Because of how the guns and characters are designed? Now that's just fallacious!
GOW wasn't the first game to implement a cover system.
And I see no resemblance between COGs and Inversion's characters, the COGs look like they drink a liter of steroids a day, these guys look like regular dudes. Weapons don't look anything like GOW's weapons either.
With that said, i think this game will be entertaining, regardless of it's "unoriginality".

let me first say i dont no were these 9 are coming from all this game is. is a generic gears of war except u have gravity at your disposiable the problem with it is it copies gears but its no where as smooth as gears now dont get me wrong its okay its just not one of the top tier games i save my 9 for great games this game might be worth a play through for you but wait for a price drop its okay i havent tried the multiplay yet but i proably wont the graphics are okay the mechanics are just not smooth give it a try just wait for it to be a little cheaper
Rated 0 out of 10 by MexiGamer Rip-off of Epic Games?
This really just does look like a combination of Gears of War and Bulletstorm. A guy is looking for a little girl just like how Dom looks for Maria, lava instead of imulsion!? They're using gravity just like how the guy from Bulletstorm uses his leash. They even fall in slow motion exactly like on Bulletstorm. I don't know if I'll buy this game because it looks to closely related to Epic Games, only time will tell and hopefully the become original just like Epic. Nice title though.

I purchased this game two days ago and to me it is playing like namco took everything from gears of war and added gravity, the name should be Gears of Gravity. it is a good game if you enjoyed gears of war. music gets annoying after awhile though it is challenging on the highest difficulty but I imagine lower difficulty will be good for grinding cheevos. overall good game

I like this game the graphics are good but the only problem is that nobody plays it online at all. It would have a way longer lasting appeal if people would actual play this game online. I got this game just a few days ago beat the champaign and found out nobody plays the game online it made me pretty upset but other than that its a good like game for a few days.

It looks okay, but i have said that about many games that had good potential, a recent example being Brink. I don't want to give up 60 bucks on hopes that it will be any good. I wish the best to the developers in hopes they make a good game and have success, and maybe if its any good and they make sequels, I will buy them when times get better. :)

This looks like a direct ripoff of game play from gears of war, they way you take cover to the way the weapons and characters are designed. The idea is decent but they just ruined it with unoriginal game play. If it had a totally original way of playing to interact with this new idea it might actually be worth picking up in a store.

I'm definitely not hating because this game looks very intriguing, but it looks SO much like Gears of War! It's third person, cover based, and I'll be damned if he's not using a Retro Lancer. But I love Gears so playing this will probably be very fun. Looking forward to what looks to be a good game.
