Huh...
...well let me just start by saying this game has an actual story. The story is, that the Demigod Of Rock recruits all the Guitar Hero characters to save a magic guitar, defeat a killer robot-thing, and stuff like that...it's really awesome. I will say that, in the story every character has a warrior form, attained by completing that character's part of the story. I will also say, the new quickplay is a blast, more fun than the story and dude, the story rules. It's beyond cool but, not every song is unlocked right away, in quickplay. That's right, you gotta work. Posers! However, the main attraction, is the setlist. Featured on disc, are some of the best songs for shredding including, Aqualung by Jethro Tull, I'm Broken by Pantera, Cherry Bomb by The Runaways, and more! The new guitar is small and looks like it was a prop from "This Is Spinal Tap". Also, the wings are removable, allowing you to wield...a bar. yeah, it's weird but, worth it!

Amazing but. . .
This game is awesome! Ive had it for only 2/3 days so far and its fun. But the guitar for this game is tiny, it has the same feel as the nintendo Wii one except for the fact that it looks awesome. I would only recommend the guitar bundle if you must have the new guitar or dont own a Xbox 360 guitar. the guitar hero five and rock band guitars are way better in fact of the size and feel of a real guitar (or at least for those who havent held one before) The songs list is amazing and with all the free songs you can get this game gets more challenging and fast paced. Just love it all but the guitar. And one last thing if you have the money get the super bundle as i hear the drum set is amazing but you dont get the new guitar.

guitar not good. game is awsome
The game itself is awsome. I got this for my husband because it was one that he wanted. However my suggestion is to just buy the game the guitar sucks. We have had the game for two weeks the guitar did not work. Which was actually the main reason we bought the whole set. We enjoy playing the games but my favorite guitar was the one that came with guitar hero 5. We are half tempted to buy Guitar hero 5 again so his brother can have the game and we can keep the guitar

Y?
okay everytime the new guitar hero's come out i buy the guitars......and within at least 2 and a half weeks the guitar breaks!!!!!! even this one!!! so i say just buy a Rockband guitar cause i bought the first rockband guitar and it works!!!! all the same happened with the guitar hero guitars....the strum bar breaks and im like i wasted 99$!!! and it makes me so angery!!!!!! so i say stick with rockband gear it works better, longer, and the strum bars won't give out.

Great game, a little bit too long though.
After totally milking the Guitar Hero series, most fans stopped liking Guitar Hero. Activision promised not to make so many games, (7 GHs in 2009?) and so far, so good. Only GH6 and DJH2 came out this year. Good. The game starts out with the Demigod of Rock battling The Beast, a huge robot made of amps and such, and he is losing. He is turned to stone, and his guitar is lost somewhere. That's where you come in. You have to take the role of 8 characters, turn them into Warriors and have them fight the beast. Yu start off with Johnny Napalm, who is my favorite of the 8, and play a few songs. Once you beat those, Johnny becomes a Warrior and is now a Nightcrawler-esque monster. Each warrior is granted a power which affects the game play of songs. For example, when Johnny is a Warrior a little Mohawk above the multiplier fills up for every second you're 3 or 4x multiplied. If it fills up a star is added to your total. You can do this five times, getting your star rating a 8, minimum. This only works for the encore, but then if you finish the encore, you can go back, play any song and you can have the power for those songs. After that, you do that for three others (Judy Nails, Echo Tesla and Austin Tejas). You get their powers and turn them into a Warrior. After that, you combine all four powers in one song, (actually "seven") 2112 by Rush! You play each section of the song like it's its own song. It gets kind of crazy, with the powers going off and all around you. Then, after beating that, you do that again, only instead of 2112, you battle "The Beast" with all 8 powers. After beating him, you unlock the Demigod of Rock's songs, (which are hard) and find out that you only did about 1/4 of the game. Now, you have to go back, use all 8 powers for all the songs, getting a maximum of 40 stars per song. This is the first bad part about this game I found. You have to repeat each and every song again and get it basically perfect. Yeah, try doing that with This Day We Fight! By Megadeth. Whatever. Now the only other bad part about this game is the soundtrack. Some will love it, some will hate it. Some are OK with it. I'm in the OK zone, because most of it is really metal. I don't like metal. It doesn't taste good either. But, that is a minor setback for me. I also got this when the demon wings were in stock, but those almost always fall off, so i usually use the red ones that came with the game. All in all, the game is great, but you don't need to buy the bundle if you have a guitar already. It's not a huge improvement over the other. I actually prefer Rock Band's because of the small frets; I like to use those during solos. Well enough out of me! I give this a 9/10.

Surprisingly good.
I bought this mostly for the guitar controller, so I could play rock band 3 with a functioning controller, but when I started playing it, I felt like I was playing Guitar hero 3 again, it's a very fun arcade game, I really liked the quest mode, the story is super stupid, but really fun, the soundtrack is probably the best GH soundtrack since 3, even if you don't like most of the songs, they're very fun to play, I was surprised by how fun "Dance dance" by Fallout boy was to play, considering how much I hate Fallout boy, and "Motivation" by sum 41, is also super fun, and of course the controller, the controller is probably the best guitar controller out there, it's very responsive, and if you're as vain as I am, the rad design is a plus. It's just a good time, it won't win any awards, but if you're looking for a good guitar game, then this is probably what you want, if you're looking for a fun party game, get Rock band 3,

All I got to sey is fun fun fun
Okay all the guitars Hero's suck really bad BUT except 1 2 3 and warriors of rock. Ok the sad part was I was obbsesse with rock band but untill rock band 3 came out its a BIG wasit of money nothine but 40's and 50's music now that's boring. After that I switch to guitar hero warriors of rock and it's epic it's just fun insane the characters turn to evil scary monsters I like Itt and it's has alot of good music and DLC and ok I know rock band has alot of DLC but when ever you play the songs on rock band the graphics DO THE SAME THING EVERY TIME THE CHARACTORS ARE WACK THERE LIKE ROBOTS like I said that's just plain boring. Buy guitar hero you will love the epic story and everything.
