Gears of War: Judgment
camp is mediocre and the multiplayer is aweful. took away gears and gave us third person COD with power weapons
Gears J is not gears game compared to the others.
Everything that was liked from gears 1, 2, & 3 was completly changed in gears j and it was changed for the worst. The game went from being a great 3rd person shooter and a model for other 3rd person shooters to becoming a terrible game. They tried to fix things that did not need fixing and they changes made to the game made it basically another call of duty which the world does not need.
This game had so much potential, but Epic failed to deliver. They made this game more appealing to the average idiot Call of Duty player instead of the people that love the Gears Series and have since the beginning. I wish i never wasted the money on it in the first place. This game has failed to meet my expectations and i will never buy another Epic Games, game ever again. Epic...Failure
Not the same Gears, but a different twist
To start off, the game is not the same as most people think. It has a few bugs, not enough maps, and the guns seemed a little nerfed. But if you can put that behind you, its a solid game honestly. The DLC came out and will be adding more soon. The combat is nice with lots of additional things you can buy. People complain because they haven't seen the good. They fixed the over powered guns, they let you jump down from sections without having to go around, and the multiplayer has no lag from what I have seen. Don't let the negative reviews turn you away because its a good game that will get you through the summer. Plus with the price drop, it should make you want it even more. At first I didn't like it too much, but now since I realized what the game brings, I have really enjoyed myself.
i been a gears fan since the beginning i bought every game and every dlc so saying i know the game is a understament. this new gears game is disapointing. the graphics and sound are great but the story is just sad....change isnt bad but they changed it so much that it dosent feel like a gears game. upset i spent 60 bucks on it....save your money
Horrible, Just Horrible
If you are a Gears Of War fan, you will hate this. It's the same thing you would play regularly, but without the gears feel.
Not Quite Gears.....
At my first initial start of the campaign It felt like Gears of War. The graphics, dialogue, story etc; As far as the minor button configurement changes, it didn't bother me at all. It was very easy to understand. Then I dived into the multiplayer. Terrible. Boring. This game would've been better off as DLC. Over run is actually ok. However, after several weeks of owning this game, I find myself playing Gears 3 online. Let's face it, any Gears of War game coming out after Gears of War 3 is pointless. Judgement is a prime example. I say buy it used if you must. Sorry Gears fans....
i enjoyed it
whats wrong with the game the game is good and im enjoying it men and my stepdad are enjoying it. online is pretty hard to get a kill there is campers in the game. they changed up a little bit of the execution I haven't been able to beat down anyone yet. they kept the retro lancer which is cool and they kept the chainsaw. they may have gone crazy with the the enemies in the campaign which means there is a lot of them in one place. it is a really good game though.
Steer clear of this failure of a game. Epic games didn't go all out on this one. In there eyes it was quantity over quality. The gameplay is terrible. This game includes sorry gametypes that are exclusive this prequel. For gears gamers this is a definite no-no on account that it mostly like Halo or COD. This isn't Gears of War, it's garbage. The campaign is irrelevant to the trilogy aswell. There is a lack of the iconic horde mode that was also very large in the other Gears of Wars. All in all, avoid this game for it is a huge waste of money and a failure by Epic games. This is, in all honesty, the last time I will ever buy a game made by Epic.
Gears of War Judgment - It undersold for a reason
I've played the Gears games and have highly enjoyed them. Gears of War 2 will always be my favorite and Gears of War 3 was good too. I haven't played the original very much but I do know enough about Gears 1, 2, and 3 to know that Judgment isn't the same. To me, prequels just tend be worse and less interesting. Judgment isn't terrible, but it does follow that theory somewhat. When I first started playing one of the first things I noticed, and was annoyed by, is that they changed the weapon layout. There is no d-pad change weapon system anymore. You can now only have two guns and grenades, instead of the normal 2 guns, 1 pistol, and grenades. Judgment's campaign is still fun with friends, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Gears 2 & 3. They added a few more guns and also a challenge mode, which makes the game more fun and intense, such as using particular weapons or reduced visibility. The multiplayer only has like 4 maps and a few game types. Shotguns are still the main weapon of multiplayer and everyone uses them, so expect to explode by shotgun blast alot, and also expect to rage when your shotgun did nothing at point blank, which tends to happen to me a lot. The game added Overrun mode in place of Horde, which is wave by wave mode in which you're protecting something or destroying something. It's pretty fun but they still should've kept Horde as well. All in all Judgment is still a pretty good game, but it didn't keep me interested that long because after I completed the story and played a few hours of multiplayer I don't find myself that interested in playing it much more...I haven't even put my season pass to use. Any game with good multiplayer should be able to keep you entertained for at least a few days worth of counted multiplayer time. This game just didn't have that for me but I'll continue to play it somewhat to put my season pass to use. Overall verdict: Judgment is pretty good but kind of disappoints from the other Gears games.
