If you want a racing simulator, this is it.
I can't think of how this game could be any better. Great graphics, great cars, realistic racing and physics models, and amazing tracks! If you love cars, then this game is absolutely made for you. By far, this is the best Forza yet. I would recommend that you at least try this game and hey, maybe you'll actually like it!

Forza comes in first place...again
Okay let me start of by saying I used to be a gran turisomo fan and still kind of am,but when I saw forza it just blew me away. Forza 3 and 4 have the best sound, music, grapics, and realizum you will ever see on a car simulator video game. The carrer in both 3 and 4 is very very long, most likely you won't done with it in a year! The cars and tracks look beutiful... gran turismo fan or not give this a try you'll love it!!

Worth the money
This game is definantly worth $15 I know this sounds crazy but you will spend more time beating this game than you would beating Skyrim so it is definantly a huge game.

Runs Out of Gas Too Soon
Forza Motorsport 3 is a great driving simulator, with many diverse cars and tracks. This is the first in the franchise I've played, and it kept me entertained for a long time. But, after a while, the fun dies down.
That's because, while there is loads of content, it basically gives you faster cars, but on the same old tracks. I would've rather had more tracks and less cars to choose from. Upgrading to the better cars is fun, but in between those races you sometimes downgrade greatly. Why should I have to go from racing an R1 car in a World Championship to driving a class D car in a Four Wheel Drive tournament? This upsets the pace of the game greatly. I would've rather had all the lower-class races first, then all the upper class ones. Also, one more gripe I have is how easy the game is. Why can you put a Class R2 car in a tournament meant for Class E cars. That was a very bad mistake overlooked by Turn 10
That's not to say the game is all bad, just that the game is badly paced because of this. As I said before, there is LOADS of content. first you play through 6 seasons of driving, each having a World Championship with faster and faster cars as you progress. Even when you finish that there are still tons of races and to choose from in an event list. I had spent around 30 hours on this game at the beginning of Year 6, and I hadn't even touched the event list yet.
In conclusion, Forza 3 is a great driving simulator that offer hours and hours of content. Unfortunately, the fun doesn't last forever.

A review from a non-racing fan
I don't play car games, I've never been interested in car games, I've never purchased a car game.... When I bought my Xbox 360 Elite (I think that's what it's called... one of the newer models.) it came with a couple of games..... Alan Wake was one (an amazing game) and Forza 3 was the other. I played Forza 3 on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The actual gameplay and racing is quite fun.... having not played many racing games I'm not sure what to compare it to.... the different cars drive drastically differently and there are so many different modifications you can make to any car it would make your head spin. You can have lighter parts put in to reduce weight, get tires with better grip, there are even some full engine conversions you can do; dropping an engine from a different car into your own. It gets REALLY into detail about how exactly everything works and why but each upgrade also shows you the end result; how it will affect horsepower, handling, acceleration, etc, so if you know nothing about cars (me!) you can still upgrade freely simply using the "does this make my car faster or slower" chart.
The single-player gameplay consists of choosing races you wish to enter and using the prize money to trick out your car/buy new cars. It's pretty cool to take a stock Ford Mustang and dump enough money into it to where it could nearly compete in NASCAR. I've done some split-screen 1 on 1 races against friends and there is an online mode of which I have not partaken.
Forza 3 is a very well-polished, well put-together game that can draw in people that don't like or have not previously played racing games. Racing F1 powerhouses is cool but it's neat to take an old Civic and drop enough cash into it to have it challenging stock Corvettes. In this regard there is almost an RPG-ish element of earning money and upgrading (and adding to) your fleet of cars. You even earn experience (both for the car and yourself) which unlocks vendor discounts, cars (i think) and other such goodies. The music is enjoyable and the whole presentation is top notch. Definitely a neat game

Good, but alot like Forza Motorsport 2
This is a great game, but is alot like Forza Motorsport 2. There are a few differences though. There are a few new/ different cars and tracks. If you like racing games, then this one is a good one to get.

fun but repetative
This game is fun and the graphics are some of the best i have ever seen in a game. The driving is fun but the game is to easy and gets repetative after awhile.
