i got this game a week ago and i loved it from the start.considering the game was from 2009 it seemed like it was a 2011 game just cause of the graphics and gameplay there was a 2010 audi in the game so that was nice to see.i loved the game everything about it the only thing that i did not like about this game was that you could not create online public lobby's you had to create a private lobby then invite other players that you have played before in the past since i could not find this game on new i had to get it pre owned so i did but then i figured out i had to pay for the benchmark track which is a track that is really long and has all kind of different configurations i think about 6 or 7 i had to pay 5 bucks for that which sucked for me cause i really did not want to pay it but at the end i did even though i did not have to.i do recommand this game for auto racing fans it was a blast playing and if you thought this game was great then wait untill you play forza 4 even better you players will see when you get it

i am one of the most hardcore ps3 fans a person will ever meet and i only say this in regards to how great this game is... forza 3 is better than gt5. while gt5 is much prettier due to the higher quality system that is the ps3 and its great HD capabilities, it is very boring. for a person who loves good racing sims customizing cars is half the fun of the game. forza 3 delivers greatly in terms of customization where as gt5 has virtually none. while some super critics sit there and scrutinize the little details wrong with forza 3 like the lack of detail in cockpit view and half of the rearview mirror being chopped off, it doesnt take away from the gameplay whatsoever. people argue that gt5 has double the cars of forza 3. i guarantee those people will never at least 300-400 of those cars on average. i would rather fully customize 400-500 cars rather than be able to just drive 1000. in the end it just is preference on whether you just like to drive or customize what you drive and for me forza 3 is good stuff in every way.
Rated 7 out of 10 by ginkman good, not great.
Let me start by saying that as far as racing games go this is a very good effort. There are however some elements that need improvement.First, some of the tracks look as though they were ported over from forza 2 and not upgraded(eg. laguna seca)this track looks almost 2D compared to nordschleife or the la sarthe circuits.I also wish you could choose the cars you race against in some races because even if you change the opponent settings to the hardest setting, cars that should easily beat you are too easily overtaken and beaten.Another weak point are the replays. They have the same angles all the time and some shots are useless in that they show little or no interesting views. One major flaw is the replays, in that they show lots of game integration issues(ie. clipping,pop-up).It really takes away from the realism of the game.In conclusion this is a must have if you love racing games. With a little more fine tuning this could be the best out there.

REVIEW PART 1 : GRAPHICS. The graphics are very sharp, the frame rate is a constant 64 FPS, the reflections are pristine, and the attention to detail is highly noticeable. REVIEW PART 2 : GAME PLAY. Forza 3 allows you to race in a huge campaign mode/career mode, and it has OVER 400 cars for you to customize and buy. There's a full damage model for every car, and the game play can be slightly repetitive at times, if you don't buy new cars and/or customize the current car you are using. REVIEW PART 3 : ONLINE PLAY. Online play is pretty much just like any other racing sim, except if you're an XBL Gold member, you can sell you cars online, buy other people's cars online, download other people's car design templates, and gift cars to people on your friends list. REVIEW PART 4 : SOUND. The sound in this game is adaptive, for example, when you upgrade your engine, your car sounds noticeably different from when you had the default/stock engine. OVERVIEW. : Forza 3 is perfect for hardcore AND casual gamers who want a fun racing experience.

Forza 3 is by far the greatest racing game i have ever played. The graphics are unbelievable, the tracks are the greatest, and the cars are very diverse. This game has everything and then some. The racing is challenging now with more difficulty to choose from, with more bonus. Also there is the new feature called the store front. Where people can sell tuning/painting designs for the lazy or not so creative people. Now, with every game comes some difficulties or problems. First, the interior view doesn't show the driver shifting with manual transmission or even pressing the clutch. Second, Cars are awarded during random times during racing which can be annoying. Lastly, The whole game is really plain and white. The menus can get annoying and Loading is an issue because it takes really long. These problems are not very important because this game is all around the best, but be prepared for a little issue with some things.

I owned forza 2 and it was personally a wake up call for me. I played Midnight Club and found out how much garbage it was after my first time around the track. This whole business of taking hairpins at 70 miles an hour and being totally fine was really pretty bad now that i look back on it. Forza 3 is even more realistic than forza 2. The cars are better, the tracks are more realistic, the graphics are 2 or three times better, and the customization and tuning is unmatched. If you want some "arcade" style, super unrealistic game this game is not for you. You have to deal with even minute details such as downforce, camber, tire pressure, different drive trains, and even torque steer( which i dont think you will find in any other game its that realistic). So what i am saying is if you are up to the challenge of the most realistic game on the market then this game is for you. I love it, and its pretty addicting. Its so much fun. If you can get the wheel for xbox i would recomend it too because it makes the game twice as fun and realistic.Get this game!

Well to start of i will say for me to be a shooter gamer this racing game is unbelievable the graphics are top notch the best i have seen in a racing game in a long time. I like that the controls. They are stif and right on point like you are driving a real car. Every car has a different feel and sound which is nice to finally see and hear in a game.I like that the fact that you can rewind time if you mess up because lets face it it can get crazy on the track. Also the best part is that you can customize every aspect of your car from the paint to the rim size and tires to how it performes on track. I used to play alot of racing games but after awhile they got old but this will have you going for hours of paint rubbin fun. The only down side to this game that i could find is that it takes the game about a minute to load but other then that if you are a racing person i would tell you to stop what your doing right now and go buy it cause i think that this is the best racing game that we will see for a long time so what are you wating for go and get it.
Rated 10 out of 10 by the game lover Forza 3 = best racing game of year
i played forza 2 and was extremley disappointed but i said what the heck am going to tryout forza 3 and thank god that i did, because it is fantastic. it was either Nfs shift or this game and i choose this. the cars are out of this world. i love being able to get cars i propably wont be able to get in the future. i love the graphics i feel like am actually driving in the real world till i look around and remember am in my room. Then i love the music in the racing it really is good because i love driving and singing at the same time lol. BUT THE NUMBER 1 THING THAT IS REALLY REALLY REALLY COOL THAT I THINK ALL RACING LOVERS WILL LOVE IS THE AUCTION & GIFT A CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now like you can actually do pink slip races online. or if u have a friend who needs a car and you can spare him one there you go gift a car lol. i definatly recommend u get this game. hint xmas is coming up u might want to hurry and get one lol.

The racing in this game is great. Nice cars, good graphics, great detail on the cars. The racing runs the same as Forza 2 but there are more tuning points and upgrades on the car.
If you ran Forza 2 don't expect any rewards. Can't take any cars, tunes, art, or money with you. The grid set up on the season play is not straight forward. I'm in season 11 and haven't finished the whole grid yet. It doesn't keep track of individual car times on the tracks anymore. What this means is if you tune a car and run a race but it isn't you fastest time on that track you will have to write it down. Forza 2 told you where you earned a discount from so, if you wanted say a discount on tires run a Toyota to level 5. There is no way to get a discount on cars as in forza 2 (or I haven't found it yet). It will let you buy cars in the Auction house that you haven't unlocked. You can't sellem, tradem, givem away.
If you get Forza 3 then get the ultimate. Has all the downloadable cars, and tracks so you can finish the game.
I use KontrolFreek it will improve you times and its legal.

If you want that sensation of realism minus g forces and inertia, this is as close as you are likely to get to these cars. And yet they managed to make this fun and accessible for the novice. I have played GT5 Prologue and it looks quite good. But given a choice between a slide show with arcade handling and what Forza has become is not a hard choice for me, personally. I think the painters would have liked to see some tools they could wield more easily but for the better artist out there, I doubt that will deter them. Your ability to tweak and customize has been improved by their giving you the option of taking suggestions from the game as to what changes to make to optimize and perhaps stay in the same car class for the events your working on at the moment. Cockpit views are a nice touch and all the most annoying visual fidelity issues of Forza 2 are no more. All in all a very much improved experience.
