Good...but definitely for the fans...
I'm a fan, so I like it, if you like Dynasty Warriors, beat em' ups, or just brutal violence in general, you might want to pick this one up.

Fan Service
This game is basically for the fans of the series, it follows the story line of the series very closely. Its basically a beat em' up game, you go through various stages fighting groups of bad guys. Kind of reminds me of the old streets or rage games for sega. All in all I'd say if you are a fan or the series get this game, if not, its probably not for you

Amazing, epic & nostalgic
I just got this game a few hours ago, and I gotta say, as a fan of the manga/anime, I just LOVE it so far. The way everything is re-visioned and summarized is just perfect. The controls & upgrading system are fairly simple. I know a lot of people complained about how clunky the game seemed in the demo, I did too, but trust me it gets better.
This game however, may not be for everyone, since my brother was watching me play at times & at epic moments when I'd go "OHHHHHH!!!" he'd have a confused look on his face. If you haven't seen the anime or read the manga, chances are you're not gonna know wth's going on...
I would recommend this game solely to the fans

Disappointed with demo
I played the demo yesterday (with high hopes) and was disappointed. The game feels cheap. Dont get me wrong, it LOOKS beast. But the moves are sluggish, and the cam seems to have a mind of its own (especially when and right after Jagi was throwing the fire bombs). I was trying to pan the view to see where he was, and the cam kept forcing my view to some other direction. running is slow. The moves are basically, punch and kick and special move, SLOW grab, roll, an ineffective block, and jump -- and thats it. (Normal attack, strong attack, signature move, special). Thus, it felt cheap. No sweeps, no crouch, no countering. No ability to swing individual arms, legs when you choose to. I'd have loved it if the fighting moves were more free and individual. Not pre programmed combos set to one button. It's basically, keep hitting the normal attack button and the game runs through a set of two to three punch combos and then a set of two to three kick combos right after....yeah, FAIL. I want to be able to choose individual swings so I can put together my own combos like in tekken, virtual fighter, Street Fighter, UFC Undisputed 2, MMA, etc. If this game were $29.99, I'd consider buying it. But after playing the demo, I'm cancelling my pre-order. I can't see spending $59.99 for this lame (I mean, game).

almost the perfect game, but is worth the purchase
for who played the old games on first gen gameboy , genesis and super nes, the fist of the north star and kenshiro's saga from Tetsuo Hara are not a new thing; one of the most violent manga transposed in a long anime series that was almost as violent as the manga...people exploding, disproportioned character living in a post apocalyptic era....and people fighting to survive; but finally someone decided to port to the new gen console this amazing saga, and the result is a game that is based on dynasty warriors but is a tad bit better, and follow the entire arc of the story! Played the demo and has potential...not the best game ever but is a playable one, and is worth the purrrrchase :)

You're already dead.
This is going to be Game of the Year, all years. Casuals and the weak-spirited need not apply, because this Christmas, Kenshiro's gonna dispense justice all over your face!
