Final Fantasy XIII-2 Collector's Edition
Well Worth It
Okay, let me start by saying that yes the game had drawbacks and a lot could've been better. However FF XIII was an over all good game. For example, the fact that it was it had a lack of freedom to explore only supports the story. Think about it if the whole world wanted you dead and you had to do some thing in a certain amount of time and you didn't even know what it was would you want to walk around to see the sites. Yes you were stuck on one path but that doesn't change the fact that it had a good story and complex charters like any other FF game. Plus XIII-2 should be a lot more open and diverse. Now, on to the price. First off but music and art all the time plus i make both so i know how hard it is. An extra $20 for the game, art, the bow, the costume and a FOUR DISK soundtrack will not kill you. I mean come on the game it self is 60 bucks, and it looks like most if not all of the problems with the first one were well addressed. Also the fact that most of you Love the series should be enough to give an extra few bucks. I love games and I'm a collector, so trust me it's a good deal.
I loved Final Fantasy XIII I don't see why everyone else hated it; they must've been too slow to follow the story and appreciate the game for what it was, not a Call of Duty game. With that said, I have been waiting for this game since I first caught wind of it being in development since last year; I admit I was a little skeptical when I heard they changed the ending to XIII but that was laid to rest when I discovered it was due to a time paradox. From the demo alone I can tell the game will be an improvement over XIII, I am a little mad about japan getting XIII-2 1 month and 16 days before we do; Square better have some awesome DLC for NA consumers for this unnecessary wait. This will definitely be a day one for me so hello alternate costume and Genji Bow. So in closing, Final Fantasy XIII was an amazing game and Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be amazing also so go pick it up. On a side note, I love how everyone whined about being restricted to going to villages, being forced to sleep in inns, and losing all of their HP right before a big boss fight and when Square tries to please everyone they turn around and complain about that too, I already know everyone will complain about it again when this is released; One more thing what is this Final Fantasy VII remake everyone is talking about? I distinctly remember Square saying they will never remake VII because it will never live up to the original.
I loved Final Fantasy XIII-2...it was much better than Final Fantasy XIII because it created a better environment of game play than I had on its prequel. Final Fantasy XIII nonetheless was epic as well, and I didn't get why so many people hated it...I just kept believing it's because of how "tough" it was for them, and couldn't appreciate how Square Enix made such a great game. I just beat Final Fantasy XIII-2 twice, and had all 160 fragments...so that's to say it's not hard, sure it takes good thinking, but not hard; I still couldn't put the controller down even after I beat it the second time, because of how appealing it is to me...no matter what, I always find something new among all that one can find out about the game, and not to mention the achievements were incredibly easy to get, so even though many people will say against to what I've said, don't say it until you at least tried it out, I will say this...it's amazing.
Gonna be a good one.
We all think that direct sequels to FF games don't work out, hence FF X-2. However Square has gone as far to take an already great game, FF XIII, and improve everything about it. Free roam, battle, and after playing the demo for almost four hours after release, I can tell that this sequel will work. Well worth the $60 for the game. Then all the extra content that comes with it for $20 more. A four disk sound track, art-book, and DLC, all together without the game would probably be another $60 sold separately. FF XIII may not have been the best received FF out there, but personally what it lacked in free roam, it made up for in story. Personally that is what I look for in a game. It just so happened that the battle system was the best in these new age Final Fantasy's. FF XIII-2 is going to continue with that winning system., hands down. I'm off to play the demo again!!!!
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Coming from final fantasy XII, i loved the story line and the entire battle system, so it was kind of weird when i started to play XIII. I wish they would ave kept the open world going for the series that right there was a huge factor in why i bought it, but the battle system they used won me over the most. Im not saying XIII was horrible just the change wasn't really in the best interest of the customers, many people ave said bring the open world back, so im not alone in tat. But i ave alrdy preordered this game so hopefully its a good as the first one
TOTALLY GETTING THIS
i LOVE final fantasy 13 it was great story and loved the gameplay. i cant wait till this comes out its gonna be epic. 13 was my first FF game and i loved it. hope 13-2 will be just as good or better.
OMG Gonna Cry
i can not wait for this game im going to cry when they hand me my precious collectors edition ff13 made me cry . The story was wonderful and it made me feel like i was with them struggleing with the characters <3
Great game falls short with graphics
Final Fantasy XIII-2 was an amazing game continuing on with the story from FF XIII. The battle system is still very good with a wire variety of moves and a vast amount of enemies to face. My only real complaint is that when Square Enix announced that FF XIII-2 would only be on one disc they also said that the story would not suffer by "making your xbox work smarter." This was done by not pre-rendering images on the disc, saving a great amount of space but the result was graphics that fell short of FF XIII. All of the cutscenes in the game except for the few more important scenes had graphics which really took away from the characters, their movements and outfits. Lightnings armor which is the best outfit I have seen in any game looks fake and cheap, not to mention that lightning and all of the other characters entire body, especially the face and hair, took a big hit compared to their smoothnes in FF XIII. Still overall an amazing game and definantely worth having purchased limited edition game and guide, as well as steelbook pre order pack from Europe.
Collectors Edition: Worth it for the soundtrack
I'll focus purely on the collectors edition content here. People who want to own the soundtrack should definately go for this - for only 20 dollars more than the game itself, you end up saving alot of money if you were looking to import the soundtrack itself. While the soundtrack from the game is very hit or miss, overall, the music was great and very different from previous soundtracks in the series. As for the rest of the content... it's alright, but really, the deal maker here for me is the soundtrack.
i can't wait to play this game i hope its just as good as the last one.
