Close, but no cigar.
This game was thinking right, but got a hold wrong. The idea of using kinect to box was great, but when you actually try performing the moves it hardly reads. You wind up doing it over and over hoping it will actually do the move and it doesn't. All in all, the only real problem I had with this game was the kinect wasn't performing well enough for me to stick with it.

Great Idea, Bad Design
For one of Kinects first game run, this one has to be one of the worst ones made. All the moves are to similar to others and because of the rapid movement you have to do... the kinect is easily confused or just skips your movement. This was definatly a fantastic idea for a kinect game, they just had a terrible design behind it. This game has definatly hurt Ubisofts image on how they create Kinect games.

Pretty good but can use some work
I picked this game up a couple weeks ago and have been playing it, I've found that it plays very well but you must remain slow with your movements or else the sensor won't reconize your punch/kicks/elbows. I in general like this game and will keep it but I hope to find a better fighting game soon.

The tec is not ready
The kinect sensor is not ready for these games yet with such fast paced punches that our eyes can barely see so needs a couple more years till ready for this.

The game works great if you're under 5 feet tall.
The punches won't pick up. you have to have to crouch down just for the punch to register. The game lags and the punches you throw don't match up and there is a bad lagging. Over all a horrible game.

Not Street Fighter for the Kinect
I'd read a lot of bad reviews and watched a few game play videos. Being a former Karate instructor I saw things I thought worked and things that didn't so I took a chance and picked up this game. For starters the game is a game - it has limitations and quirks. If you lean forward before you punch it might think you're doing a head butt, if you throw a loose elbow it might think you're doing a hook punch. This system is only worsened by flopping arms around in a frenzy that the game isn't programmed to understand. Watching online game play videos, I couldn't even tell you what strike someone is trying to do either. In addition, if you are a fighter and used to throwing about 3 or 4 strikes in about 2 seconds - the game can't read you moving that fast. If the human eye can hardly track you what makes you think the camera will? So how do you play this game? Like a Game about Fighting (what a concept)! Learn that it wants you to use knees and elbows in some ranges, kicks and punches in others and so on. People are happy to sit there an learn a 27-step button combination for a Ultra Super Combo half of which is performed in the air. Yet we can't be bothered to learn how to use the range of your fighter in the game so attacks aren't wasted because of the rules? Also, be aware of what's going on in the game. Online you'll see people throwing wild punches and wondering why their fighter isn't doing the same when they're getting hit in the face. Just like in a real fight, if you're getting punched in the head, dodge, defend, or kick to open up the fight. Honestly, I won more matches buy doing nothing but waiting for the first fighter to make a move that I could counter... again, kind of like real life but it's also just a game.
