I don't play story mode too much, and if you get this for the single player, it may be a little rough around the edges. Though, multiplayer is quite addicting. It isn't particularly easy, since people who know what they are doing and can actually play without assists will destroy you, but once you get better it is awesome. The tricky part is when using assists, your players do some pretty crazy stuff sometimes. Your passes go way across the field or you tap the b button and the ball flies. (B is the shoot). So really, when playing these games you wanna go with manual, but it does take practice. When you pass, you have to move the stick the way you wanna pass, and if you are running straight and want to pass left, you are gonna have to move the stick left. It feels unnatural, but it's worth it. The game is still fun with assists, just don't expect to play the CPU on the hardest difficulty. If you are a casual gamer I feel that you will really enjoy the game!

I'm a Fifa addict and so i know what im talking about when i state that this is the best Fifa ever! Compared to last year, the game play is so much better. The career mode is more in depth. You now have to mange with your teams morale and players form as well as having an training academy. Also, other teams make realistic offers for your players in the transfer window. The online game play is also much better. You now compete in seasons and have to earn a certain amount of points to move up to the next division. This gives you a sense of accomplishment and makes playing online worthwhile. Now, the Graphics are AMAZING! I am a Manchester City fan and the depiction of the players, in their body style and faces is unbelievable! Its like your watching TV! However, Fifa 12 does take some getting use to. The tactical defending is not easy, but you can get used to it very easily. I would recommend this game to EVERYONE and ANYONE!

FIFA 12 is the best soccer game out there, Some cool features are FUT which has countless hours of building teams from scratch, trading players, playing with your created team, etc. Also H2H has Divisions which you start off on Division 10 and make your way up and to try to get to Division 1, but my favorite thing about FIFA 12 and all the other FIFA series such as FIFA 11 and FIFA 10 is Pro Clubs, which you make your own Virtual Pro and try to make him a World Class Striker, Playmaker of a Midfielder, Unbeatable Defender, or even a Unstoppable Goalkeeper, which you and your friends can make ya'll own Club, and compete to see where ya'll fall on the leaderboards. If your a soccer fun, sports fun, or even someone who likes to have fun, then FIFA 12 is for you, theres endless hours of fun in this game, I've been playing FIFA since FIFA 06 and never have gotten bored, its a must buy!! Can't wait till FIFA 13!!

I love soccer and i love video games so of course, i picked up this game. They did a great job at making a realistic soccer game that isn't too realistic and boring. I love playing this game with my buds and hurting all of his players so he gets mad at me. The gameplay was great. The controls were great, everything seemed like it was in the right place. It wasn't glitchy, just solid, straight up good gameplay. The graphics were good. The player figures could've been better but they were still good, the pitch was very realistic. all around the graphics were good. there were good game modes. I could honestly say that i enjoyed every game mode that was featured on this game. all around the game was superb. Haven't gotten the chance to buy the newer games but i never felt the need to. I'm not sure how EA Sports could put together a better soccer game. I'll have to check out the newer ones.

This has to be the best in the Fifa series EA has ever put out. From top to bottom, front to back this version tops everything before in this series. The graphics has been fine tuned and most of the players in the big leagues and on the big teams look darn near spot on with their looks. The sound, with the multitude of announcer options sound heads and tails better than any previous game. The game play, well, for one they have made it far more realistic. Scoring is way tougher than ever before and this year your goalie will give up goals that in previous years they never would but, in real life they would all the time. The defense from the AI is downright frustrating seeing how tough they are. What you have done in the past to win will not work this year. The only thing I am not all that keen on is, if you are using one of the big teams, you will constantly get transfer bids on your players even though you do not have them listed. The same team will make 4-5 attempts to gain your player that it becomes almost laughable. Then again, I would rather have that then no action on the transfer side.
Rated 10 out of 10 by EMc879 FIFA dominates Virtual Football
I written a review for PES, only fitting I write one for FIFA.
Many people disagree with me, but all in all the new controls are the best part about this game. No longer do you have to play against players who (literally) hold in the A button the whole game and steal the ball at any given moment. Timing of a tackle is the key part to this game defensively, just as it is in real life football.
The graphics are a bit improved, if you wanna play a game purely on graphics and not on the factor of fun, realism, and gameplay go get PES, but you'll be disappointed.
FIFA club mode is one of the best modes, get a few friends to play together, and it's endless hours of fun.
The career mode is improved, not so much as Football Manager, but still better than 11.
HTH seasons is a creative way of ranking in divisions (10) with Cup matches on the side.
All in all, FIFA takes the cake yet again.

I'll split this up a little. First, the gameplay has greatly improved from the last games. The running, the impact engine, and so much more has improved, especially when looking back at Fifa 09 for example. The sound is the typical roaring of the crowds, and the expected slightly behind commentary. The graphics are pretty dang good, but you know how there are just those few people they forgot about who bare no resemblance to themselves in real life. I'm not a PES fan in the slightest, but I have to say their graphics are a tad better. If you are a big Fifa fan, games like this never get old (until the next one, right?), so lasting appeal is solid for me. The other game modes like having a virtual pro and such are also a BIG plus, as well as the ability to download created teams from the EA Soccer website. The freedom to just make a team ( the kits, players, formations and all!) hasn't been properly available I believe since Fifa 07, so having that ability once again is another big plus for me, as well as all the improvements to it. Overall, I definitely think this game is worth buying, especially if you have Xbox Live or PSN access.
Rated 0 out of 10 by SurehanK Goldpacks, Camera Angle, and the Crouds!
The new goldpacks are gunna be great! I seriously cant wait for the game to come out, 24 Goldpacks spread out over 6 months, in my opinion thats way better than having them all at once. What im actually really excited to see is the new camera angle, the somewhat new Pro camera angle is insane, the only problem is that you cant see your teamates that are open either wide or behind you. Hopefully the new camera angle is gunna be awesome. The one thing that i happen to have a problem with Fifa is that in Fifa 11 only certain players could do certain moves, like they wouldnt even try to do it, because of their ability. I mean all the players should be able to try, say, the Maradona move. All players should be able to try it, but only the ones with the higher ability should be able to get it 100 percent. Now, the crouds in Fifa 12 are said to be much better and more life-like, instead of those regular fans that look like cut-outs made of cardboard. Along with the new croud the stadiums are also said to be a big hit, i honestly cant wait to see the great stadiums like Emirates, Santiago Bernabeau, and St. James. GUNNA BE A STOKED OUT GAME!!! CAN'T WAIT!
Rated 5 out of 10 by MoosyMoose PES 12 = gameplay FIFA 12 = graphics
FIFA 12 has great graphics but it does not focus on gameplay. The connection between players is really bad. There are no techniques in the game. Even when it comes to individual. Like when u trying to get through a defender u fail most of the time. Its horrible game for a player that use more techniques than just focus on the graphics. But PES 12 is the opposite. its more realistic. it has way more techniques u can use. You can get through defenders easily. But the graphics not better than FIFA 12. my suggestion that if you’re a player who play smart and like individual play. get PES 12. but if u really into graphics and just want to enjoy the game. get FIFA 12. i had FIFA 12 but i exchange it with PES 12 because I’m more of a smart player.
