Perfect
Awesome game. They put the graphics and gameplay to the extreme. The lasting appeal would last forever considering the map editor. The Story is amazing, with amazing characters. The audio is amazing, specifically in the Hornet's Nest mission.

Far Cry 3 Multiplayer - Slow and Bad Servers
I've already done the Story review, so here is the Multiplayer review. To start, there is two mutliplayer modes: Co-op and Versus Multiplayer. I'll start with coop. Coop has probably the worst server and lobby I've ever seen in a game. When you click to go to coop, you don't even get to choose what level you are going to unless you are lucky enough to find your own empty lobby, which is very unlikely. So basically as soon as you click "find game" you will be thrown into the middle of a coop session or into a pre-lobby where you don't get to change to what level you want to go to. Only the host has the power to change the level. And if the host leaves or disconnects, 99% of the time the entire game disconnects, making you lose the entire mission. This predicament made a really hard time for me for achievement hunting. You have to play a level from beginning to end to get the achievements, and it has to be done with randoms online, or offline splitscreen. Private match coop did not work. Onto actual gameplay of the Co-op Mission. They can take somewhere between 30 minutes - 60 minutes depending how good your team is, or how suicidal and dumb some of them are. You start with a cutscene of the four characters you play as, giving you a slight briefing on what you will do. But basically for the majority of every mission you just rampage some villages or camps, search for a bunch of pieces to blow something up or move something out of the way, a mini-game competition between you 4 players, and some kind of semi-conclusion to the mission. Oh and possibly a lot of dying and restarting due to Juggernauts all over the place. So basically, all the co-op missions have you just shooting up everything because the pirates just keep on coming. Unless you know every person in your group, you will have no chance of any tactic because everyone goes in guns blazing. VERDICT ON COOP: Bad servers with near impossible mission selection having you go mow down pirates for basically 45 minutes in every mission with some different scenery and a mini game. Actual multiplayer: Multiplayer is a little better because you can choose the game type, but it usually takes awhile to find and get into a game. Generally there is only about 8 people in an entire game, but it can go up to 14. You can have custom classes and skills and such for in-game use to help you are your team. There are kind of "killstreaks" such as Scouts (or UAV) and poison gas to use on the enemy team, but I don't really see many 'killing killstreaks' used so it's not a terribly common thing to see. I don't really understand health in multiplayer because there are many kinds of health boosts people can get, making it take a lot more bullets to kill a guy so you usually ended up losing that fight... a lot. It takes a bit of skill to go on a kill streak in this game, but everyone can be revived by a team mate when downed, unless you go back down within like 20 seconds. The revive idea is good...and bad. Because basically you might "kill" two guys right in front of you, and the third guy you didn't see will revive them all and then they will come back and kill you. MULTIPLAYER VERDICT: Servers are slow but at least you'll be able to play most games through without too many issues, and don't expect to get much more than 15 kills in a game because that's just kind of how it is.

Long Repetitive First Person Jungle Adventure
This game is a First Person Shooter, in an Open World, with an RPG aspect. This game starts out pretty interesting and suspenseful, but it gets to the point of just dragging on and on after awhile. What you actually do game play wise is pretty repetitive. You can shoot animals as you wander the islands and craft their skins into useful stuff, drive vehicles and boats, and take over enemy outposts, but you'll probably get bored of it as soon as you do a couple in a row because they're so repetitive. In any mission or side mission you're fighting tactics will be basically the same, and most of them turn into bullet spraying showdowns, but if you take a little time you can silently eliminate them all with knives and silenced weapons, which is much more rewarding. Otherwise there are only a couple main missions where you get anything different to fight with, such as riding with an NPC as the machine gunner. For about the first 50% of the game most of your travel will be attempted vehicle driving, but I find traveling on foot and sprinting up and down hills gets you places faster. There are a few hang gliders here and there, and they are extremely fun to fly. And what's even better than that, is that eventually you will get a "squirrel suit" as I call it , and a parachute so that you can jump off cliffs and glide to your destinations. Combat is a lot of spraying bullets and a lot of sticking yourself with needles every 15 seconds to heal yourself before you die from bullet fire. The even worse part, is that you'll be sticking yourself every 5 seconds if you're fighting a tiger or similar animal, because animals DESTROY you in this game. It's harder to fight two tigers in this game than 10 guys with firearms on full auto. The story is interesting at points, and incredibly dull and repetitive at other points. Some "main" characters will feel important to you, and others will just make you think why are they there, by this I mean your friends you're suppose to be saving, who basically do nothing for you in the whole game. The aspect of saving your friends played out nothing like I thought it would. Instead of sneaking into the camp your friends should all be at, you spend all your time training with some tribe to become a warrior involving some kind of weird tribal voodoo magic and junk to give you the "power" to defeat your enemies, when all you really do is just run around and kill pirates for the most part. The enemy pirate leader Vaas is an interesting character, but at points is just annoying as can be because he repeats like the same thing in every other cut scene. Obviously with any game you take a bunch of bullets and heal yourself in normal game play, but most of the time in games if you get hurt in a cut scene, it's a big part of the story and that character is either out for the count or dead, but not in this game. In this game there are probably 5 or more cut scenes where your character takes enough damage to kill you without a doubt, but instead you just walk off that knife stab to the heart as if it was a needle point to the thumb... This game took me somewhere around 20 hours to beat and that's at like 75% completion. I just haven't gotten all the collectibles and left a few side tasks. I haven't played any Coop or Multiplayer so I don't have any info for that. OVERALL: Don't get me wrong, this game is pretty fun and enjoyable, but it also is lengthy and pretty repetitive to a point. After a few hours you'll understand because you may find yourself annoyed by the same dialogue and actions over and over and over. There are a few interesting little bits like Hang gliders, the flying squirrel suit, and poker that can keep you entertained, but for the most part it's a lengthy adventure that doesn't seem to resemble anything you thought you'd be doing.

Best Game Ever
This is the best video game I have ever played. Their is nothing wrong with this game. Before I played this game I thought Skyrim was the best game. After playing this, every game including Skyrim looks like crud.

Awesome game.
This was sooo goood. I really loved the map-editor. I didn't like how you couldn't play co-op on it without having LIVE. :( mine expired about a month ago.

Open-world goodness with tons to do and see
Far Cry is, in a word, "sweet." It gives you a HUGE map, loads it up with tons of beautiful places to go and fun things to do... the story is actually not burdensome despite how it may appear to some at the very beginning... you gets lots of fun toys of destruction (oh yeah, fire propagation is back..... thus you start a fire in the brush and soon you've got a REALLY big fire; like in Far Cry 2), it's really hard to find enough good things to say about Far Cry 3.
Basically this takes place on a couple of tropical islands in the South Pacific Ocean... you have a main plot-line to advance but you can choose to either do this, do one of the many, many side quests/item collection tasks scattered throughout the islands, or you can free-roam and explore one of the coolest locations I've seen in a game. The graphics in general are really good but the islands themselves are GORGEOUS!! Wandering around finding hidden lakes, soaring waterfalls, hidden caves, old WWII bunkers... the island itself becomes a character in a way. It's not quite Bioshock's "Rapture"... I'd perhaps compare it to New York from Crysis 2 (sorry, haven't picked up Crysis 3 yet so can't compare that). Sure, it's not post-apocalyptic like Crysis, but it's the same in that you'll consistently stop and gawk at some of the amazing scenery. Far Cry's weather effects and day/night cycles heighten this, as you'll see when you first run across a waterfall draining into a lake in the jungle with slight rain coming down, or the sun rising or setting as you stare out over the ocean. The music is used rarely but to good effect and the sound effects are good... it's just that the visuals of the island steal the show.
The gameplay is fun and tight, shooting feels fun and the multitude of weapons are a joy to blast through the island with. There is an XP system where you get experience for tasks/kills and upgrade your character through 3 skill trees. You have to do some of the Story Missions to fully unlock the skill trees, but you'll have the whole thing unlocked with LOADS of game to spare.... depending on how much side stuff you do in the beginning I'd estimate you'll have a good 80% of the total game content left after you get the skill trees fully unlocked. The whole island is basically a big sandbox, giving you freedom to do whatever, whenever. The missions/tasks give you this same freedom. You can sneak around doing stealth-kills, snipe from long range, lob Molotov Cocktails and burn the place down.... the huge areas and large variety of weaponry (along with how you develop your character's skill points) allow for lots of options.
Far Cry 3 is just a lot of fun. Even if you ignore all of the optional side quests/challenges and the main quest you'll still find lots of things to occupy your time on these amazing looking islands. The complaints many had about Far Cry 2 have all been fixed (enemy re-spawn points that couldn't be captured, weapons breaking, not a lot of side quests/diversions) and this game is about as bug-free as you can get (ESPECIALLY for an open-world game). With the recent price-drop I'd grab this game immediately.... even if the genre doesn't sound like your thing: this game is good enough to convert people.

Pirates ARGHHH!
This game in one word is AMAZING! There are very few games out there like this one that evolves open features and weaponry like Far Cry 3. Based on an island that your friends have been taken captive and you have to rescue them while facing pirates keeps you entertained and on your toes the whole time. I purchased this game when it was 29.99 and let me say that it has to be the best bang for my buck in a long time since fallout: new vegas GOTY. If you like FPS games but also love the features of leveling up and selecting skills from different tress like Skyrim you'll enjoy this game to the fullest. Best hands down solid gameplay the whole time definitely should go get it if your into Action - RPGs
