It's funny how somebody could give this or any other game such a poor review based on his expectations and not the game itself. The guy who left the first review, imploring everyone to not buy this game, was obviously disappointed because Facebreaker didn't turn out to be like Fight Night! As if the cartoon characters didn't give that much away already... If you're so obsessed with the dying sport of boxing and need an overly technical simulation to give the game a chance, this definitely is not the game for you. But, if you can step outside the box for a minute and allow yourself to have a little fun, you might find this to be a very enjoyable game. Its like Team Fortress meets Mike Tyson's Punch Out (for next gen consoles). Though the game could use a few pointers to improve future versions, Facebreakers is a breath of fresh air to anyone looking for something new and different. Rent it first, then decide for yourself. But please, don't take the words of a limited review by a limited mind as the only reason you don't check this game out. You might just regret it!

I played them demo 1st the played the actually full game. The demo was very limited obviously. But when i started playing the full version it came alive. All the special moves each player has is cool and funny all at once. Great to play with others. YOu should definately play this when your bored for a break from other serious games you may be playing. ON a lighter note. This game is very funny to begin with. every play has a very specific style of fighting. YOu can groin kick all the males in the game but try kicking the females in the groin and you in for a suprise. The face breaker moves are hilarious for the most part. You really have to be on your feet for this game and very quick. the players came move like lightning so get your blocks down pat during pratice before moving on to actual fighting.

I've been playing the Facebreaker demo with my friends for a while, and I have to say, it is nothing like Fight Night. It's an incredibly fast fighting game that will have your arms sore and begging for more. I have Fight Night, and I also enjoy that game, but there really is no way to compare the two. They are completely different games. It's kind of like comparing NBA Live to NBA Street. So enough talking about "This game is a joke, it will never sell, Fight Night is the only good boxing game." Facebreaker is in a league of it's own. Incredibly fast, incredibly innovative, incredibly fun. This is a game I will definitely be buying on the day of its release, and I suggest you guys all buy it too (especially the guys talking trash about the game, I definitely want to break their faces!).

This game is fun especially with two players. The guys you can play as all have different abilities. And you can pick which one suits you. The challenge is really good because if you suck they take it easy if you're good they go crazy on you. Also the different areas you can play at are funny and look good. But the graphics are cartoonish and that to me makes it better. Also what's cool is when one of the characters face gets beat up and their face is all swollen thats cool. Also the certain combos you can do. You can lay them out. The statistics are just a little different from regular boxing it shaped more around face breaker. Over all the game is fun. Online it's the same as playing co-op so wish that was different but what do you expect it's boxing.
Rated 3 out of 10 by kjoyner420 This game sucked
Ok, yeah the graphics are awesome but that was about it. The gameplay was flawed at best, controls were too much like most button mashers. I had me and three other friends try it and they couldn't even get past the 4 person in the game in career mode. This game is by far not worth my time or money. The only cool thing about it was the face recognition were you could put a photo in to make a fighter that had your face, but even that was flawed. I tried many different ways of making a picture to work, but unless it's taken EXACTLY like the example they give you, it doesn't work. I honestly feel that they should have re-thought this game out before they put it out on the market. I give this game a 3 out of 10 because this game just doesn't meet my standards.
Rated 3 out of 10 by DarkSideRacer worst game I have bought yet
This is a terrible representation of the boxing world. The characters lack character, and the control response is much less than desired. Out of all of the games I have bought for my 360 so far, Facebreaker has got to be the biggest waste of money yet. There is literally no story mode just a basic level-introducing arcade mode that is reminiscent of a certain arcade box. The character building process is extremely non-detailed, and the choice of clothes to style your character in is close to non-existent. Your fighting style is based on which of the game's characters you wish to model your own form after. I would strongly advise all devoted fighting game players to stay away from this train wreck of a game. In my opinion EA's worst game yet.

This game doesn't have much going for it. Nothing is really worth it. If you like games like PunchOut then look away because it is nothing like the old slap-stick comedic boxing classic. If you are a true boxing fan and love Fight Night then definatly look away! No realisim, no variety on characters or anything for that matter(venues & moves, etc.). What is with the stupid side 3rd person view?? I mean if I wanted to play Soul Caliber or MK I would have popped them into my xbox, but when I put a boxing game in I would like a boxing experience, realistic or not! Its like a basic arcade fighting game, just with characters wearing boxing gloves! Please people DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! You will get the same depth and experience just by playing the demo!

facebreaker is a really fun game to play, because there punching in there is crazy, and the gameplay is very good.the graphics on this game is real for a kid boxing game.i'm really happy what EA sports freestyle did to this game.the only problem about this game is there is only 12 boxers u can choose from, but when you first start the game there is only about 6 or 7 boxers unlocked.my favorite fighter is spin,he is really good in this game, and i like his special.don't listen to haters on this game,i think it is a really good boxing game, but it is not better than fight night round 3 or fight night round 4.brawl for it all is really fun to play beacuse u have to fight people, then u win a belt, but u don't win one,i think you can win four.good.fun
Rated 10 out of 10 by Jedidude BEST cartoon fighting game EVER!!!!!!
Facebreaker brings out a lot of funny punches in the gut. The Brawl for it All was hard because your opponent would land combos on you or just block your moves. Other then that the game was pretty cool. The graphics were just like any other cartoon but still the best cartoon graphics. The characters were all cool and they each had there own ability like Ice would land a lot of combos or Spin is fast moving but not strong (but I still don't get Steve I mean who ever heard of a quadruple boxing black belt I mean come on dude you suck.) My favorite part of the game is that the harder you punch your opponent in the face the bigger the bruise gets and trust it is really huge. If I were you I would buy this game because this deserves a great game award.

Yet another game that will just sit on the shelves and collect dust. A horrible idea and clearly there isn't any way to make a boxing game that much better because look at don king's fight night. Another horrible game. Stick with your fight nights if you want to play boxing or I would even suggest going back to mike tyson's punch out for nes, about the same graphics as this game and you only have to hit two buttons! By the way don't even waste your time renting this one. 0 out 5 stars
