One of few games i couldn't get into AT ALL
Fable heroes is one of the few “games.” That I can’t give a detailed review on, for two main reasons.
1, it’s too short to have many details.
2. Wasn’t fun enough for me to play it more then an hour.
It’s essentially fable 1, but in a 3d 2d view. Basically it’s oldschool side screen, but still technically 3d. Like fable you get experience from kills, and use those to upgrade your character. Upgrade attack damage, damage resistance, spells, etc. The biggest thing is teammates. Not just co op, but at all times there are four dolls on screen. Even if you are playing by yourself, you have 3 npcs with you. They do well enough considering that the game isn’t complicated. The fighting is pretty boring. It’s hack and slash, but in a child format. No fun blood, no juicy dirty jokes, etc. Theres notta.
The screen like I said is side screen aka 2d format. However a lot of times it’ll tilt or something just to where you can’t see the enemy right before you. The map itself reminds me of a board game layout. Like in fable 1 where it was set paths. Many areas instead of set paths that you can’t go to the rest of the area you see, it’s a set path and between the set paths is nothing. Like a white or dark void.
The sound is much like little big planet. In that it’s just a very child oriented instrument themed song. It gets headache very quickly. If you give this game a chance, I highly recommend having an MP3 player, radio, or dashboard music ready.
Fable to me is famous for a few basic things. One of which is monopoly. Buying houses and renting them out. This game there is none.
Dealing with merchants to buy better gear, buy and sell stocks for profit, etc. This game has none.
Lots of side quests. Usually fable games are 6-10 hours of main quest, and 4-10 hours of side quests. This game… notta.
A story that, it might not be the best story, but it’s a lot more creative then most games. This game doesn’t really have a story. Ok it does, but it’s such a joke that it might as well not have one.
Fable is about fame. Doing things to make the world (albion) either love you, or fear you. Thinks like doing good deeds and bad deeds. Giving compliments or insulting. Sparing peoples lives, or slaughtering them all. When Fable was first announced, the thing they preached the most is “having a choice”. In this one there is none. I mean that point was the backbone of Fable, yet it’s absent of Fable Heroes.
Customization. In fable 1-3 you can do things like making your character buffer or thinner. You can make your character have scars, a messed up nose. Customize their beard, mustache, and hair. Dye their hair. Customize their clothes. Even using a lot of mana gives you blue glowing mana viens, etc. In this game, there are literally no customization options at all. There are… I think 9 dolls to choose from total. You start with a basic selection of four, and slowly unlock the rest. But those dolls are stuck the way they are, no customizing. So rather then hundreds… possibly thousands of customization options, there are a total of 9.
It’s an arcade game, so I didn’t expect much. I got this game cause my ex (gf at the time) thought it was cute and showed interest… half an hour into it and we were both bored. I mainly recommend this to very young gamers, that aren’t allowed to play realistic (bloody) games. If you are old enough/allowed to enjoy a realistic game, and or one that’s a challenge, you’ll likely be disappointed.
This game just further proves my point. Fable TLC was a great game, but lion head makes them worse and worse as they get modernized.

Not as bad as it seems
I understand this isn't exactly like the Fable series, but as far as Arcade game go, this isn't as bad as some say. I personally didn't love it but It was a good game to sit around and earn achievements.
