F1 Race Stars
F1 Race Stars- An Outstanding Arcade Racing Game!
As an avid Xbox 360 fan of simulated and selected arcade racing games, I was invited to try this pure arcade racer by another online gamer friend. I immediately and thoroughly enjoyed the game on all levels. From the caricature representations of the 2012 F1 race drivers and the manufacturer's cars, to the vivid gameplay graphics, and down to the variety of game modes, I am glad to have purchased this game. The four gamer local multiplayer modes will also provide hours of fun when my grandsons come over to visit and game! As a longtime fan of all CodeMasters' racing games, I was quite satisfied with their genre venture and use of the Ego physics engine to add realtime reactions in the gameplay. Any and all racing gamers should get this game for the fun, laughs/smiles, for the awesome replay value, and a wonderful means of relaxation!
My 4.5 year old son LOVES this game. We downloaded the demo and he loves it. We can hardly pry him from the TV. I have also played the Demo and I love it. It is so cute and lots of fun. We will be buying the full version for my son for XMAS!
I'm not sure who exactly this game is marketed to ...but it looks like lots of fun. Demos have shown it to be remarkably similar to Mario Kart racing - boosts, debris on the screen, bouncing mines, etc. - but that isn't such a bad thing, seeing as Mario Kart is great party fun. Some differences exist, though, as pit stops appear to be necessary as your car will take damage. Knowing this is a Codemasters title it will be bug and glitch free, and the handling will be excellent. It will be interesting to see if this game fetches much online multiplayer, or if it will function mainly as a party game. Previews state 4 split screen players can participate, so maybe it is time I pick up a few more controllers and see if my kids will like this as much as Mario. But I am left wondering if there is enough diversity to make this a stand-alone game (kinda the same problem I had with Dirt Showdown!) or if it would have been much better - and cheaper? - as an Arcade title.
