by funkytown Endless hours of fun.
This game is filled with adventure, fighting, and decision making. Unlike most games, you can choose what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. Perfect for almost every gamer.

so, I went out and bought Oblivion a couple days ago. I thought to myself that if it was the game of the year and an RPG, my favorite game type, it must be great. Boy was I wrong. I found the only good things in this game to be the sound and the graphics. The graphics were really great. Another good thing thing was how big the game actually was. The map is huge and you can walk to every city in the game. The expansions also add a bunch of different things to do. Now the cons of this game. First off, there are way to many glitches. You can look them up online and find a variety of them. Another con is that the fighting in this game is way to simple. You just press RT twice and boom, the enemy is dead. The storyline is this game is also repetitive and boring. The same goes for the different guilds spread out in the game. The only reason I continued to play this game after 1 hours was due to the achievements. Overall, if you aren't an achievement freak, this game isn't worth the ** bucks.
Rated 10 out of 10 by chubby lini Best game ive ever played
Oblivion is awesome. It's so addicting, i just can't stop playing it. ive had it for about 3 months now and ive almost completed all of the quests in oblivion and the two expansions knights of the nine and shivering isles. i also have all of my skills at 100 which took a LONG time. Its a really cool game beacause you can play the game how you want to. you can do all the quests, make your own character, join a bunch of factions and just do what you want. there are numerous weapons and armor, but the best is madness that you can get in the shivering isles expansion. you can also fight in the arena and earn gold and fame and become the grand champion. there are a bunch of gliches, but some of them are good and you can unlimited gold and items if you want. you can also enchant your own items and make your own spells. it is no doubt the best game ive played, and i would definatly recommend this game to anyone who likes a video game that never really ends and is really fun.
Rated 10 out of 10 by XIGRIM REAPERIX Amazing, Awesome, spectacular, and did I mention awesome
This game is great. Plus the GOTY edition is a great price. Trust me, i payed full price for every download and loved every single one. This game has a good variety of weapons, spells, armor, and more. The game has some of the best graphics. There is some time were you'll be riding your horse or just running and the game will take a second to load it up but thats it; 1 second max. The overall frame rate is great. The game has plenty to do besides the main quest you got side quests, factions/guilds, random exploring and more. Plus not every cave or fort is linked to a quest. I can only think of 3 things i didn't like about the game. 1. Loading every time you go into a city or a building. 2. A million useless, pointless, annoying items. 3.That some spells will never be cast due to how much magic it takes not even an all out mage can do some of them. Well that's it I recommend this game to anyone. I'm afraid to pick it up again because I don't want to get addicted.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a highly immersive, and addicting RPG that allows you to simply do what you want! You could start with the main storyline, which isn't even where a majority of the fun lies, or you could choose from a variety of side-quests that have their own unique story-line. While the graphics are not as up to date as many of the titles on the Xbox 360, they are two years old and still hold their own. The soundtrack is very mellow and calm, but is more heavy during battle when it has to. Character customization plays a major role in how the game is played. Whether you want to use a stealthy and agile character or an all out brawler who uses brute strength to take out their enemies. Oblivion can be taken lightly as a casual RPG, or be taken heavily, for those twelve hour gaming sessions, it doesn't matter. There are countless activities to be done in this massive game. This game comes highly recommended from me for those who enjoy western RPG's.

By far this is one of the best RPGs I've ever played! Granted there is a set story about you trying to stop your world from being destroyed, but you have a world to explore none the less. At start you get to choose how your character looks, race, male or female, what they major in like magic, warrior or thief. Nevertheless the customization is close to limitless. This game has alot of replay value due to the fact you never make the same character twice and can join different guilds. My favorite guild was the assassins guild with where if you do well enough you get the choice to become a vampire. Its an open world RPG so there are many towns and people each with thier own personalities. If you want an RPG that allows you to explore the world and the creatures that inhabit it. Now as great of a game this is, it isnt for everyone. Alot of people might find it boring and drawn out, but to those RPG fans this is a great game for you. Id recommend this game to any and all who love a fantasy story and open world RPG.

I love this game. I definitely spent a lot of time playing this game. There were a ton of side quests fromt he main one. The main story line was pretty decent. The map was good too. It has arrows to help you with your tartget in quests. It is really good about logging and updating with quests so you aren't wondering if you actually can move on to the next thing/item. The graphics were good too. The colors were really vivid. I finished the main Oblivion quest and the Shivering Isles. I am still working on finishing Knights of the Nine. In this game you go through caves, castles, peoples' homes... You can sell items you find to shops in town or fence the items you have stolen to the thieves guild. You can sneak up on people and look at things in 1st person view. There are melee weapons, magic, hand to hand, and long range weapons to use. This game has a lot of things to do. I love this game sooooo much! I cannot wait for TES IV:Skyrim to come out in November.
Rated 10 out of 10 by i <3 baseball possibly the best game ever made!!
the only game that could be better if they made a elder scrolls 5. well first off i like this game because if you dont like just doing the main quest you can go explore caves do sidequests. join guilds for exmaple dark brotherhood (assassins), fighters guild (quests for like pest control), theives guild (theifs and quests), mage guild (maging quests). the graphics may be a little edgey sometimes very rarely. but if you have ever just looked at the night sky on this game its full of stars its actually very good looking, the stars actually twinkle. the sound is great rather its fighting or droping items the sounds 10/10! the gameplay is amazing the swordfighting and archery. and you can ride horses, buy houses, bet on arena matches, or join the arena. and you dont need the goty version to have fun oblivon it self is awsome. but shivering isles and knights of the nine just top this game off. i would recomend this game to anyone who likes game period. do yourself a favor buy this game. you will 100% enjoy yourself trust me!!

Wow. I have a 20 gig harddrive too. I'm almost out of room-don't even have movies or anything else other than map packs for my shooters and all this oblivion stuff. I just recently traded it in after I heard they were releasing a GOTY edition. Now I'm having second thoughts about getting it again. Yeah sure, now I free up room but I DID have to pay for all that stuff. To see them slap another 60 bucks price tag on this and not offer NEW content in this bunble is a slap in the face to those who had live and brought all their crap. I think I'm going to aviod this altogether. I'm not a bank and I'm not made of money. Do the math. Last year's game was 60 - the expansion pack was 3000 points so I'll round that off to 30 bucks plus all the extra little downloads were looking to around 40 bucks. Now they want us to whip out another 60 towards stuff we had to lose on our harddrives and no extra content ? You blew it guys I'm down with your games.
